I don’t like to eat in my car, but when we discovered they were remodeling the interior but the drive thru was operational… Unilocal reviews coerced me to proceed with my plan to taste some of what they were raving about. The chicken tenders were minimally battered and fried perfectly… a slightly crunchy exterior and a tender, juicy, tasty interior, definitely better than my visit to PDQ. The french fries were exceptional as well. The original sauce was da bomb. We’ll definitely come back for more.

Really cool truck! You can get chicken 3 ways: 1) grilled, 2) fried, 3) buffalo. The unique part is that you can buy by the tender. Just want 1 tender for your finicky child? Just get 1. Want to try their chicken but also try the other food trucks at the Midway Food Park? Buy a few tenders to share and get an item from another truck. Want a great idea to sell by the tender. They offer a variety of dipping sauce options. We tried the original and southwest. My personal preference was the southwest. It was tangy and a little spicy. Very nice with the chicken. I’d be happy to go back and try some more from Bob & Mike’s. They offer sides and a variety of other dipping sauces. Why not try them all?

Got the Buffalo chicken strips… mmmmmm. so yummy. The way the breading soaks up the sauce it tastes decadent rather than soggy. Mmmm

Juicy chicken and crisp-on-the-outside fries. Both very good.

I just want to state that I am PROUD to be the one to put this food truck on the map, simply because I know that Austin Unilocalers will LOVE to add this addition of food to the food truck scene!!! My girlfriend and I were on 360 when we were doing our normal«What are we going to eat tonight?» ritual. When out of NOWHERE my girlfriend was feeling adventurous right as we passed the Midway Food Park, now this place has finally gotten more food trailers here besides the«Dock and Roll Diner» and«The Seedling Truck» so we decided to check out the park and see if there was anything we could find to eat. The first trailer we saw(OPEN) was«Bob and Mike’s Chicken» we read the menu and pretty much knew RIGHTAWAY that this was the trailer we were going to choose, even though we did make sure to do the«Trailer Rounds» to make sure! When we did finished we both knew we still wanted Bob and Mike’s Chicken so we headed over. Now I am a HUGE fan of anything BUFFALO so I order the Buffalo Chicken Tenders while my girlfriend went with the Regular Chicken Tenders. I got the side of the battered french fried while my girlfriend got the corn cake. The price was very cheap and the people EXTREMELY friendly. When our food came out this man standing outside of the trailer asked us if we needed help to which we kindly refused. We began to eat at one of the amazing park benches this park has set up and loved it immediately. The chicken wasn’t to crispy and the meat was not in the least bit«dry» or «stringy». PERFECT in every way!!! While eating the man standing outside was going in and out of the trailer leading us to believe he either worked there or owned it. While we finally catch him and the employees attentions and let them know how good the food is. Who is this strange man?! Non other than the BOB in «Bob and Mike’s Chicken»! We chatted up with him for at least 20 minutes and you can’t ask for a nicer man! He told us about the other products on the menu and let us try his Black Bean and Corn side which was TO-DIE-FOR!!! I could go on and on ranting about how awesome the owner and the food was but I know that you Unilocalers will see this and check this place out!!! BYFAR the best chicken I have ever had! «Bob and Mike’s Chicken», I can’t wait to see you tomorrow!!!
