Peter Pan Mini-Golf

Great place to go with the family. 6 adults, 3 boys, everyone between the ages of 4 and 80 and we all had a blast!
The boys loved the cool statues and obstacles for putt-​putt! 18 holes was just the right amount for all of us. With the summer sun beaming down on us we were exhausted by the time we finished! Though there were some trees throughout it would’ve been great to get a bit more shade and maybe some fans with mists to help keep everyone cool!
I initially wanted to try the West course for some cool photo ops with the Dinosaur but they said the East course was easier for kids. But even the adults were getting stuck on a few holes lol.
Anyways, glad I came by to cross this off my Austin Bucketlist. I’m sure I’ll be coming back to try the other side :)

Classic mini golf course in the heart of Austin. Priced well and has two courses (18 holes each). Great place for kids/​family as well as adults who want the added challenge of drinking while putting. In terms of difficulty, this is probably the easiest mini golf course I’ve ever played. I think I finished with only two strokes on half of the holes (putting is the worst part of my golf game) but there are some holes that are a little more challenging.
Overall, it’s an Austin icon and it’s convenient and affordable if you’re close to downtown. BYOB is what will keep this place around for a long time.

Really enjoyed our time here! One of the best courses we have played. I’d really like to see a little more upkeep on the vegetation and maybe a dragon that spits fire or something. A little pricy, but it’s fun.

A BYOB establishment with a true Austiney-​keep Austin weird vibe with quirkey statues and décor surrounding each hole.
There are 2 course options, ranging from easy or hard (or hard-​hard depending on how BYOB you go). Personally, I’m equally bad at both courses, but I always have a good time whiffing my way through anyway. 8 – 10 putts later I feel euphoric when I finally move to the next hole. Whatever, it was a par 3 anyway. :)
Usually, I stop at Uncle Billy’s and grab a growler of IPA beforehand and then sip on that through the course. There is also a gas station across the street and many other fun hangout spots like House Wine very close by if you want to keep the party going.
I guess the only downside is that it’s not a secret how fun this place is. It will be crowded on weekend days. I have been on a weeknight though and it was much less crowded.
Parking is limited, but we have found that if you are nice to the McDonalds next door they will let you park in their lot. :)

I LOVE mini golf. It’s one of those games that can be casual and competitive at the same time. Great for a small group of friends to hang out and catch up. However, Peter Pan as a whole was disappointing. Sure, come here for historical reasons. It’s an iconic Austin location after all. Come take some pictures. But for mini golf, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Even Main Event’s Glow in the Dark mini golf is better than this.
So why was it disappointing? Where do I even begin. Parking was impossible, even for a Wednesday night. There are spots for 10 cars. The courses were poorly maintained, dirty and full of trash. It’s hard to even hit a ball straight. Most of the courses were super easy, par 2 or 3 at most. Several of them were literally just a straight shot, par 1. A group of 4 can easily finish 18 holes less than 30 mins. The bathroom was gross. Neither the toilet nor the sink worked. The dude at the window looked like he hated his job. He didn’t even let us pick the clubs with the right length.
Lastly, this place attracts a ton of dating couples, especially on first or second dates. You can tell by their conversations and their body languages. What it means is to be ready to WAIT. We were stuck behind two sets of couples. Sometimes, they literally just stood there and forced conversations for a min or two w/​o even touching a ball… oh, and it would take them 10 shots to finish a par 2 –_​_​–

Great spot if you find yourself with nothing to do and want to have a bit of fun. My group is all novices at mini golf so that probably accounted for the crazy fun we had. The group in front of us had their own drinks but nobody was even buzzed so it wasn’t an issue. The price was really great as well. It was pretty quiet but then again it was a weekday around 2pmish. The statues were funky and cheesy so it really adds a cool feel to it.

What a wonderful fun place to spend some time! Prices are good, you can bring your own beverages (just no glass), it’s challenging and quirky at the same time — what more can you ask! There are picnic tables outside if you need to rest between games or if some in your party want to play both the easy and hard course and some just want to socialize. Either way, you are covered.
The afternoon we were there, the place was filled with families, teenagers, 20 and 30 year olds and just about everyone else and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We will be back!

Awesome place to go. Fun for all ages. BYOB. I never been and went with a group of friends since we all have not played mini-​golf in years. Very clean place. All ages were there. Very enjoyable. Plus, a fun thing to do for a good price.

I don’t get mini-​golf. It’s not fun. It’s one of those things you do once every five years. Once you get through three holes, you realize why you don’t go mini-​golfing.
My dislike of the «sport» aside, there’s no real reason to go to Peter Pan. It’s byob which leads to trash left at every hole. There are trash cans, but they were all full. We went on a nice day and the courses were flooded with people. The pace was slow and with only one person manning the entire place (holy low overhead batman!) the trash was all around.
Thankfully, the cost is pretty low and there’s nothing to really keep you from playing both courses.
Beware the lost ball fee of $ 1.
Parking here is impossible. Just go pay for parking near the jack in the box.

