I stopped in for something to drink at the start of a walk. No lemon herbal tea bags, charge exorbitant amount for plain ice water, and the sweet tea tasted like a heavy sweet tea concentrate syrup over ice. NOT a good experience, and I was trying to show off the Domain to an infrequent visitor.

I’ve never been here before but I was craving a drink after some shopping. A smoothie sounded good on this hot, humid day so I ordered a mixed berry smoothie. Yuck! It was sickeningly sweet and tasted like artificial berry candy. After sitting in my cup holder for 10 minutes it’s completely separated and looks very unappealing. I’ll stick to Starbucks or elsewhere.

Came here with a friend and I don’t even drink coffee. HAHA. None the less I like this location, the staff is super friendly and outgoing. It’s a much more personalized service than other said coffee shops. They have great drink options with some rotating ones as well. I feel that there is much more attention to detail here. The shop is super clean and nice as well. With a nice little bar view to the streets. Of course you can sit outside and catch some sun too. Nice quick easy access location. The snack options are pretty awesome too.

I gave them 2 stars… for the effort only. I pass this place almost daily. I’ve been wanting to stop, just never did, until today. Every time I have passed, though, I have seen only one or two people in there… or none at all. Odd. My visit this morning was just okay. The one lady who waited on me was friendly enough. She explained the two different coffees they have. Nothing memorable so to speak, but nothing disturbing, either. The other lady, however, didn’t seem to be happy to be there. Sorry. As for the coffee. Eeeh. I am always so down for local roasts. I will support them over any other coffee, always. But this coffee is just plain gross. I am a very avid coffee drinker, and I have had hundreds of various coffees and for a local roast, I believe this Greater Goods is the worst one thus far. In my opinion, Ruta Maya, served at P Terry’s, greatly exceeds this brew. I see where some say They offer stevia, I did not see any. Maybe I had to ask for it? Although, they never mentioned it… even after I offered that this was my first time here… Oh well. It wouldn’t have helped the coffee. Between the visit itself and the coffee, I know I will not be back. I would much rather go to PT and get some Ruta Maya coffee for literally half the price. And it’s organic. Summermoon is also better, IMO. And again, they, too, are less expensive. Sorry Bee Cave. You just didn’t do it for me. Not by a long shot. Too many great local brews to just settle. Now, I will prepare my next outing and run to P Terry’s for a coffee I know won’t fail me.

Small shop, but delicious coffee! Try their cold brew nitro! Their espresso is really good also(third best in Austin).

I wish I could give this place more stars. It had so much potential. Great location, good outside seating they even buy from great roasters. Unfortunately they are ALWAYS under staffed for the volume of business they have. The baristas are slow and don’t know what they are doing. If 3 people are in front of me it will take 15 minutes to get my drink. 6 out of 10 times my latte is not good. The place is dirty not just a little but gross dirty. Hopefully they pull it together they have a great little spot right on the corner in the domain. The weird girl and the guy with the beard are very nice. The tall guy seems like he would rather be anywhere else but maybe that’s just his thing. Or maybe he actually hates everyone as much as it seems. Clean your store get some people to run it and teach them to do their jobs then you might have a coffee shop. Right now you have a mess, and what could be decent coffee.

We stopped by for a quick coffee after dinner while walking around the Domain. It was our first experience at Bee Cave Coffee and it was excellent. It seems like the true art and personal touch of a barista has been lost with the spread of big box Starbucks and CB&TLs taking over every corner. Bee Cave Coffee has helped restore my hope that there are still great local coffee shops to be found! We ordered a Chai Latte and Cappuccino and both were perfect! Their house blend of Chai is distinct, spicy, and aromatic. The Cappuccino was great.

This small little coffee shop in the domain is way better than Starbucks. White mocha with an extra expresso shot & almond milk was the best I’ve had in the domain area. Yes this place is small and probably not good for studying or business meetings but there is a great grassy area outside where you can enjoy your beverage. Support local coffee houses y’all!

I had the home squeezed lemonade and it was absolutely amazing. My wife had the coffee and said it was the best coffee she’s had in Austin. The barista was very friendly and punctual and the atmosphere was relaxing. Situated in the middle of the Domain Mall, it was a nice place to relax and rest my feet.

A little pricy for tea, but great selection. Tasty cookies! Nice employees, clean establishment that gives domain visitors a coffee and tea alternative.

I am a nerd, and this is a review for nerds. If you are a shopper, change the rating to 3 or 3.5 stars. The substantive comments below work for either version. Nerds go to coffee houses to get work done. They want a good place to sit, good work light, high quality coffee, and excellent internet. Extra points for a cool crowd, and extra points for good food. Bee Cave Coffee falls down on almost all of these points. The positive feature in a sea of negatives — the espresso is quite good. A good espresso is the key base for all of the other fancy coffee drinks you could want to drink — and the espresso is not good at a surprisingly large number of famous Austin coffee houses. So chalk up one for Bee Cave. They also do a «nitrogen-infused» cold brew. The nitrogen infused cold brew is an abomination to be avoided at all costs. (and they charge a lot for it — so your accountant will thank you as much as your palate will.) Bee Cave wants you in and out quickly and does not want you lingering. They do not have a lot of space, so I understand the logic somewhat. That however, means all the seating is outdoors(roast roast roast, glare glare glare) or on very very uncomfortable high stools indoors. Well, if management wants the customers to leave immediately, they have certainly done their job. Glare is high even indoors and even with the mesh anti-glare curtains down. So you will not be seeing a lot of what you are working on. The terms of internet use are unacceptable(and once again, probably by design.) It is a Time Warner commercial system that requires that you give them a permanent email address. Sorry — coffee shops do not get the right to get my personal information just so I can use the internet. Worse — although this is probably not management’s fault — alt-internets such as ATT Myfi don’t reach into Bee Cave coffee — probably due to some quirky hole in ATT’s coverage. (not that that makes Time Warner cry.) This makes it even harder to get anything useful done there. Food options are average to unattractive. Baked goods average and probably good enough. Pre-made sandwiches look pretty grim. If you are a shopper, and you are tired, and you want to just sit down for a minute, have a caffeine fix and continue on checking out the stores, this is probably an okay place for your ten minute coffee break. I would never go here to have a long conversation with a friend over coffee because the seats are too unpleasant. For what it is worth, I ended up on «Bee Caves Coffee Review Day» over at Starbucks at Mopac and Parmer and I was much much happier.

