The food was unbelievable Loved tuna tower, steak tacos. And caesar salad. The steak was prepared exactly how I asked. Defiantly coming back. Ate at the bar and it was perfect. No reservations needed for that.

Great food, good happy hour deal, nice atmosphere and friendly attentive bartender(Tara?) Came here right after my unpleasant experience at Gordon Ramsey Grill & Pub so this was like a lifesaver. I’d go to this place again if im ever in the area. Check out their happy hour if you’re nearby

Spent $ 650 with tip for 4 which is fine if the meal is worth it. Service was slow and there were not a lot of people in the restaurant– should have been a clue to us. Cocktails were just ok and had to return my wine bc it was off. I asked for salmon rare was well done. Desserts were not great. Asked for soufflé half chocolate and grand marnier which any culinary student could do. They mixed them. Soufflé top was hard. Go to ramsays restaurant instead!

So I wanted to make my 300th Unilocal review very special, which is why I talked my mother into coming to this establishment. I went online and browsed the menu and looked at some pretty awesome reviews, so I thought I should definitely check this place out. Morton’s Steakhouse is an upscale restaurant located in Cesar’s hotel and casino. The inside décor is very sophisticated and romantic– a great place for special events or dates. It was a Tuesday night, around 8:30pm and we were seated right away. The hostess sat us down and gave us the wine menu which had a a great selection. There was a ton of variety and had many of popular wines customers are usually familiar with. The wine was a little pricey, however, it’s Morton’s, so easily this was expected. Within a few moments, our waitress came over with the dinner menu and asked if we decided on our wine, which we did not, and told her we needed more time. Within a 5 minute period, she came over two more times to see if we decided what we were going to drink. In my opinion, it was a little too much. The wine menu was pretty large and I wanted to take my time choosing a nice bottle for the evening. I felt rushed, so I just went with a familiar Kendal Jackson Merlot($ 65.00). Right after choosing our bottle, she then asked what we would be eating when my mother and I didn’t really have a chance to look at the menu. We needed more time, so she just went to get the bottle of wine. For an appetizer, we wound up ordering ½ dozen oysters and a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail had about 6 fresh jumbo shrimp, and it’s presentation was quite lovely. The oysters were also HUGE, however, the quality of the oysters did not meet my expectations at all. I was pretty disappointed. For dinner, we decided to split a 12oz medium-rare filet mignon with a foie gras butter sauce on top of it. The waitress asked if we wanted the butter sauce on top of the steak or on the side. We specifically stated we wanted it on top, however, it was still brought to us on the side. We also ordered two side dishes to split as well. The jumbo baked potato and the spinach mushroom dish. They brought us our potato, and a man came out offering us bacon, butter and sour cream to put on top of it. He wound up placing everything right on top in front of us which I thought was pretty nice. The baked potato was delish and perfectly cooked. The spinach and mushroom side dish was«okay.» Nothing to rave about. However, I must say the steak was one of the best steaks I have ever had. It was absolutely fantastic and I literally savored every single bite. The foie gras butter sauce was also simply out of this world. Our waitress was indeed very nice but throughout the meal, we felt extremely rushed and she failed to listen to specific requests. Another example would be when we asked her to also wrap up our leftovers to take them to go and this was never done. I don’t know why. We arrived at least two hours before their closing time, so in my eyes, there was no reason for it. For dessert, we decided to get the chocolate soufflé-from the outside, it looked good but unfortunately, it was pretty undercooked. Overall, for the prices your paying here, these are examples of what should not be happening in an establishment like this. It really is a nice place, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. I would be open to trying it again in the future and trying different menu items to see if the service and some of the food is better than this past experience. In regards to the three star rating, I thought the décor steak, butter sauce and potato is easily 5 stars. The service and the rushed meal unfortunately is only 1 ½ stars in my eyes. Other food items were only 3 star worthy.

Wow. I thought the Seattle Mortons was the best. Atlantic City is just as good. Tran the bartender could not have done anything to improve our meal. He was wonderful. Wish he would multiply and work all restaurants. It is too bad everyone can not experience this terrific restaurant. Suggest you go whenever in the area. Locals, go here for your special occasions. The hand made potatoes chips are superior. The french fries the best. The steak sandwiches and crab cakes could not be better. And don’t forget to order the souffes(not the creepy frozen ones some restaurants serve, but the great hot ones).

This is the second time I went to Morton’s. The food is absolutely delicious. The waiter patiently answered all our questions and helped us picked the right steak. I definitely think the steaks got smaller from last time. So, that’s disappointing. And even though they wrote«happy birthday» on the menu, they didn’t take a picture of us at the end. I was disappointed. I completely forgot until we got back to our hotel. I’ll still go back though lol

Came here last night being that it was our last night in Atlantic City and we wanted to celebrate our anniversary with some good food and we got just that! Our waiter nick was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcomed. The ribeye that I ordered was so moist and delectable! And the macaroni and cheese hands down was the best macaroni and cheese I have ever had in my life at any restaurant. We shall be coming back whenever we find ourselves in Atlantic City again.

