I heard about Amy’s from a friend that use to live in Austin. She said I must hit them up while there a few days. Well it never happen, but as luck would have there was one at the Austin airport. Located in the American terminal food court is an Amy’s walk up. There are tables and chairs that serve them and other. The area was clean and all of the tables were tidy. I walked up to only a few in line. The board has there unusual names of ice-creams. The young woman was over the top sweet and offered suggestions and samples too. I decided that a shake would really hit the spot. So I ordered a Dark & Belgian Chocolate. There were a few employees behind the counter. But the man who was doing the mix in’s on the slab and even tossing the cups behind his back was the most impressive. It did not take long at all to get my shake out to me. Check out was smooth. I could not wait to force a straw into the top and try this bad boy. It was indeed what my friend had said, really yum! Amy’s is an Austin chain, so check them out around town and you wont be disappointed.

Amy might make the ice cream(and it’s delicious) but Michael will make your day ;) Super friendly and fun! I suspect I’ll be back for more! I ate it so fast I forgot about taking a pic — lol — but I had the coconut sorbet. I’ve been here in the past and they are always fast, friendly, entertaining and have great flavors! Thanks all!

Few things can make being at an airport actually bearable and Amy’s gets that designation to the tenth degree! Their ice cream is unlike I’ve ever had anywhere else in my travels and I highly recommend treating yourself while visiting Austin. They have a ton of unique and traditional flavors and toppings, served with a smile. It’s all really delicious without tasting artificial and ordinary like the stuff you would buy at the store or get elsewhere. Is your mouth watering yet? Just do it!

Had the belgian chocolate and dark chocolate. They tasted just amazing. Neither too strong with the cocoa nor too sweet. Just right! Enjoyed it completely :) :)

The guy at the counter was super funny and nice. Check out my video of his cone skills! Service: 5⁄5 Food: 5⁄5 I was choosing which taster to ask for and I said«I don’t want to be that person who tastes everything.» The guy at the counter said«you’re not that person, you’re A person.» Then he gave me 3 tasters :) While I was ordering he waved at the guy who had just gotten/started eating his and asked«Is it good?» After purchasing he said«The napkins are right behind you» while pointing. I know it’s a small detail but all in all he makes the customer feel cared for. I got the blueberry crunch and it was delicious. I’d say it was little price-y but it’s in an airport(always overpriced) and it’s definitely better than other chains like BR or B&J.