Way better than starbucks! They have almond milk and stevia but I ended up not even needing it because their coffee had so much infused flavors that black was amazing. Also the staff was super friendly and helpful!

Three stars with room to grow as I anticipate future great things to come as I expand out to try their other offerings. The Domain location is a slimmed down offering of their Galleria site. They offer a very light pastry selection(no gluten free options). This is simply a coffee and tea spot that highlights Cuvee coffee and Third Coast Roasters. Their selections are listed on a menu located by the cash register. It is conveniently located near Ipic and across from several quick lunch spots. This is not a coffee place to sit and hang out at, it is geared towards grab and go, although they do have a couple bar stools you can chill at. I was warmly welcomed by the staff when I entered and had a delightful conversation with them. I loved that they had the Cuvee nitrogenized coffee in cans and on tap. It’s great to see more places offering this. I find it delicious, but it’s not for everyone. Look forward to future visits.

I live at the Domain so I may be partial, but I mostly give them 5 stars for customer service. Everyone who works there is always incredibly nice and does a great job. Normally there are a few people at a place that are friendly, but literally every employee at this location is great. The coffee is also very good, and they have a rotating brew every couple days when you want to mix it up. In addition they have taco deli breakfast tacos Monday through Friday which is good if you’re on the go(I haven’t had any of their other food). I wish they were open earlier in the morning… There are at least a few days a week I need coffee before 7:30 am.

OK, I really want to like this place — it’s near work and is an alternative to the green coffee monster and to Whole Foods. But right now, I just can’t into it. The Cuvee coffee is good — but I am a mocha fan, and their house special Caramel Turtle Mocha is waaay too sweet, which kills any coffee taste. Also, I haven’t had any latte art from them — which has now become a cool part of my coffee ritual. Service was solid until my last visit. I helped out the staff by trading a $ 10 bill for a bunch of ones, and my reward was to have them forget to make my coffee. After I brought it to their attention, I got a nice apology, but was kinda hoping for a free coffee or something — maybe I’m just too entitled these days.

Yes, bee cave Coffee is the best coffee available at the Domain(better than Starbucks most of the time). Yes they serve Cuvee. And Yes, for an average coffee drinker it will satisfy your need for a cup of Joe. But it does not belong in the list of shops for coffee lovers. It just does not deliver the quality you can get fro other coffee shops in Austin. The location is great, the seating outside is great for an early or late summer afternoon, and the pastries are OK. nothing special in that department either.

I have enjoyed the coffee at this location and the staff is friendly enough. However I’ve gone here three times in the early morning only to find they’re not open. Their website hours differ from their listed Unilocal!hours and both of those differ from the hours posted on the door. Today I made a point to come at 8:30am and the doors weren’t open and no one was there. I think it’s nice when a company posts exceptions on the door(even if I were to see it same day) so I know it’s a special occasion they’re opening early and I’m not just idling next to the door wondering if anyone will come out. Living in the Domain, it’s a convenient location and I’ll still continue to buy coffee here.

When I heard that a new local coffee shop had opened up at the Domain, I was eager to try it. I knew exactly where it was located, luckily since the Domain is so ginormous. Their location is right by the iPic Theater, and in the exact spot that the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf used to be back in the day. Parking was easy, nearby in the parking garage. I was particularly was lured by the fact that they have Cuvee coffee, specifically Black & Blue on tap and also sold in cans. I was also under the impression based upon the menu presented online that they had a food menu. I was the only customer in there and both gals were equally friendly and allowed me to try the Black & Blue on tap before purchasing. I did not love this coffee, and I asked the gals how they drank it. For someone who usually drinks black coffee, as well as iced black coffee, and just about any and every iced coffee, I was not blown away. You see, I am a self-proclaimed iced coffee snob. I used to make my own iced coffee concentrate at home, it was delicious as is. This was not. Maybe it tastes better from the can? I still purchased an iced coffee because I was here for that reason. Caffeine. My mind was blown that it was over $ 4 for an uninspiring cup of iced coffee! It’s not even something they make in house! The second reason I went in here was also a disappointment. They don’t offer a food menu like shown on their website, that food menu is offered at the Bee Cave location. This location offers pastries they purchase from other local spots, as well as TacoDeli tacos. Fail x2. The inside is small, the hours are limited to acquire daytime shoppers. I did enjoy sitting outside for a couple minutes while I planned my next move, but again outside seating at a coffee shop isn’t exactly rare.