Very expensive, nothing under 50 $ and in all honesty i have had better food and much cheaper. If you are going for an experience, its good place but really expensive. They do not even give a full entrée

A friend of mine had a reservation for 15 people at 9pm. It was for a surprise 40th birthday party. We got in and told us to make our selves at home at the bar, our table was almost ready. It was probably 9:05pm and we wondered was taking so long. We decided to give it 10 more minutes. Still nothing. I think it was close to 9:30pm and I finally went to the hostess stand to ask what was going on. There seemed to be a bit confusion, because she was trying to make small talk with me, while waiting for the other hostess to find out what was going on. Overall, service and food was delicious. They even brought out a sundae for the birthday boy. Just starting the night seemed to be a bit of a challenge.

Large portions. Expensive but it’s an experience and you only do it every so often. The salad was an entrée in itself(lacks protein though). The steak was cooked perfectly. Bacon wrapped scallops were great. Potatoes au gratin were on point. Shrimp was not good… tough in texture and not good in flavor. The shrimp weren’t seasoned well and tasted too charred. Key lime pie was a little too dense and not tart enough but decent. If I had room for dessert and didn’t take it to go, I’d definitely had gotten the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Overall a great meal minus the shrimp.

— — — — — — –RESTAURANTWEEK2016 — — — — — — – Why hello folks, I’m trying to get this review out as soon as I could since there is still a couple days left of restaurant week and I thought this may be helpful. First off these are the options that me and my significant other have chosen. For me: Onion Soup, Double-Cut Prime Pork Chop, Double Chocolate Mousse For him: Caesar Salad, 6oz Filet Mignon(Extra $ 10 you can get the 8oz), Key Lime Pie The Onion Soup was fantastic, it was well seasoned and I personally believe is probably the best choice out of the 3 you get to chose for Restaurant Week. I’m not going to even talk about the Caesar Salad since I’m sure you’ve had it at many other restaurants before and it tastes all about the same. We also ordered an additional appetizer which was the Lobster Cocktail for $ 23-ish, personally as delicious as it was, the portion size was ridiculous in my opinion. You get maybe 3 bites for 2 people and it’s gone. If you have money to spend and you like to dine fancy then this maybe a good option for you, but personally a little more would be nice. Now onto the entrees! The Filet Mignon was delicious, as to be expected from a steakhouse, but it’s VERY small, so if you have a large appetite it may not be for you, but otherwise it was cooked to perfection. You get to choose between Sour Cream Mash Potatoes, Broccoli and Creamed Corn. The Mash potatoes was a great compliment to the Filet Mignon and had a very delicate touch to them. The Broccoli, which I chose to go along with my Pork Chops, was great as well. The touch of what seemed to be garlic and butter, was a nice additional flavor to the steamed broccoli. The Pork Chop itself was nice, but it was a lot more drying then the Filet Mignon BUT a lot larger in portion! You get 2 decently sized pork chops in your entrée. But you absolutely need to eat this semi fast only because I felt like it got drier as time went on during our meal. The desserts were fantastic, I don’t think you can go wrong with either choice. It’s a very good size for both and I loved them. Now to the service. The service was great, our server Robert was very sociable and kept us entertained throughout our meal. They were extremely attentive and our drinks were always replenished without asking. I took note of management and how they walked around the entire restaurant checking up with their customers, which I thought was a great gesture and shows how attentive they are to their customers. TIP: For FREEPARKING you must spend over $ 75, which if you think about it…$ 33.16 per person and maybe another small appetizer will already guarantee you that.

Here is one of the best steak restaurant for lamb lovers like me. I’ve got lamb chops as main and it was amazing but only problem was side dish. They don’t have a lot of options for it but i think they should have. By the way before you leave, don’t forget to try their desserts, they are yummy…

The wife and I love this location of Morton’s. We have eaten here numerous times(along with the Long Island location). It’s always a great experience! We went off the reservation of our usual wedge salad and/or sliced tomato, and tried a prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and lobster stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. The mozzarella was terrific — but we thought they missed on the mushrooms. The lobster really didn’t shine, and seemed fishy. Guess it was previously frozen. Steak-wise, we get the same cuts every time. Filet for her, bone-in ribeye for me. Always top notch and cooked to our liking. Nice big baked potato with butter and bacon completed the meal I loved and would avoid before s cholesterol test! Last, but not least, the Mrs. had her usual warm chocolate cake dessert. It’s pricey, and the wine list will set you back as well, but the food and service just rocks. We’re regulars

3.5**** I don’t have complaints about anything, but everything was good but on the mediocre side to me. Enjoyable meal, but not nearly the best steak or anything. Great service here in AC and they even take a picture and give it to you for your anniversary or birthday. I had a filet with some shrimp and my bf had the ribeye with lump crab meat. His was more flavorful than mine. Apps and sides were pretty good, and dessert was pretty good too, but nothing took my breath away.

