Total dive bar. I have been here several times for drinks and wings. This is the kind of place where everyone has a good time. There is nothing fancy. You have people from all walks of life in here. People watching is half the fun. Everyone gets along and seems to leave their problems at the door. The bartenders are great at starting conversations and make you feel like you have been going there forever. Drinks are strong and not overly priced. The wings, well, they allegedly are the best wings in AC. Order them how you like. They come out quick and with a little paper bowl to put your bones in. The best part is they are only a bloc from The boardwalk and if that’s too far for you to walk, they have a parking lot.

Visited as some pretty hefty thunderstorms were rolling though the AC area. Terrie was our bartender and she was great! They are known for their wings in the area. Can’t say for sure if they are the best but they certainly were delicious. Prices were on the reasonable side for both food and drinks. They have a touchtunes jukebox for you to play all your favorites! I probably played an hour or so worth of bar favorite tunes that the locals and Terrie seemed to enjoy. Terrie like all kinds of music but just asks that you not play your favorite song over and over. Someone overplayed Work by Rhianna so there was an eject your song warning on the jukebox all in good fun.

I’m truly sad to say this but I will not be returning back to this bar for food. First let me do a big shout out to John the bartender he is awesome and knows his job !!! I never really got a chance to talk to the girls but for the most part they are kind. Anyway I ordered food about 4 times and was looking forward to many more because I was so shocked how much I loved the food just so good. but two days ago I ordered and the food was just sloppy and undercooked and two items were missing so I called and just gave tom a heads up and he seemed really concerned it seemed he cared to listen to what was wrong which was my whole order. I said what happened what’s going on I go from getting really bomb food, to getting uncooked backwards food. So Tom said he understands what I’m saying the cook is new. I said ok I can understand a little but a cook should know how to cook who trained him? I guess no one because a cook that can’t cook your basic is no cook. Did anyone show him the ropes? So Tom said that he would let the crew know about my fries and bread that were missing I basically told him don’t worry just let whomever know what happened so they can pick it up a little all constructive criticism i am never out to hurt all I want is GOOD food! Of course I go in and asked after the second incident if Tom talked to him and they knew nothing but I did not care at that point. but consisntasy seems to be a problem with a lot of places anymore. So last night I go in this time and see it’s the same cook I’m like shit ok maybe someone talked to him so I ordered got my food, all bagged like a two year old bagged it sause running all in the bag. I want from get perfect to slop. I check my food and I’m so upset because items are missing again. Long story short they gave me that meal for free I said I don’t want it for free I just want it right so they gave me it for free because they understood so I go home started to eat it again it was undercooked chips instead of fries chili was cold and I’m just like WTF and that was the end of my journey I took the food back because it wasn’t even worth free. And hopefully he got his stuff together but at this point it doesn’t matter after feeling like I’m wrong luckily John was a there to try and handle it because I was about to walk out even before they credited the food John tried his best. The girl at first was not understanding but checked herself and listened in all fairness I was shocked and upset so she probably did not understand me so she was cool though. So no matter what I will never go back because of that I hate being worried that my food will be messed up not just a bit a lot so even if they fixed it once you leave a bad taste in my mouth it’s two strikes and that’s it. But I’m truly sad about this because it is a cool place. You want a good down to earth bartender go see John.

Drove by this place while in Atlantic city and knew it was for me. Took some convincing to get my group of friends in there but boy were we glad we went! Great atmosphere! Food was off the hook! Service was A++!!! Our bartender John was awwwwwwesome! He took very good care of us– so we went back for dinner and drinks again on day 2 of our trip! Will definitely visit next time I’m in AC! Drinks and food are nicely priced! Can beat a great little dive :)

Was in Atlantic City for work recently and stumbled across this bar. Had a group of around 10 and being a smaller venue we were treated amazingly by not only the staff but the customers with accommodating our very upbeat group. John was our bartender and his personality is one of the reasons I pushed this revue to a full 5 stars, other servers were just as attentive to our needs, some of our group came back the next night just due to the great service and atmosphere. My one issue is the fact that the sandwich I ordered came out 20 minutes later than the rest of my groups food, but when I asked about it I had multiple staff apologize and it was delivered promptly after my complaint. For this being a smaller«dive» bar. The food was fantastic, if I could bottle the wing sauce I would have, excellent blend of spice and sweet without the high salt tongue burning content I see with most wing sauces.

Popped in here New Years Eve for a quick bite and drinks. Great local Atlantic City place. Nothing fancy about the place. Large bar with high top tables surrounding the bar. Big TVs all over. Great drink specials. $ 2.50 Miller Lite bottles and $ 1.00 chicken tenders(Ears as its called in this place) tossed in any of their sauces. Got the hot sauce and it was excellent. Spicy but nothing over the top. Had a sweetness to them along with the heat. Great flavor. They also take Total Rewards casino cards for point additions. Earned 55 points eating and drinking here. Only down draw was bartender was obnoxiously loud along with some local patrons. Yelling across the bar at each other. Unnecessary, but once that stopped, it was fine. Plenty of parking here too. Highly recommend if you want to try a real local Atlantic City place away from the casinos.

