I enjoyed the sandwich and the enviroment was ok. The service was not spectacular and neither was the soft drinks station. I ended up drinking a water just to get that nasty syrupy taste from the carbonated drink station. I enjoyed the philly cheese but they should look into improving there service. I might come back if im craving a hot sub.

Was in the area for lunch, had been to a Firehouse Subs before and it was pretty good, so got the Italian hot sub. The order was fairly quick and they delivered our sandwiches to our table. It just wasn’t that good, I had previously had the hook and ladder sub, that was better, but if i want a Italian sub, i would probably get one from Jimmy Johns. Doesn’t mean all their food is not that good, but just think they could do better at the Italian.

My co-workers and I came here for lunch. We stood in line and I observed the guy at the counter take orders. Every order took about 5 minutes. It was that slow. There were 3 people making the sandwiches and they didn’t look busy at all, so it seems like the one person taking orders was the bottleneck. If you decide to come here, make sure you have plenty of time to spare. I ordered the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. It took a while for our orders to arrive. The sub was very tasty, though. The beef brisket was nice and soft and was topped with melted cheddar and a barbecue sauce. The food was great, but the wait was a huge turn-off. Maybe next time we’ll order online.

Love the sandwiches! But on this particular visit there was one couple in front of me, and my sandwich took almost 20 minutes to make! Absolutely ridiculous! No excuse, especially since it was a Sunday, there was no one else waiting except for me and that couple. It wasn’t a big order, just two for them… And now I’m writing a hangry review.

Slow. Slow. Slow. Not okay for a chain sandwich shop. After waiting 30 minutes for my sandwich last time, I vowed to call ahead from now on. I just called back-to-back with no answer before giving up and going to a different location. The new location off 183 is not very far from Burnet and has MUCH better service.

Not a great first experience. Remember Business 101 Prioritize the purchasing customer. Stood there while everyone was more interested in helping some lady find a store she was looking for on their phones than in taking an order. Walked out…

The best sandwiches in the area! Delicious and tons of flavor. Way better than Quiznos or subway. And the staff at this location is super friendly :)

First time at this location and the staff was very friendly! Everyone of the 3 guys working here were energetic and accommodating. These guys seem genuinely happy which is rarely something I see at a sandwich place. I come here for the cherry limeade, but the sandwiches always impress me. Italian sandwich is good, I like it so I haven’t tried anything else. Will definitely be back

I’ve sworn off this location not knocking others. The staff is constantly changing and stupid, I like my subs a certain way, more often than not they get it wrong. must be the management at this point.

Been to this location a few times and wasn’t entirely happy with the last visit. Ordered the steak and cheese sub which is my go to order. It was around lunch time which I will give them the benefit of the doubt. They gave me my cup to fill my beverage and not only was there no tea available but you couldn’t get anything out of the coke freestyle machine. The place was pretty dirty like no one had been cleaning. Pretty much all of their chip selection was gone with empty racks. I will say the sandwich was delicious as always so that is the reason for the 3 stars. The manager there also does a great job! Not sure of his name but he wasn’t getting much help!

32 Minutes. It took 32 minutes from the time I ordered and sat down to get my food. I actually didn’t even realize, either, until someone who had been sitting down before me went up to the counter to ask where their food was. Then I noticed. I used to come here years ago and it was always pretty consistently good and fast, even at lunch rush. I came after around 2:10, and there were four people behind the counter all, what seemed like, making sandwiches. I guess it was all a clever ruse(We’re using ruse now, guys, we’re bringing that word back). The food was still good but for that kinda wait I should have just gone to Hopdoddy’s. Hopefully things improve and I just went on a weird off day. I’ll be back again to see cause I’m nice like that, and will update the review then. … Because I love sandwiches and I’m a big olé fatty.

Firehouse subs beats all other sandwich shops on the market, IMHO. The service is always a fast, the staff are welcoming and friendly. And the food is consistently yummo!

Can’t go wrong with firehouse subs. Love it and the number 2 is where it’s at. Place has a plenty of seating available. Good came out promptly, even with a group of 11 that we had.

