Chill-Out Hawaiian Shaved Ice

A few co-​workers and I needed to curb the sweet tooth after lunch this hot summer day. Located a few blocks away from our office we decided to try Chill Out Hawaiian Shaved Ice. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavor of Chill Out. I ordered the strawberry with cream, one co-​worker tried the white coconut and another co-​worker tried watermelon. All three hit the spot! Not only does the owner, Timothy, make a great shaved ice, but he is also pleasant to talk to as he’s making it. At $ 1.50 for a small size I would rather opt for this than a king-​size candy bar at the 7-​Eleven across the street any day.
Now it’s not quite a Casey’s New Orleans Snowball, but I don’t feel like driving 4 miles out in 104 degree heat. Timothy and Chill Out get a solid 4 stars. Shaved ice + Service + Price = Worth dropping by if you’re anywhere in the neighborhood!