Peter Pan Mini golf is a wonderful time for my entire family.
My family and I have recently visited Peter Pan and it has not changed much throughout the years, it is exactly as I remember it. It was the first time I have taken the children and we all had a very fun time. They provided smaller golf clubs for my children and they were very excited to be able to chose the color of ball. The check out was a fast experience and we were able to begin playing almost as soon as we arrived. Very pleased with our family time at Peter Pan, we will be back.
I would not recommend it for small children later in the day or even, as alcohol may be present.

Peter Pan is a magical mofo place that will make a 40(cough) year old feel like a 10 year old. Well, a 10 year old drinking champs in a can anyway.
I was so excited when BFF suggested Peter Pan for my bday fun day as I’d NEVER been. Such a bad Austinite, I know, but I can’t tell you how surprised and floored I was to see my name on the marquee when we pulled up. Not gonna lie… I felt like the most important person in Austin at that moment.
We bought two games each ($ 9 CASH each) and had a priceless time. We saw a squirrel trying to steal pizza, played thru the digestive tracts of many an animal (I really got hung up in the whale), made holes in one and took pictures of said holes, shared our champs with a bunch of the iconic statues, made a new friend with a local that hugged my neck when she found out it was my bday and took our pic in the T-​Rex crotch, took selfies with the turtle and the Transgender Tinkerbell, exclaimed that the Peter Pan had been on this planet as long as we had, and basically laughed and acted goofy for 2 hours. Your times may vary depending on how, uh, stoned you are (the stoners very sweetly invited us to play through them).
It truly was the best way to spend an unusually glorious January afternoon. I told BFF he’d out romanticized my bday and Hubby was gonna have to step up his game. Honestly, tho, I don’t know how anyone could top that for a 40(cough) something kid at heart.

Well, half the course was closed for an event when we stopped in, but this place is still fun as ever.
We had to stop in for a round while in town visiting because my wife had never played proper mini-​golf before. She’d gone to ‘putting ranges’, but nothing like this.
Really, it’s a good time. It’s not too expensive. It’s a neat and unique experience. The statues are great to look at, and the course flows well.
The parking lot is kinda small, but it was easy to get a spot when I was there.
All in all, at $ 6 a person, it was well worth the money.

One of the few spots for Putt-​Putt in the city limits of Austin… but a good destination for fun. It is BYOB (No Glass) there are a few corner stores nearby so you don’t necessarily have to bring a cooler… you can probably get one of the two courses done in just over an hour with a crowd there. There are multiple, unique photo-​ops to show your friends after the fun.
The one very minor issue, was that they do not accept cards (debit or credit). They have an ATM which charges like $ 3.50 to withdraw money, but this day and age many folks don’t carry cash too often.

Yo, do you even Putt Putt?
This is a really fun course to play with family and friends. It sits in the heart of the Barton Springs/​South Lamar part of town and has two great courses to play. Playing Peter Pan has become a little bit of a family tradition when we get to see each other. Both courses are pretty challenging and have great obstacles to overcome to get you ball in the hole.
So this is a good or bad thing depending on your age and if you have little one:
I had a blast there the other day playing with my nieces, but the aroma of alcohol and cigarettes was a bit overwhelming. I am not trying to stop anyone’s good time, but it would be better for the kiddos to at least say no smoking allowed on the course. If folks wanna get boozed up ok, that doesn’t give my 4 year old niece second hand use, but the stogies are a killa.

Parking is BAD and cash only. Cheap price for a game, byob, really packed on weekends. Although some people are inconsiderate and take forever desperately trying to make the hole in one!

Cute, old school mini golf! This is a great place to take your date for a fun night out. The best part of Peter Pan Mini Golf is that it is BYOB! Grab a six pack or a bottle of wine and pretend to be kids again for a cheap date night!

Though my wine was not allowed… For safety reasons… Jared was appropriately enthusiastic and accommodating. My group of five had a great time ! East side under construction so make sure to ask when you pay!

An Austin staple, Peter Pan mini golf is an inexpensive and fun way to spend an evening. I think it’s perfect for date night or an evening with family. You can BYOB as long is it’s in cans. $ 6/​person for 18 holes or $ 9/​person for both 18 hole courses. Weekend evenings can get crowded, so be prepared to wait a little for your turn to putt. Cash only with ATM on site, and they are open until 1am on Saturday.

Love this place. Very fun, love that it’s open late. Kinda cool it’s BYoB. Parking is small though and it’s a bit pricey and last time they only took cash which was a drag. Course is very innovative and fun regardless of how many times you go back. And they have 2 different causes to take. I suggest a avoiding Friday and Saturday evenings if you have a large group because gets really packed and you have to wait between holes. But overall fun place to go and have fun with friends and family.

