I love going to Bush’s Chicken for their great car service. It’s nice to talk to people face to face and they’re always there to greet you with a smile. I recently became a car club member(which is free). That allows you to have happy hour prices, any day, any time. That’s a score b/c it will save you a few bucks each visit. This location is easy to get in and out. The food is good when you need a fried chicken fix. Try the chicken biscuit sandwiches with honey. Yummy!

Fast service! Crispy, flavorful, non– greasy chicken strips and refeshing sweet tea. Although they dont compare to golden chick

Love the chicken, love the gravy, all the food is great… however twice I have gotten home, to east Austin with an incomplete order. Twice though AM Travis has made it right replacing the order next visit. However this time Lupe was the manager, said she was the gm. Said he wrote something down different, I ask if I could pay the difference… nope. ask for a corp number… nope. so I tell her I will pay for this whole order and call Travis back next day. She brings oder out very rude. Tells me it’s all free I told her no I wanted to pay and she wouldn’t let me. Basically made me feel like I shouldn’t come back. If they mess up oder and they offer to replace it then live up t o your word. Dont make it. sound like ots my fault they made mistakes. Got it all on dashcam… maybe ownership should see it.

Delicious every time! The chicken is always hot & fresh — even warms up well the next day. They tend to forget the condiments in the drive-thru but when they do, they give you a ton(which works out well…) Chicken strips are bland but I learned my lesson the 1st time. Had to wait 20 min once for my meal due to high demand on chicken breasts, which was fine… though the manager surprised me by comping my meal!

Best chicken strips I have ever had!!! Make sure you ask for spicy serendipity salt and put in in your gravy, on top of fried okra and the chicken strips well just put it on everything!!! It’s delicious! Also their chicken tender rolls are awesome. Pair all of this with a monster size half and half fresh sweet tea, and you are in mouth orgasm heaven!!!

This was the WORST fried chicken ever! The oil that I burped up all night was clearly rancid, and the green beans tasted like they poured them straight out of a can. The mac and cheese had fake cheese and no taste! Overall a very disappointing experience.

After trying this place I am totally forgetting getting fried chicken anywhere else! The prices are very fair and they serve very high quality food compared to other chain fast food establishments. The service is fantastic; meaning the employees/carhops are very friendly and actually seem to like working there(even in the rain.) Chicken tender family style dinners are great to overfill a few people. The rolls are warm and buttery, the gravy is extra creamy, and the fried okra is a must have!

In college I always ate Chicken Express and always thought that was the top of the top. But, Bush’s chicken is the total upgrade form CE. It’s much cleaner on the inside and the ingredients they use are much better. Their line seems to go by quicker and their staff are always very friendly. I’d highly recommend it.

Great and quick service. The chicken is not greasy like some of the other chains. I also love the okra. Next time I will try adding spicy seasoning that some of the other Unilocal reviews had suggested next time.

Whenever I eat chicken tenders, I always compare the taste to Golden Chick because Golden Chick has some of the best tenders that I have ever tasted. My mom and I came here a few weeks ago and I was not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff. All of our questions about the menu items were answered. We both ordered the 4 piece tender meal, and within minutes it was brought out to us. The food was so hot! Instead of fries, we had fried okra for our side. Everything was so good. The rolls were probably my favorite! I have to say that the tenders are probably just as good as Golden Chick. If there’s anyway Bush’s Chicken can come out to Houston, that would be fantastic!

Best fast food fried chicken I’ve ever had! This place is close to my home so I like to frequent after an afternoon of drinking or the day after an afternoon of drinking. Large, moist pieces of chicken, hot enough to still be hot when you arrive home. SUPER friendly and speedy service with tasty fried chicken!

I moved here from California yesterday, and had heard about how great Bush’s chicken was. Today, after an exhausting day, I decided to drop in for a late dinner. I arrived at 9:40, knowing they didn’t close until 10. I was treated like I had a disease and was totally unwelcome. Any question about the menu was followed with a roll of the eyes from the cashier. After hastily getting my food, an employee tried to clean my table AS I WASEATING. Wow. Should of stuck to what I know is a friendly, great-tasting place… KFC. Thanks for the Texas welcome, Bush’s.

Stumbled upon this gem one day after work because it was nearby, and I am so glad I did! Bush’s chicken, especially this location, is probably in my top 3 list of favorite restaurants in Austin! The manager here was very friendly, and so is the staff. I love their fried chicken, especially dipped in warm, creamy gravy, and their sweet tea is absolutely amazing. The rolls are fresh, soft, and heavenly as well. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area.

When Bush’s Chicken first opened up on Brodie, I initially thought it was ex-president related or owned by some redneck from Alabama. I was shocked to learn it is a Texan institution out of Odessa, and later Waco(sic ‘em Bears). Gizzards and Liver were AWESOME if you are into eating entrails like moi. The Chicken Tenders were okay. The«Serendipity Spicy Seasoned Salt» takes the tenders from 6⁄10 to a whopping 11.5÷10! Wow, good stuff. For the sides, I understand everything is bigger in Texas but their Mac N Cheese sucks because the noodles are huge and tasteless. Fried okra was meh, and the cole slaw was barely decent but better than my mother’s version(earmuffs, maman). Seriously, KFC still makes the best cole slaw I’ve tasted. Even compared to my mother’s homemade, natural, made with love version(earmuffs again, mama). I love my mom’s food but cole slaw must be the holy grail of cuisine because not many people can get it right(okay earmuffs off now, maman). Oh, and if you come, ask for the condiments and sauces of your preference: Serendipity Seasoned Salt, Serendipity Spicy Seasoned Salt, Honey Sauce, Texas Pete Hot Sauce and ketchup. I’ll definitely be back and I most likely will take my mom so we can espionage and figure out why our cole slaw never comes out like KFC’s or Bushs’. [Stay Tuned…]

I used to live in a small town called Brownwood, Texas and all they had was«Chicken Express» which is basically the same thing for those who have tried chicken express in the past. You won’t regret going here if you are a chicken tender lover. Best chicken tenders In town! They were never in Austin Texas only in surrounding areas like round rock but they are finally here and in southwest Austin by my house! Best combination to get is chicken tender meal with fried okra and make sure you ask for SPICYSERENDIPITYSALT! Smother all the food with it and your in sodium overload heaven!!! ;) also their sweet tea is to die for, always fresh and always tasty.(Monster 44oz tea sales for $.99 after 2 pm everyday for HH)

Had the fried chciken, mashed potatoes & gravy, & roll. — The fried chicken had a crispy, tasty crust on the outside and tender, juicy meat on the inside. — The mashed potatoes were very good, on par with a restaurant variety instead of fast food. — The roll was very soft but was ice cold. Would have been better if it was even a little warm. Nice, friendly people working there. This really is some of the best chicken I’ve had since my Grandma passed. Much better than some of those trendy chicken restaurants that charge you way more for less. Many more things on their menu I’d like to try, healthy eating breaks permitting.