Awesomeness! The food is to die for here along with the very quiet and quaint atmosphere. We had the Cajun Ribeye steaks with side of a shrimp cocktail(huge) that came out on dry ice and was smoking Also had two sides of horseradish mashed yum yum yum. Red wine was on point and service was great as well. Can’t wait to go back.

Came in for our 3rd Anniversary, and they did not disappoint! My Chicago prime bone in rib eye was cooked to medium rare perfection, and her filet was melt in your mouth amazing. For desert we ordered the Soufflé with our entrée, because of the time required to cook it. Sure enough, as soon as dinner was done the Soufflé came out to delicious perfection. They also went above and beyond with service. They took a photo of us for the occasion, and gave it to us in a card which the entire staff signed! I really can’t say enough good things about them. We were disappointed that American Cut left AC, but so happy to have found this even better replacement!

Got to return to Morton’s for anniversary dinner. It was no surprise that the meal was impeccable. Morton’s stands strong as my number one favorite steakhouse. The food is quality, the service matches and the experience overall is one to remember. Tonight I had the Caesar salad which was delicious and enough to feed two people. The bread that comes to the table is fresh baked onion loaf, but it is hard to not spoil your dinner based on bread and salad alone . Filet mignon was perfectly cooked, tender and brought tears to my eyes. The sides we had were twice baked au gratin potatoes and green beans. I was sad we were at a hotel so couldn’t pack leftovers because it was so much. For dessert, you MUST order the hot chocolate cake. Someone on here said it was something she could get from papa johns… really not sure what that is about. The cake is warm, melts in your mouth and is served with ice cream. Great wine selection. The servers knew we were celebrating an anniversary, so they printed us out a keepsake menu and took our photo. Nice touches to keep us coming back.

Premium! At this price point I expect premium cuisine, atmosphere and service. On a recent weekend evening my expectations were beautifully met! Cuisine– A word about portions. Unless you want a doggie bag that would feed a family of five for a month, you need to dial it back. In some restaurants, a typical meal might be an appetizer, salad, steak, two sides and a desert. Keep in mind that you are also going to receive a giant loaf of crusty warm bread. No normal single person could finish this here. Sharing is the order of the day. On my most recent visit the Cajun Ribeye Steak along with Sauteed Spinach & Button Mushrooms and Horseradish Mashed Potatoes was enough to stuff me to the gills. The gorgeous steak wasn’t five stars, it was ten stars! It was plated beautifully, seared to perfection and cooked exactly to order. If you like Cajun spices, they were exactly on point. With every bite incredible flavors exploded in my mouth. This was a steak that carnivores dream about. The sides were perfect accompaniments. The just slightly tart taste of the spinach and the heat from the horseradish in the potatoes were heaven in my mouth. This was a roll your eyes and moan kind of meal. Service– The world is full of waiters and waitresses and then there are the professionals. The folks here turn serving customers into an art form. As soon as you just begin to think about a need they magically appear to fulfill it. It is customer service at its very best. This is not just an exceptional meal but an exceptional experience and highly recommended if you are in the AC area.

Morton’s is my favorite place in Atlantic City for a steak dinner. Love it for a date night, special occasion, or «I could really go for steak» kind of night. Every visit here, the food is delectable and perfectly prepared. The salads are HUGE — definitely big enough to share if you so choose. The chopped salad is one of the best parts of the meal for me: chopped iceberg and romaine, cucumber, avocado, chopped egg, onion, tomato and dijon vinaigrette. I order it without bacon, because I prefer not to have smokiness interrupting those smooth, beautiful flavors. The caesar salad is great, too. Prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella and lobster bisque are among the best appetizers I’ve tried. Filet mignon with lobster is to die for. My boyfriend gets the filet Oscar style with jumbo lump crabmeat — which can only be described as heavenly. Sides are large portions as well, with enough to share and have some left over. We have tried every variation of potatoes on the menu and both like the au gratin potatoes the best. Green vegetable of choice is creamed spinach or grilled asparagus… but let’s be honest, there is no true desire for green vegetables with such a luscious steak on your plate. My one qualm with Morton’s is the service, which is usually lacking. The servers are trained very well with the menu but are not the most helpful or attentive. UPDATE: HOWDID I FORGETDESSERT?! ***ATTENTION*** Do not leave Morton’s without trying the hot ‘molten chocolate’ cake! Served with vanilla ice cream and fresh raspberries, the perfect combination. No matter how stuffed you are, make room for a couple bites of this chocolate indulgence.