A quaint water hole with food that is not pice outrageous. The had drink specials, that are priced right & good. Staff was friendly & offered their opinions on what to order. I got bone in wings. They were crispy, flavorful & moidt. I was pleased with my choice & even more by my check. In a city of overpriced food, this was great! What’s a girl to do? Appreciate when you can get good food & drink without breaking the bank.

I’ve been here many times and always had great wings. By far the best in NJ that I’ve ever had! I just tried the Buffalo Roll and that was deep fried chicken goodness.

I decided to eat here since I have enjoyed the food here on other visits even though it wasn’t on my agenda today. Yes this girl is always on a mission when she knows where the good eats are. We started with one of my favorites here; which is the buffalo chicken egg rolls. Fried to a greaseless crispy perfection full of shredded chicken that comes with a tasty mild flavor buffalo sauce. I usually go for hot sauces but there is nothing but delicious flavor in there sauce no matter what temperature. Now on comes the wings which are served in whole wing form. So different than most and very crispy; what I find good in a wing. We ordered them mild and again the flavor of there sauce is outstanding. The would get 5 stars if the wings had a little more meet on them. Prices here are decent and the atmosphere is entertaining. Bartenders are nice but if you want something to eat you have to ask for a menu.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of this spot. It’s a dive, it’s true, but even so… I was expecting amazing wings and I got decent wings, subpar service and a charge for water. However, if you are on a mission to visit real solid dive bars, Pic-A-Lilli shouldn’t be missed. The boneless wings ordered very hot were hot, but lacked flavor. The wings literally just tasted like friedness battered in hot sauce. Does that make sense? The chicken was flavorless and I wouldn’t use juicy to describe the experience either. The celery and blue cheese was extra which again, between the charge for water and accoutrements and flat soda, I just felt nickel and dimed the whole time. Big parking lot is a plus and I’m hoping cheap beers/drinks, a bunch of flat screens makes this dive bar a solid spot if you’re trying to get off the strip in Atlantic City! Not my cup of tea, but it could be yours!

I was invited to Pic-A-Lilli. My response was, «I am not going to meet any of you at a place called Pic-A-Lilli. I was asked to check into Pic-A-Lilli. I decided that I was not going to tell anyone I had just walked into a place called Pic-A-Lilli. However, this is a dive bar. A really good one. On a Sunday morning, there was a sassy bartender. There were great wings. The chicken fingers are way better. They are worth the trip. Why four stars? Tap water was not free. That was different. Otherwise it was a great dive bar. Sketchy looking, off the boardwalk, little from the outside, decently sized inside, sassy bar keep, and good bar food. The only bad things were paying for water and of course, the sissy name.

I covered Shamong as part of my job a few years back and always passed by the Pic-A-Lilli out there, but never stopped in. It was nice to finally pay one of their locations a visit after Unilocal Winter Break III earlier this month. Four of us got to lunch early — eventually most of the wraparound bar was taken over by Unilocalers thanks to Amalia’s UYE — and we grabbed stools. I asked about beer options and the bartender listed off your usual Miller, Bud, Coors, and added that they don’t have crafts — throwing in beer-snob jokes since I guess/would assume I made faces at «Miller, Bud, Coors.» …I, obviously, stuck with the 50-cent cup of water. I had a crazy-cheap bacon cheeseburger, cooked medium, with a side of chips, for my meal. Really good! I hear that you’re supposed to get the wings here, but I had chicken’d myself out already that weekend and just couldn’t get myself to order any! I will, however, put Pic-A-Lilli on my to-return list for sure. What a great place.

Wait a minute, this isn’t a faux dive, this is a dive! The location may be sorta sketchy, but this place is worth a visit. Met up with a bunch of people here after two nights of partying. Not seeing taps, I asked what beers they had, and in a smokestained voice the veteran bartender told me «we don’t have none of that craft beer here». Undaunted, I got a pint of lager and ordered some wings. Kudos for bringing me enough bleu cheese, so many places skip and give you one little thimblefull. The wings themselves are advertised as the whole wing, which in this case apparently means getting the flat, and part of the drum. Not the whole shebang, tip and all like Moriarty’s in Philly. Still, they were good wings, decently meaty without feeling like they came from some KFC mutant. I got the«spicy» sauce, which was pretty excellent. It’s basically just a u shaped bar with a few tables around the perimeter. I went on a Sunday afternoon in march, so it wasn’t crowded, but I imagine during beach season it gets packed. Still, it’s a nice break from the absurd prices and overwrought décor you get from the casinos.

