I have been to Hop Jacks several times over the past few months. And, I have enjoyed it every time! The staff is great and attentive, and the food is delicious. Fun to run to with some friends.

Best of the big restaurants in the Lakeland area hands down. We have been SO disappointed since moving to the community and trying Puerto Vallarta(YUCK) the Rock(hit or miss. The last visit was the slowest of all time.) last night we decided to try out this, and were so pleasantly surprised! We came in with our toddler during the Happy Hour/Friday night rush. We were seated right away, and although the place was packed, the service was outstanding. We were checked on throughout our time there, our food came out quickly and hot, with flavor!(I can’t say this much about the other places we’ve tried in this area). We will definitely be back! The bar was packed and looked fun too. Thanks for making our visit a great one!

Great service, delicious sandwich, the mozzo sticks are made in house and perfectly cooked. Marinara could use some Spice, but that’s a personal preference. Food came out fast during lunch rush, and didn’t leave anything on the plate. Pricing is on point with the service and quality and a great place for business hurry lunches.

I’ve been here a few times and this was probably the best service we have had! Super fast and friendly service thank you!

Love their ice cold cocktails, and they have the beat burgers — protein style. Always great service.

Always good food, good staff/service! I Had something light, French onion soup & a grilled basil/cheese sandwich. Was good. Soup was to temp, just right. If you like French onion soup, this is it. Just about the same as I make it, but hey why take the time to make it when Hop Jacks is a mile away? The sandwich reminded me of toasted bruschetta. Very good. Server was attentive! Thanks Dolly! We have been at both locations, Bonney Lake and this one here in Lake Tapps, good food. Thanks! Oh almost forgot, Bloody Mary is yum.

I normally come here and the service is great, but today was my birthday I went here and our«waitress» Lindsey barely was over at our table I was there since 5:50pm till 11pm waited for our tables to be done by 7:15 and got five drinks total and it took like a good 40 min to even have her give one drink at a time and couldn’t even get an order because she was hardly over there. First of all her«judgement» was completely off I invited people to my birthday event and was excited and have not seen them for a good five years she thought I had«too much to drink» after 2 drinks in which was like almost two hours I drank both and she was refusing to give me more after that on top of all of this she had an attitude and was extremely bitchy, I will not be returning to your location at all. And part of my party did not leave a tip well now she knows why. Tell your server to get herself in check and to stop being a snobby bitch and having Poor judgement. I’m 24 years old I don’t need some rude ass waitress telling me 5 drinks in a five hour period is enough. Very unpleased with my service and visit. Get your waitress in check. spreading the word after tonight!

This place is fantastic. Our server was charming and helpful, the lemonade was rocking good and the kid’s meals were on point. I’ve had the special mac and cheese and it was perfect. This place hits all the right beats for me, no long wait, great for kids, reasonable price and great food!

Great drinks, great food, great service. So glad this place is just down the street. Love the edamame and fried zucchini. All the salads are great as well.

This place is super low-quality. The wings are soggy(the boneless wings are slices of chicken… not in wing form at all), the chicken is tough and tastes sweaty. The BBQ quesadilla is ok… but you could make a better one at home for half the price. Save your money and order pizza.

Finally got to try this place! Took the back roads home to avoid traffic and ended up driving by so we decided to stop for dinner. Probably not the best idea considering it was crazy packed due to power outages in the area. David(manager of another store) provides excellent customer service! Despite it being a mad house he was patient with our questions as well as getting us our drinks and taken care of in timely manner. Our server Sarah was sweet too but we didn’t see much of her. Fish & Chips– Delicious! The batter was very flavorful and perfectly crisp. The fish itself had great flavor and texture. I would definitely order this again. Jalepeno Burger w/Pineapple– BF ordered this and he liked it. I had a bite and thought it was pretty good. Lemonade– Pineapple was soooo good. The blueberry was okay. A little to sweet for my liking but delicious none the less. Long Island Iced Teas are amazing! BF tried 2 flavors, the grapefruit(eh ok) and mango( ). He wants to come back to try the other flavors. Lol. I don’t blame him. They were pretty tasty. Donuts– Served in a paper bag. They were good but not memorable. Overall I will be back! There are a few items on the menu that I would love to try! :)

Food is consistently good, but what stands out to me is the service. I was here last week and the waiter was so friendly and kind(I wish I would have written down his name). Great service is hard to come by these days and the whole team delivered. I was here for dinner with family around 5:30 and was happy to see that happy hour was still going even on a Saturday in the normal dining area. I had the fish tacos and my husband had french onion soup with tater tots. Both were good and filling. We were leaving and my nephew(he’s 3) accidentally dropped the leftover box with his chicken strips and a few flatbread pieces. He started crying, so I went to give him a hug and then clean up the mess. The staff was so kind and quickly cleaned it up, not letting me help and insisted they get my nephew new chicken strips to go. Their customer service surprised me and definitely made a difference that day.

I come here about once a week for drinks with a friend. Most of the servers are excellent. There are a couple that are not as friendly but nothing terrible. The drinks are typically good, however not consistent between bartenders. Overall it’s a great atmosphere with good food and service. We have gone to The Rock instead a couple of times but much prefer to go here. My family has also done takeout from here a few times. The food is great if they can get the order right. I don’t know if it’s the people answering the phones or the cooks that are getting things mixed up. Haven’t done that for awhile now because we just don’t know what we are gonna get.

