Terrible service, very unfriendly! The first store told me their blender was broken so they were unable to make frappés, after I stood in line for quite some time. Then they told me the other store had them. I went and stood in that line for another 5 min to be told their blender was broken. I ordered a mocha cappuccino instead for $ 6. 65. It’s was terrible and it began to curdle after cooling off a bit and had to be thrown away! Don’t waste your money! I enjoy the coffee in the Jiffy Lube waiting area more than this place! Would have given it zero stars but it wasn’t an option.

Place is a rip off. We got two iced coffees. Way too expensive and the coffee was just average. Unfortunately they have a monopoly at the airport.

HORRIBLE customer service. The barista Priscilla was extremely rude, and short tempered. I understand that airports can be busy, hectic and stressful but she should not be working in customer service if she can’t be nice. I won’t be buying coffee from here ever again. Also, it’s more expensive than Starbucks and their large is the size of a tall.

Rude, Rude, Rude… sloooowly made our hot tea then got our pastries out of the bakery case. Chamonique forgot to get one muffin and when she was politely asked she said we didn’t order it. When we showed her the receipt she called me a smart a**. Really?!

Its decent airport coffee when there isn’t a starbucks around. Not a lot of options to choose from(i.e. either you have black coffee, or a latte, or a tea).

Latte tasted like the beans were ground and sat around for awhile(stale?). Very bland and dull taste; no fruit or tangy overtures. Maybe someone could be into that, but not me. Barista was nice at least.

I’m a sucker for anything cream cheese so I went for the cheese croissant. It was $ 2.49 which is pricey for the size. You couldn’t really taste the cream cheese either. I wouldn’t get it again. I also got a hot earl grey tea and a bottle of water which is hard to mess up. I would order a hot tea again. It was $ 10 and change for these 3 things… Meh.

In my experience today, Austin Java at the airport was excellent. Went at approx 5am for an iced latte; greeted by very nice staff and my drink was perfect — not sweet and full flavores espresso. Seriously has to be the best iced latte i’ve had EVER.

Terribly slow service & mediocre /weak coffee I suggest skipping them! The locations in the city are far better with great coffee and yummy food. I like the location off Barton Springs.

I paid 6.59 for a small thing of Tropicana orange juice! Asked for a refund and they said it should go back on my card. I checked my bank acct and it never was refunded. The receipt said change 2.80 so I figure they would give me cash back but they said no. I had to wait til it went back on the card. It NEVER went back. I even explained that the receipt specifically says change. No where does it says REFUND back on card. Kidding have time to argue anymore being that I had my hands full and my son with me. I had to select one star because it was required! avoid this Java if possible!

Not amazing service but when given this or the Starbucks line I’ll gladly chose here. Coffee is pretty good but most important for and airport, it’s fast. Coffee plain and simple that gives you enough time to make your flight.

The batista was sneezing into her arm, wiping her nose with her hand, then continuing to slice bagels without gloves. I ordered a café au lait — they have me a cup of steamed milk and told me the coffee is around the corner. Yikes. Never again!

Great coffee and nice alternative to Starbucks. When I couldn’t find a Starbucks in the airport, I gave Austin Java a shot. The line was no longer than I would expect on a busy Friday morning, maybe 8 people long, but I got to the front quickly. Guy behind me mentioned that they did indeed have good coffee and that they are a native Austin coffee shop. Bonus, I like trying local! They didn’t have any iced coffee but offered me an alternative which I thoroughly enjoyed. Decaf Iced Americano with Caramel and a splash of skim. Don’t want to be buzzing on my flight home, would rather relax, and they got me what I was craving. Actually, going to try the iced Americano when I get back home, as it was better than the iced coffee. Give this place a shot. Besides, there’s no Starbucks at the Austin airport.

Under most circumstances, I love Austin Java, like to support local businesses. That said, the service at the ABIA location is terrible. Particularly in busy Monday mornings. They are super slow and not friendly. Get your coffee at home.

Austin Java is possibly the single worst coffee stand in any airport in North America. Their employees are listless and slow; their morning crew — a team which should be hustling to get things done, as airports in the morning are filled with rushed people trying to grab a coffee before their flight — are the single slowest, laziest group of coffee shop employees I’ve ever witnessed. Austin Java amazingly had no breakfast options — just pre packaged BS airport sandwiches. Also — and this is the worst part — after you wait in line for 30 minutes — they don’t even pour your coffee. You get an empty cup, and have to walk over to the coffee dispensers, which are typically empty. Please, Austin International Airport — PLEASE — don’t renew Austin Java’s lease. Please bring in ANY coffee shop to replace these bozos — Starbucks, Pete’s — whatever.

The morning crew here wasn’t very pleasant. The cash register person lacked all people skills necessary to perform her job. The professionalism was that of someone working a cash register at popeye’s on Tuesday night. Then I saw another worker practically ignore a flight attendant who was asking a question. Then the worker was also very bothered sounding in her response. It’s a real shame that the staff here lacks skill because the actual facility is really cool. To reduce the line, there’s a self serve drip coffee. You just place two dollars in the jar and go away with your drink. There’s no staff interaction and maybe that’s the way to go.

As far as I can tell no café in the domestic terminal has a legitimate espresso machine. This place is on par with gas station coffee. I really hate when airports have their own locally spun coffee. Just have one Starbucks, please.

Horrible. I have a simple request when I come to the airport… iced coffee black. I ask, is it possible to have a lemonade stand without lemonade? Why, why… is Austin Java always OUT! I never thought I would say this, because I believe in local business, but Starbucks… Where are you?! PS. Austin Java’s hot coffee is not very good either.

All my out-of-town friends have been to Austin Java. I went to the airport location for my first visit and just got the self-serve coffee for $ 2. You can just self-pay by dropping in two dollars into the little box at the stand instead of standing in the slow-moving checkout line. At 6 pm on a Friday, most of the coffee dispensers were empty. I got the only coffee that was available – some Mexican blend. There were plenty of coffee condiments still available. The cashier was friendly. Austin Java Airport is located really close to the security gate.