I love the fact that this place is within walking distance from the boardwalk and casinos. It is open 24hours which is great for the drunk crowds that need the grease to soak up that liquor. The U shaped bar is nice, it gets you to interact with your neighbors while seeing what’s around you as well. This place is known for wings so of course I ordered the 13 piece wings with the hot sauce and side of fries to try. The wings were small, barley any meat, and you only get half of the wings not the whole thing. You only get the piece that has the 2 bones inside without the tiny drumstick looking one, which I thought was very odd. Where the hell was the other half of my wings? Ughh. I can get over that but I couldn’t get over how bad the wings tasted. Wings were not crispy, unseasoned, and were drenched in hot sauce that I’m sure was either red hot or franks. At the bottom of my bowl, it looked like I ordered soup underneath my chicken, thats how much sauce was on these tasteless wings. I can eat and for me to only eat 4 of my wings is an utter shock! Service wasn’t good either. The bar tender/waitress wasn’t writing anything down for the entire bar which caused her to mess up on a few orders. She blamed it on the bar trying on a new system implementing table numbers. REALLY? you’ve been around for how many years and Now your starting table numbers? Wow, this place was unorganized, plus I got charged $ .99 for blue cheese that I never wanted and $ .50 for water. I wish them luck, but I won’t be returning.

I endorse these wings! The wings themselves are the full wing(the drummy & flat still attached together). The sauces have a sweetness to them but it is not too sweet and it is actually rather pleasant. We sampled the garlic parm and the hot both of which were excellent, crispy and not so spicy you can’t taste anythings. Everything was very reasonably priced as well so I would definitely keep this place on the radar when I am in AC again.

Pic-A-Lilli was an old favorite of my family’s for parties when they had a location in Medford back in the day. My mom would order party trays of «ears and tails» — boneless chicken slathered in the Pic’s addictive buffalo sauce. Sadly, that location closed and our family parties were never the same. When my brother went to college at Stockton, he reported his good fortune of coming across Pic-A-Lilli’s other location in nearby Shamong. I’ve had that bar bookmarked for years but have never made the trip. I never even knew that a Pic-A-Lilli outpost existed in AC until this past weekend, and I have Unilocaler Amalia Y to thank. The bar looks sketchy as hell from the outside(luckily, there’s a parking lot), but the inside is far less scary. A no-nonsense bartender took care of a very large group of people, most on individual checks, and everything ran pretty smoothly for the most part. It was wonderful to be reunited with the Pic’s ears and tails. My only regret is that we didn’t stick with our original order for«hot» sauce. The bartender warned that it was very hot, so we opted for medium and found that we would have preferred more spice. Next time! And there will definitely be a next time.

I can’t say we would classify this as a true dive bar from the inside but from the outside it sure as heck looks like it! We came on a Monday night and things were pretty slow as expected. I loved the Christmas decorations and lights that were up, including a happy decorated tree by the entrance. The inside felt warm and cozy and a good place to relax with a few beers. The beer prices are fair and the food was reasonably priced. A good alternative to the place across the street. They have a touch tunes juke box and a few video games. Also Kona Beer on tap which I absolutely love, so that was a happy surprise for me and a big plus! The bartender provided good service and was friendly. He reminded us that the bar is «King of the wings in AC» so we tried 6 medium spicy wings between 3 of us since we had already eaten. They were good, not great, but good. I would order them again. One thing to note is you get the whole wing– not drumstick and wing pieces like other places. Really happy we tried this place out and have found another good off the boardwalk & out of the casino bar.

So this place is pretty much the dive bar of dive bars, but I keep coming back when I’m in town. I grew up in South Jersey and moved out west two years ago but I seriously CRAVE a buffalo roll from the minute I leave this palce until I return again. It is out of this world! Basically cheese and chicken rolled into an egg roll and deep fried to perfection. Simple enough, right? But it is served with a sauce that is just OUT of this world delicious. It is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy and it goes perfectly with the savory chicken egg roll. I will keep returning here despite the atmosphere for this delicious treat! I have had their wings before as well and they are also amazing! The prices are fantastic for bar food but you do have to deal with some interesting characters both in and behind the bar. Some of the bar tenders/servers are a bit odd and sometimes make the experience un-enjoyable. I returned recently in May, however, and this was not the case. The bartender was younger, polite and easy going! This is always a go-to place for me when I’m home for a visit and I can’t wait to come back and get my hands on a buffalo roll. Try one!

Je visite régulièrement Atlantic City et à chaque je vais manger des ailes de poulet qui sont succulentes. Mes préférées sont les«Spicy» mais les«Hot» portent très bien leur nom.
