I am originally from New Jersey and used to go here all of the time. I would like to share with you all a story of hope, dreams, and reasons why I am pro choice. The bartender Dan makes me not only believe in abortion, but leads me to believe that his mother should have been held at gun point and forced to have one. If you think this sounds horrible, you have yet to meet him. Upon our arrival to the beach bar, we immediately went to the bar to order drinks. We greeted Dan with a smile which was not returned. My friend ordered two beers… Dan walked away… we waited… five minutes… seven minutes… ten minutes… my friend then asks«Excuse me, did you forget about my beer?» «No I have not,» Dan replied, «but I’ll get to it when I have a moment.» Dan was not busy at this time, he was doing it just to be an ass. Another five minutes goes by and my friend asks nicely again«I’ve been waiting here for fifteen minutes now, can you just hand me the bottle of beer?» Dan at this point IGNORES him and turns his back to him. At this point he’s calling his name repeatedly. Then a girl comes up and yells«Dan, can we get 14 shots over here, honey.» to which Dan immediately jumps full force to serve her as if he just experienced his first four inch erection. He begins to prep and pour the shots right in front of us for the girl’s party. At this point, my friend(who is much kinder than I am) is getting mad. Dan finishes the shots and my friend calls out«Dan, can I please have my beer.» Dan ignores. «Dan, Dan, Dan, hey Dan,» at this point I chime in «Hey Dan, $%&* you!» He hears it, grabs security, gets in my face to which I reply«You ignored us for 20 minutes but the second I insult you you feel the need to get big and bad. How about you just do your job.» I was ejected from the bar. In short, I thought that this was possibly him having a bad day. Apparently, he does this to multiple people. I had heard from quite a few of my other friends that Dan at the beach bar was a nightmare and they had similar stories. Its as if he picks one group to screw with from the gate without any provocation. Dan is the type of person that when he was born, they threw away the baby and sent his mother home with the afterbirth. He is a placental piece of crud and I hope that someday when he finds love, she leaves him for Carrot Top so that he can spend the rest of his miserable life wondering why he is alone. He is a cancer on society and is a disrespectful poop stain on this county’s history. This is me being nice. Dan sucks.

When the weather is nice out in the summer this is one of the best spots to chill at on the beach with an awesome view, a cold drink, and some good bands playing during the afternoon. Mix of young and old with the crowd leaning to the younger side. It’s one of those spots that if you can score a table keep it for hours and never leave. Can get crowded with your typical Jersey Shore meatheads. Catch some rays, catch a buzz, and soak up the warm summer beach air along with a tan. Enjoy people watching and laugh at the freakshow. Usually no cover charge during the day unless there is an event going on. Mediocre food selection that they get from Pickles Deli across the boardwalk so skip it. At night there is usually a DJ playing and it becomes a dance party with a huge floor. Full bar with plenty of canned beer and frozen drinks along with some drink specials. Cute waitresses wearing sexy bikinis. Bathrooms are pretty close to being porta potties. Yet, I find this place kind of fun in a low-brow way that keeps us coming back whenever we are here for a summer weekend.

Beach bars are awesome during summer time as you get fresh beach air while you are sipping on your favorite drinks.

I wish there was a negative rating. I came here and got a drink. The drink came in a souvenir cup, i took the cap off to realize there was a fly inside. I told the manager and she didnt want to take it off the bill. This place deserves 1 star

We really only go to Sammy Hagar’s because it’s right on the beach, and the bar and bathroom access are clutch if you’re spending the day on the beach. They also have waitress service, and those girls are put together… There’s not usually a cover during the day, but when we were at the Air Show, it was $ 10. That got you in and out all day though. Apparently, it’s only during the days of events. Drinks are reasonably priced. Coors Lights are on special on Fridays, and Miller Lites are cheaper on Saturdays. They also have the 32 ounce Brawler which has half priced refills. The Brawler is a little pricey, but you get plenty of liquor. Nothing spectacular, but it is what it is which is a bar on the beach with a good crowd, live music, and DJ’s.

Great Spot! Came here on a Sunday night not expecting much, but there was a good crowd and lots of beats flowing from the DJ… I’m a fan! Drink specials were OK(I do realize this is a beach bar owned by a casino on the boardwalk), but still nothing outstanding. The Strawberry rum specials were pretty good.

Every time I walked past this place on the board walk I wanted to go in, but never did because I was always on my way to something! Great location, and most nights I could hear a really good band doing covers of pop music. Will definitely hit this place up on my next trip. How could you not want to sit on the beach, have drinks while serenaded by a good cover band, and chill?

This place was oddly fun. Stopped here on the way to Revel, $ 4 cans. And they have awesome cans, Yuengling, Blue Moon. The band that was playing, Garden State Radio(if I remember correctly) was awesome too. Nice and open, huge bar, lots of tables and chairs as well, and obviously on the beach. The reason i’m giving it only 3 stars is because we came back muuuuch later, and there was a huge cover, drinks more expensive, and the DJ was just mediocre. If it’s a little earlier in the night, worth stopping by for a few drinks.

Pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. Lately, eating in Atlantic Beach has been a crapshoot, but the steamed shrimp were huge and delicious and the soft shell crab sandwhich was perfect — one of the best we’ve had. Sawyer, our waitress, was also quite attentive and polite.

Really one of the cheapest places to drink, it was packed and the waitress was very attentive and the drinks were actually pretty strong, they even gave us a free round cuz we were on our honeymoon. They had an excellent band followed by a terrific dj.

This business is on the beach of Atlantic City, NJ. Drinks are reasonably priced. Customer service is HORRIBLE! Was just at the bar abt 15 min. Ago. Sad to say dude got no tip b/c he failed to even acknowledge us. Had to flag him down. I hv no words for the women bartenders as they sucked as well with their lack on interest in serving us. The nasty toned comment made that we’d hv better luck sitting at a table & letting a waitress serves us. Chick we are in AC to gamble, u don’t know I’d we are balla’s or not. You could hv gotten a sweet tip. Hues that didn’t matter ’ cause u get large tips from ur regulars. Tsk, Tsk.

Nice fun place. Right on the beach. Drinks are reasonably priced with great prices for a beach bar. Small menu but good in a pinch. Great bartenders. Great waitresses wearing the coolest bikinis. Girlfriend hates the bathroom. $ 10 cover for band a great value. Only complaint was the band was supposed to start at 8 but didn’t hit till 9:30 :( Finally a place where you don’t feel ripped off

Old limes, canned beers and rude staff. We wanted to get a round of drinks at what we thought looked like a fun place. None of the whoreish looking staff approached, so we went to the bar and just received dirty looks from the bartenders. My friend finally got Dan’s attention, and he was a real ass. The coronas were warm, and the limes were at least two days old. $ 31 for three old coronas and a crown and cran that was more like a plastic Dixie cup with all cran and a whisper of crown. Never again for me.

Went to this beach bar for the first time last week and we had a great time. They had a Happy Hour on Wednesday night which included $ 4 Belvedere drinks. You know I took advantage! HAHAHAHA It also happened to be 80s night which was a lot of fun. The crowd is mixed in age from 20s to 40s and everyone had a great time singing along to the«oldies» and dancing by the DJ booth. The best beach bar in AC. I can’t wait to go back! :D FYI — No need to run to the Casino when the drinks go «through your system»(lol), they have a trailer with 3 sets of bathroom in the back. YESSSS! ;)

Did not eat, but had a few drinks. Nice staff, good service, and they wear bikini’s during the day. Not a bad place! They have a guitar they will fill with, well I am not sure. But you can get one and try it. Must people I saw were half way through one and they or the guitar had hit the floor at least once. Fun place to hang out.

holy shit. waitresses in bikinis… like hot college waitresses… in…skimpy…bikinis. giant beach bar with a huge dance floor, great cover bands and a mediocre DJ. tough to get seats, but if you do, sit back and enjoy the friggin show… black dudes that can’t dance hitting on white chicks that can’t dance(that’s a given)… miller lite drafts are $ 3…prepare to get shizzatfaced. this place is gold.

Let me start off by saying that Sammy’s Beach Bar has secured itself some prime real estate in the eyes of AC day drinkers. Located right on the beach in front of Bally’s is an excellent location for a bar. Daily specials like $ 3 miller or coors light bottles or $ 5 jack and cokes make this place a dream among the otherwise pricey offerings typically found in beach bars. The speacialty cocktails(tall vegas style drinks) go for $ 13 and are very hit or miss in terms of flavor, sweetness, and strength. You are best off asking your server for the best option according to your preferences. The food is overpriced for what you get. It all comes from Pickles Restaurant which sits up on the boardwalk. Basically they put in your order and a runner goes back and forth between the bar and restaurant with to-go boxes. You are better off walking up to Pickles and just ordering yourself We tried a salad and battered shrimp. The shrimp were okay. The salads were crap(rubbery chicken, soggy tortilla chips, and the cardboard taste of the to-go box didn’t help either). The fries that came with the shrimp were nicely seasoned but a little soggy. It is hard to get tables as people like to hang for a while but if you stand like a hawk you can swoop in and snag something when you see a group start to collect their things. There is a 90% chance your waitress will be smoking hot and in a bikini. Ours also happened to be very nice and not a stuck up b! tch(win). If you do want something nice to look at make sure you sit at a table because the +50 year old women and men actually working behind the bar might not do it for you. They also have two cornhole sets and live music so there is definitely something to do if you want a break from the hot sand. I don’t see why they don’t have a window facing the beach so that you can order your drinks right onto the beach. That would be so much better.