If I never came here I would have never known how good this place is!!! First of all, get their lemonade. They have 8 different flavored and it is bottomless, so if you are really thirsty you can try all 8 :) and it comes in a huge tall glass. Next, the service is good, our service was so friendly and helpful and nice! We got the guacamole burger, chipotle chicken flatbread, the jalapeño burger, and the nachos. Everything came fast and was delicious! I really enjoyed this place and the best part is the prices are good too. I’m really going to be coming back for the lemonade, it’s so good!!!

Hop Jack’s apparently these guys are people who harvested hops so they’re like lumberjacks only for hops… somehow that sounds less manly but whatever. Hop Jacks reminds me of what you would expect from a Chili’s, Applebees, Fridays, etc. I ordered their award winning peanut butter and bacon burger. It sounded disturbing enough that I just had to try it. Essentially it’s your standard cheeseburger and it is liberally slathered with peanut butter/mayo concoction. Although it does sound pretty gross, I was surprised that it was actually quite tasty and the mayo to peanut butter ratio was much higher on the peanut butter side. The tater tots were awesome and I’m sure this would be a decent place to get a beer after work and some food.

Went to Hop jacks and read the reviews before hand. I went for lunch. I had the regular cheeseburger, tots and my friend had a turkey sandwich. The burger was nice size, good grill, good taste, fresh veg, good cheese melt, tots were a little like they had been sitting for a bit but they were still good and hot. My friends turkey bacon sandwich had about an arm of turkey on it. It was huge. Bacon all coming out the sides. Looked really good as well. She said it was good. I would go back here. It was overall good. A little pricey at $ 30 for a burger and a sandwich but not bad.

We wanted to try something new and so we decided to try Hop Jacks’ since the reviews were pretty good. After spending our dinner time at the location — I can only think there isn’t any choices in Lake Tapps if this is a 4 star restaurant. First — the restaurant was not crowded — and we get seated in this«cubby hole» booth all by itself — against the wall in the back. If there was just the two of us — it could have been romantic but with a teenager along with us — we were crowded. I joked and asked if they were trying to hid us and a few other lines like that which went right over the waitress head — finally my wife just asked if there was another booth available and we were moved. This is the same waitress that filled the two female water glasses up — twice — while leaving mine empty and giving the girls the bill — not putting it in the center. The best part was when I mentioned the water situation as I received the bill — you might think she would apologize and perhaps fill my glass up then — well you would be wrong. Is it just me or all men :) The same waitress when she asked about dessert we said we would like to consider it –came back a few minutes later — asked if we decided — at which point my wife said we had no way of knowing what they had for dessert — and she replied Oh, I guess you need menus — you think.? I guess the job pool has ran out in Lake Tapps. Our teenager(16 years old) ordered the Mac and cheese 410 bland. She said it was bland and we tasted it and all agreed — no taste to it at all.(really — bland for $ 10.25) My wife and I split the tomato Basel sandwich and at best I would give it an ok — also not cheap at $ 9.95. You could not taste the tomato and there was hardly anything on it(for the price it could have been a lot better) The Oriental Chicken salad was good — but $ 10.75 for a regular. In summary — pricey fast food — better off going to Wendy’s for Oriental Chicken salad — just as good. If you want the restaurant effect Applebee’s is much better and they have been the«neighborhood eating place» a lot longer — they even took the Applebee’s slogan.

Whenever I feel like Jacking hops or hopping Jack, I head up to my friendly neighborhood Hop Jack’s. I was excited to try this place and for good reason– it’s great! They have a good selection of beers, including rotating taps. The happy hour specials are decent as well. I think it was $ 4.25 for a pint of craft beer during the 2−6pm happy hour. They also have THEDEATH. IRISHDEATH. That beer just puts you on your ass and any place that has it is good in my book. The food is pretty good too. The menu is kinda strange… It’s like burgers, mac & cheese, and a couple of soups and salads. It isn’t very extensive. They have a steak and a couple of sandwiches but all in all it’s good. The donuts are damn good though. You gotta get some at least once if you eat here. I love having this place up the hill from me! It’s the best!

Hop Jack’s is a chain however I much prefer it over the likes of Applebee’s, TGIFriday’s or Red Robin(not like I frequent them that often anyway). Just about five drop-ins so far since they opened: Drop in #1: Grand opening period — Happy Hour test. Fish tacos, tempura shrimp, buffalo wing flatbread. Average pricing, no complaints and overall an okay visit. #2: Chicken soup, meatloaf with onion n taters. Chicken soup was not hot so sent that back and they gave a new, piping hot one that boo really liked. My meatloaf, with the optional onions tasted a bit too sweet. Love the taters as I used to go to Sonic’s all the time as a kid to buy that with the foot long chili cheese dogs! Can’t ever go wrong with taters! #3 9:15pm. Need food late but don’t want McD’s or Rock Pizza so figured I revisit the meatloaf again with no onions on top. **BINGO, ding ding ding!!*** Meatloaf n taters now my «go to». I am tempted for the meatloaf burger now as I heard that’s just as good. #4 Lunch time — discovered something NEW(new to me that is): Refreshingly chilled brews! Cold, frosty glass to keep the beverage at the right temperatures throughout the meal. Major bonus points for truly THECOLDESTBEERINTOWN! #5 Late night munchies. Beer, soup, meatloaf plus dessert! The mushroom topping on the meatloaf is a better choice and doesn’t add too much of the sweetness the caramelized onions do. They have amazing mini doughnuts fried fresh and handed to you in a brown paper bag. Shake ‘em in the bag to coat them buggers with the cinnamon and pop ‘em in your mouth! Happy Hour times: 2−6pm, 9pm to close. Open late: 11−11pm Sun-Thurs, midnight close on Fri/Sat ________________________________ Mental notes: get beer, meatloaf, and doughnuts. =)