We had a blast here! We did the harder course, and it was not easy, but we still had a great time. It was pretty packed on a Saturday night, but people were really friendly while waiting and it moved along. This is def a fun thing to do for various ages.

Fun times with good friends today playing putt putt. The guy working there was nice and since we were part of a big group there for a birthday party we got to play 18 holes for only 5 $. The course is fun and everyone has a good time. Only cons… parking is very limited so we paid for street parking across the street and there were bees everywhere (and one girl in our group got stung). The bees seemed really attracted to the trash cans. :(It was also hot as hell but since Peter Pan putt putt can’t control the Texas heat that’s just part of the price I pay to live in Texas (but hey some misters would be rad!!!) Had a good time! And the fact it is BYOB and you can drink beer while playing putt putt is pretty awesome too!

Best and cheapest way to have fun in Austin, if you’re wanting to do something that doesn’t involve swimming. Constantly going to try and up my game, without much luck. Not to mention … it’s BYOB, obviously one of the main attractions here. I wish the parking situation was a little better, however, it’s much more relaxing to go on a not-​so-​busy week night, anyways. If you’re feeling nostalgic: get a sno cone!

If you’re looking for a fantastic cheap date spot in Austin look no further, Peter Pan is great for kids and adults.
If you’re over 21 and you loved mini golf growing up this is your place!!! It’s BYOB and a fantastic first or second date spot as you can keep it casual with libations. It’s also great for families, but if you’re going on a Friday or Saturday night expect to see drinks flowing at each hole.

i can putt-​putt through giant fantasy animals while drinking canned beer (that i BYOBed), all for $ 9?! come on, dude.
if you’re okay with tolerating some rambunctious chil’rens (booze helps, btw), then this is a super fun, cheap adult outing just waiting to be had. the courses are challenging and lend themselves to friendly competition. i always enjoy myself when i go.
i’d add a star if they would install some of those fancy pants spritzer fans for the height of the sun times.

Super great time for adult quality fun. Kid fun too. But if you enjoy a nice friendly competition of some austin art putt putt, byob, and lots of laughs then this place is great.
I love coming here whether it’s with friends, family, or a significant other. The experience is one of a kind. I think my favorite is the «hard course». It’s not exactly the most intensely difficult course but all the more fun.
Parking can be kind of a challenge if you drive a truck. The parking lot is small. However there is more parking along the street or neighborhoods.
Also cash only so make sure you bring a solid $ 10 per person just to be sure you’re covered.

We had friends from out of town here for a few days and thought it would be fun to do something different and have an adult only day of mini golf! We have driven past this place multiple times while out and about downtown, so I was excited to finally check them out.
We went before noon on a Friday and had it mostly to ourselves. The first thing I noticed was that the prices are great! They have two courses with 18 holes each (East and West) and it’s $ 9 a person if you want to play both or $ 6 a person for just one. For kids it’s $ 4 for one or $ 7 for both. That price includes the ball and club rental and it’s even BYOB! (No glass bottles though). For refreshments they offer soda, bottled water, and multiple sno cone flavors for $ 1 each. Be sure to bring cash though because they don’t accept credit/​debit cards. They do have an ATM on site in case you forget.
I liked that each hole featured a handmade sculpture which I thought was so appropriately Austin. We were even lucky enough to see an artist there sculpting a new one that was a replica of the capital. It’s fun because each hole brings a new obstacle to overcome and some are downright impossible. (Seriously guys, the one with the bridge?! I’d like to see the person who can make a hole in one on that!!) ;-)
Not having played mini golf since I was a teenager, it was very nostalgic and we all had a blast. We did both courses and took a shaded break in between to grab a drink and tally the scores. I won the first round (probably because East was the easier course), but I still got to hold that over my husband so it all worked out.
I imagine the one downside here is parking. For us it wasn’t an issue, but their lot is quite small so I bet during popular hours or a child’s birthday party it’s best to carpool if you can.
With it being spring, the bees were out in full force yesterday too. They must really like the type of flowers they plant along the courses because there were about 3 – 4 of them buzzing around each of us at a time. If you are allergic you may want to wait and go in the summer, or bring your Epipen.
Whether you bring the kids or come to day drink and have a friendly competition, any age will have fun here. This is our new go to for out of towners, especially since it’s also close to other sites like South Congress.

This place was probably all the rage in the 70’s, but it almost seems like it stayed in the 70’s. Despite being «refreshed» a while back, the whole place just feels old and worn. Sure, it’s still fun to play, but I just wish they would give this place a real makeover. Two courses, concessions, and a good location make it a hot spot. Usually pretty packed.
Parking is minimal, and jams up easily. Not perfect, but fun to visit occasionally.
