Slightly below average chinese buffet. Food is decent but some items lacked a little flavor. Our waitress was really nice and kept up with filling our drinks. Not bad for the price but could be better.

Not worth the money. Worst Chinese food. There is nothing on the buffet… everything was empty, and what was there was cold. I won’t be back.

This Chinese restaurant is pretty good. I like their food and the place is very clean. The flavor is a little different here than some of the other places I’ve eaten. The seasoning is not as strong as some of the others. I like the ribs and I am a fan of most General Tso or Tao pronounced(Chow) Chicken. Pork or shrimp fried rice is good here. I am normally pleased with the lunch buffet. It doesn’t have as many choices as some of the others but I like many of the selections they’ve edited to to provide a well-rounded buffet which includes fresh California Rolls and other Sushi selections. I like that it is much quieter than others and I notice many Asian families dine here. They have 2 flat screens which are nice and they play the same thing on each! I love the bubble tea.

I’ll make it short and sweet. I am 68 years old and though the years have probably eaten at hundreds of Chinese buffets. This my friends ranks as one of the worse!

Buffet had little to chose from compared to other chinese buffets in the surrounding area. The food was not very good either, the food in the augusta mall is better than here. The restaurant didnt seem like it could keep up with making sure the buffet was constantly stocked. Service was good and seating was comfortable. Overall won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend to friends or family.

The service was great. Very hospitable, greeted me warmly when I walked in and my takeout was ready quickly. I ordered the Almond Chicken combo with shrimp fried rice and a spring roll. Despite being hot, the rice did not taste fresh. The shrimp were tiny, salad shrimp — not even popcorn shrimp size. The gravy on the chicken was tasty but the chicken was tough and even though I asked if it was and was told it was breast meat, it appeared to be either a mix or processed chicken. Bottom line — awesome service but the food leaves much to be desired.

Hands down the best chinese food in augusta! Everything on the menu is on point, especially the wings and fried rice!

They have the best chinese food in augusta. They actually put eggs veggies and meat in their fried rice. Price isn’t bad but you get what you pay for

The cost of the buffet with a drink will cost you about $ 9.50 and its not worth it. Yikes. Let me say that again. YIKES! It looks like they do a fair amount of take out but I stopped in quick to catch a bite and the buffet was bad. The booths are well worn and lumpy. The things that were obviously dried out from sitting under the heat lamp too long(you know so over cooked that the noodles have gone back dry and are now a permanent fixture at the bottom of the food tray) I stayed away from but the things I tried were covered in super sweet, gloopy, very salty sauces. I had one plate and it was more than enough. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the waitress there was very nice and engaging. But I must say if you want a Chinese buffet you need to head somewhere else.

Love the food here, I like to order off the menu rather than eat at the buffett bar, not that there is anything wrong with it, I just like to take any left overs home for an extra meal. :-)

This was probably the worst Chinese food my family has ever had. First time leaving a Chinese restaurant hungry and without leftovers. The diet coke was good though…

I hadn’t been to New Ming Wah in years. Of all the times I came, I was satisfied with what I ordered. Since Ming Wah on Baker Ave had closed(which was the chinese restaurant I frequented most) my brother and I decided to try them out again since we were wanting some Chinese food. They were busy, alot of people were coming in and picking up orders that they had placed earlier. The wait staff was friendly, sat us, and quickly filled our drink order. The menu had several selections, some which were our favorites. I ended up choosing the Almond Chicken with Pork fried rice and an egg roll and my brother ordered the Chicken and Broccoli with Pork fried rice and an egg roll too. We also order some marinated chicken wings. We couldn’t dine here with having them. They have always been our favorite!!! The chicken wings came out first and they were delicious. The tasted just like the ones from the Original Ming Wah. The wait for the entrees was a little long but nevertheless they arrived. The Almond Chicken was acceptable but not as good as Ming Wah’s, and the Chicken and Broccoli was flavorful. The broccoli was crunchy and not soggy and overcooked. The fried rice was nice but could have been a tad bit more brown. All in all, I was still satisfied in what I had and I will be dining here again.

Fantastic Chinese food. You can tell their crab rangoon was made by hand since they weren’t all the same shape and didn’t look the same as every other Chinese fast food place’s. Their Cantonese fried rice was excellent and portions were ample.

This place is a gem! The prices are good and the food even better. I hope more people will give it a try and write reviews. Highlights — The crab rangoon’s are handmade, not the normal frozen kind with too much batter. The pork fried rice is tasty, get it as your rice choice! Quick service, been there twice recently and had a great time/meal both times!

We lived in Augusta 25 years ago, and Ming Wah was the gold standard for great Chinese food. New Ming Wah, a «spin off» opened a few years after we left, and used to be just as good. However, on our recent visit back to Augusta, we found the food had really gone downhill, and not nearly as good as it used to be. We’ll try the original Ming Wah on our next visit.
