I don’t expect much from McDonald’s. I just want cheap food fast. For whatever reason, they took over 15 minutes on my simple order of two Hot N Spicy’s and large fries. I do not recommend this place at all. With this wait time, I might as well have gone to P. Terry’s.

Where am I? Stepping into this place was like a time machine. Whoever owns the franchise never got the memo – or did not care —that the restaurant is supposed to upgrade. It still looks like a ‘fast food joint’. It’s apparent from the moment you come inside. I quickly got my order and left. I did not want to linger any longer than I voluntarily had to. On the plus side, the order was correct and prepared quickly.

super rude. do not care about customer at night simply wanting to close up and get out. also has very early hours compared to other mcdonalds.

Worst Mcdonalds Ive ever been to! It was like if hitler or the soup nazi decided to franchise. The kid working there told me that they never offered a two cheese burger meal. Stupid! Never GOTHERE!

Had the pleasure of dining-in as a parent-chaperone with a class of 40 middle-schoolers. Kudos! to the manager and staff for stepping up with smiles and patience to serve us and the regular customers efficiently and with little wait time. Excellent team work and customer service, food was hot and fresh, holiday cookies were a real treat!

Went inside and it was the dirtiest mcdonald’s i’ve ever been to. The bathroom was probably Austin’s sewage system. Total mess and absolutely disgusting.

I’ve been here a few times when I am in town as it is near where I stay. Like many urban McDonald’s they do not have self-service beverage refills and limit you to one refill. WiFi is decent but they have a 30 minute no loitering sign posted which I don’t know if they enforce(my Seattle store has it posted but doesn’t enforce). Food and everything else up to McDonald’s standards.

I went to this McDonald’s to get a hot fudge sundae in hopes that it might numb the crushing loneliness that fills my every waking moment. I was told that they were«out of ice cream». It seems that even Ronald has turned his back on me now. I pulled up to the drive through a shattered being hoping for just the smallest bit of comfort and I left with additional evidence that there is nothing in this life that we can count on aside from constant pain and the eventual relief of death’s warm embrace. I will not be returning to this location.

This McD’s does not taste as good as others. The filet o fish was soggy, the Big Mac had almost no sauce on it and my husband pretty much banned eating here after getting the quarter pounder. The fries are good, but the McD’s in the WalMart is so much better.

Sometimes all you want is a plain little ice-cream cone. When I was(much) younger, McDonald’s always got ice-cream cones right: the portion, the taste, the price. They still do. Today, fifty cents gets me one vanilla soft serve cone plus a shot of nostalgia. I’m loving it!

It’s a McDonald’s, so you know what the food is like. That out of the way, I used to swing by this location right next to the Peter Pan Mini Golf before work years ago, and I’m glad it’s still around. The service has always been friendly, and the place is clean and inviting. I think my biggest gripe about this McDonald’s is getting out. Lamar is almost always way too busy unless it’s late at night /early in the morning. Barton Springs has a dip right where the street and the McDonald’s lot meet so you need to take it nice and slow and hope your car isn’t lowered or has a fancy front bumper

This review is actually a product review and not a review of the restaurant itself. Service here has always been pleasant, and the food is usually predictable… until today. I fell for the hype. I bought a McCafe. To be specific, I bought an iced Mocha. This was the most vile thing I’ve ever had the displeasure to put in my mouth… seriously! It was bitter bitter bitter… like week old coffee. No sweetness, no chocolate flavor, no coffee flavor really… just cold bitter bitterness. It made me want to syphon some gas from my truck to take the flavor out of my mouth. I tossed it in the trash before leaving the parking lot. McDonalds… go back to what you do best, burgers and fries. Leave the java for those who know how.

I have not been to a McDonald’s since my kid was 5 years old. The menu has changed and it looks healthier. Salads! This review is only for the ginormous iced tea for $ 1.08. It is enough for several people. Nice to be able to drive through and get something tasty, caffeinated and cold. Hard to believe a fast foods restaurant with a logo featuring a clown wearing big red shoes has salads. Do they still give out those little prizes for a kid’s meal?

So, this morning I am watching the Food Network and just as I sit down to dig into my yummy spinach and cheese omelet Tyler Florence starts cooking a Baked Potato Hash Brown that has my salivary glands turning cart-wills… The only place I could think of that I could get Hash Browns with the Pup in tow was McDonald’s drive through. So, I let the pup finish my omelet and excitedly got ready to indulge in some Hash Browns! I chose this location because it is 2 blocks from Lady Bird Lake, where I had plans for a morning run. I pull up order and wait less than 5 minutes for the 3 cars in front of me before the 2 Hash Browns are in my hands along with 2 packets of salt and ketchup. I drove a block away and parked in the Daughtry Arts Center parking lot and savored every bite of my Hash Browns while my pup whimpered and whined to begin the morning adventure or maybe she wanted a bite, I was no way sharing. The Hash Browns at this location are purrfect! — hot and crunchy on the outside with a nice non-soggy texture on the inside(if you have ever had a hash brown where they did not wring out all the liquid you know what I am talking about). I sprinkled some salt on one and poured some ketchup on the other. The Hash Browns were so perfectly cooked they really only needed a little salt… I got home and logged onto to figure out how much damage I had done to my waist line and was pleasantly surprised — the Hash Browns only pack in 150 calories! I know those 150 calories are not that healthy; but I can run them off in less than 30 minutes… McDonald’s Hash Brown welcome to my weekend morning indulgence list!

Let’s talk salad… at McDonald’s. I know, CRAZY! Their asian fusion salad is my new Weight Watcher savior. Not only is it a measley 6 pts(with grilled chicken), it includes edamame! Edamame at McDonald’s! The whole idea makes flying pigs seem possible. This particular salad also has crisp red and green bell peppers, snow peas, never-brown greens(I’ve tested them plenty) and I can’t believe the selection of low-fat dressings available(Newman’s Own). The ginger dressing for the asian salad is only 2 pts and so yummy. The only drawback, and it’s a minor one for me, is that the chicken has some kind of glaze on it… I’m not a fan but I don’t hate it… I just don’t know if it’s really necessary. Now, I usually grab my salads in the drive-thru and if you’re trying to watch what you eat, I’d advise you to do the same. I had a little time to kill between appts. on Saturday and decided I’d eat in. Big mistake. It is much harder to appreciate a delicious salad when all around you are munching on those delectable fries. I’ve also tried the ranch salad and it is very ho-hum, no reason for a repeat. But the asian fusion brings me back on a nearly daily basis… The people in the drive-thru here are always extremely friendly. I like that too.

It’s McDonald’s yes, but their fries are really good.