My first visit to Firehouse Subs couldn’t have been better. I ordered the Steak and Cheese but couldn’t decide on the second. Young John(?) suggested the the Turkey Bacon Ranch. Best turkey sandwich ever! A couple of weeks later, I returned. I asked to speak to a manager. Manager wasn’t yet on duty but he stepped behind the counter to help me. I wanted to fill out a comment card but they were out. The staff kept asking what they could do to help. I finally gave up and just started telling the manager of my first visit, how happy I was with how good my subs were and so on, then indicated the young man that had helped before. Staff laughed and said they thought it might be a bad thing. After I ordered my 2 subs, while waxing poetic about my satisfaction, the manager comped my subs. I couldn’t believe it! I told him a free meal was not on my mind, that I just wanted to give due credit where it was deserved. Told him I was going to write a review on Unilocal after my broken wrist healed. Staff is friendly and well versed about their menu and are happy to make suggestions if you can’t make a choice In fact, I can’t recall when I’ve encountered better. The restaurant was clean and busy. It takes just a short time to get one of the best subs around. Move over, Jason’s. Firehouse Subs actually have flavor! A lot of it! No bland, made for the masses, Subway sandwich. Firehouse Subs is my new BFF and I’m NEVER going back to Subway or Thunderhouse again. I’m pacing myself but I’m going back nest Sunday. I’ve gotta try the Firehouse Meatball, spicy and the Club on a Sub

I got the hook and ladder sub and felt it was a good choice, for being around $ 5.99. The meat was tender and it went together well with the cheese, mayo, and lettuce. The staff was nice enough. I’d eat there again, but it was like a lot of other sub shops. But again, I still enjoyed eating there.

The sandwiches were good… Plenty of ingredients, sweetness in the bun. They were so sweet to my little niece and she said she liked her grilled cheese :)

I have never seen a more forlorn group of people behind a sandwich counter. I came during the lunch rush, so the line was understandably long. What was not understandable was how incredibly long it took to get my sandwich while these sad-faced, mid-twenties guys moved at snail pace and called each person’s name at a completely inaudible level in the loud, crowded store. To be fair, when the morose sandwich maker finally called my name, he did tack on a completely flat«sorry for the wait ma’am,» which I did genuinely appreciate. I grabbed my sandwich to eat at an outdoor table with my book, only to realize they gave me the wrong sandwich. I ordered the Hook and Ladder Light and received the Turkey and Cranberry. Unfortunately, I really hate cranberry spread. But, the thought of going through that line all over again and interacting with those very sad men was just too depressing, so I ate the cranberry sandwich(the turkey was great though!).

Firehouse Subs We thought we would try Firehouse Subs. I haven’t really found a good Sub place since I left Miami. The sad news is that I still haven’t. We ordered the Meatball sub because it had such great reviews, and the Turkey Bacon Ranch. First I have to say that the bread was really pretty good and the sauce was pretty good too. The appearance was appetizing too. The real drawback for me was the meatballs. Too much filler not enough meat. My daughter picked off most the meatballs and just ate the bread with a sliver of meatball, she really didn’t like the taste of the meatballs. The Turkey Bacon Ranch was ok, just not enough meat. I didn’t see where you could add more meat. The price break seems to be sandwich or combo. There isn’t really clear signage on what«fully involved» means either. I might go back and try something else sometime if I’m in the mood for a sandwich.

I don’t know if this place has always been bad, but lately I’ve had to wait 30+ minutes for my sandwich with literally 5 or 6 people in the store. There are 4 people working behind the counter, and it takes 30 minutes to make a sandwich? Also, one of the workers just went on an audible, profanity laced tirade(multiple f-bombs) about some piece of equipment, with little kids within earshot. Not okay. At all.

A long day of job hunting and errands left me hungry again after not that long. My initial quest was that Tuscan Chicken sandwich at Subway, but you always leave Subway SMELLING like Subway for hours. Luckily the location I went to was closed(during business hours, oddly enough). I ended up over at Firehouse Subs. Their current promo is the Meatball sub and I’d never had theirs, so I figured«What the heck?» and went with it. I will say this, I’m usually reticent to order meatballs in restaurants because you always get that odd consistency that you would get from Chef Boyardee. My mother totally kills at making meatballs, so I get judgmental. I have to commend Firehouse Subs on theirs. They aren’t my mother’s, but they were pretty satisfying. The staff are kind, albeit seeming like they’re bored out of their minds. They get the job done, though, so I’ll say don’t worry about bad service. Firehouse Subs is pretty good stuff, so you can count on them for a good meal.
