Everything is really yummy here! I like the sandwiches.

I got Jose’s BLTA and it was sooooo good! I would give my sandwich a 5-star BUT the food was wayyyyy overpriced. Because of the price I averaged out to the 4-star rating. My husband and I got 2 sandwiches with chips and a drink each(they don’t have prices of chips or drinks on the menu anywhere). It came out to almost $ 32! My jaw dropped when he told me the total.

After a long morning of water activities, we came across this little café walking around in our swim suits, and being a die-hard fan of avocados, I just knew I had to try this. Unfortunately, I don’t exactly recall what I ordered but it was on the list of specials; I think it was the«Bryce’s Cheezy Melt» with mayo, cheddar, ham, pepperoni, and of course, avocado! This toasted sandwich was just the thing to hit the spot after swimming all morning. Not at all stingy with the amount of avocado(which many places are guilty of) and a good sized portion for a healthy lunch. My girlfriend got the Turkey Club which was pretty good(but mine was better). Simply put, for all your sandwich and avocado needs, Avocado Café’s got you covered. Overall — 4⁄5

I got the Dole Whip for my birthday for free. I think the guy was kind of not that happy though about it, which was weird for me, because the first place where I went to get the free birthday coffee was like«Happy Birthday! Here’s the coffee!» This guy seemed like he had been coerced into giving me something. Eeeeks. I liked getting Dole Whip for free, but I wish he had been friendlier about it. I also did order a sandwich, HB Avo Original, and it was pretty slow. Thankfully we weren’t in a rush so we didn’t mind. It seems like he is the only person working there. I can see this being bothersome if you have somewhere to go. The sandwich itself tasted good and was plenty for me to share. Thumbs up for that. 3.5 stars

Excellent food. A lite, healthy yet filling menu of sandwiches and salads. We ordered the Georges Breaky Bistro breakfast wrap and it was great. The juices were also delicious. Will return.

I asked about the ingredients in the Dole Whip and they were a bit rude and dismissive. I just googled the ingredients and the Dole Whip contains a number of ingredients that are harmful to your health. PINEAPPLE Sugar, Dextrose, Stabilizers(Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Locust Bean Gum, Guar Gum, Karaya Gum, Pectin), Coconut Oil, Contains 2% Or Less Of Each Of The Following: Maltodextrin, Citric Acid, Natural & Artificial Flavor(contains Pineapple Juice Powder), Modified Food Starch, Malic Acid, Beta Carotene(Color), Mono & Diglycerides, Silicon Dioxide(Anticaking).

Could not pass up the opportunity to have dole whip! The turkey wrap was wonderful. Spinach wrap, avocado, bacon. Yum! The girl behind the counter was super sweet. Delivered our food on the patio and checked up on us. Definitely an awesome lunch spot!

I had the breakfast burrito, while the fiancé ordered the breakfast sandwich. Mine was better :). I think this place is a bit better than the other nearby diners. The prices are reasonable for what you get, and you won’t leave feeling like you’re gonna get the ittis. I wish I had a place like this close by.

The food was just okay but the service was terrible. The woman working had a poor attitude towards us and continued to take over 10 minutes getting our to-go order to us with no one in line before or after us. Whatever happened to good customer service? Or even a faked smile to try to keep up a good appearance? If you want average food with a bad attitude, this is the place to be.

This place is great. Authentic and original, nothing«chain» about it. The dole whip is an absolute must and so are the breakfast burritos. Owner runs the store and is very sweet.

Service wasn’t very friendly and the café was dirty even though we stopped by in the morning. The smoothie we got was good but $ 7! I don’t think it was worth $ 7 but it is Catalina after all. I probably won’t come back.

DOLEWHIP! If you are in Catalina and you love Dole Whip, then you definitely want to stop by here. I don’t recommend the Dole Whip Float in pineapple juice though, not sure what brand of pineapple just they used, but it was more bitter than sweet so it ruined the flavor. I did try their turkey club panini which was pretty good for a sandwich. For a quick and cheap bite, definitely recommend this place, plus it’s pretty healthy.

I ordered the turkey BLT and a salad. When I received my sandwich it didn’t have the sprouts or the bacon. They said they were out of them. It would have been nice to know when I ordered the sandwich since I was getting it specifically for the sprouts. As a kid I fell in love with the turkey sandwiches with sprouts they sold at the no longer on the island, Lori’s Good Stuff. The salad didn’t come with dressing, because they were out of that too. Not cool.

If you’re on Catalina island and would like to grab a quick bite, this is the place to go. I like their sandwiches: fresh, good tasting, and does not shed a small fortune. Make a phone call to order first. They are always busy and the wait can be beyond the expectation.

This place gets a solid three stars for me. After a morning of diving, I was hungry but in the mood for something healthy & stumbled upon the café with a friend. I was temped by all the options and variety of veggie based sandwiches & smoothies. They even claimed to have Dole Whip! After looking at the menu for a few minutes, I was eyeing one of their smoothies. I’m not a huge fan of bananas and asked if I could substitute them for strawberries. To my surprise he said no with no explanation. I saw all a counter full of frozen fruit and someone else making smoothies pulling additional frozen fruit from their refrigerator. When I asked why it wasn’t possible, he couldn’t articulate why it wasn’t possible and finally said that yes, he could make the switch. Having worked for a smoothie/milkshake business for years, I know that swapping our one type of fruit for another is as simple as it sounds, takes about two seconds, and was ultimately happy they were able to accommodate. The smoothie was great, refreshing and exactly what I wanted. Since I wasn’t all that pleased with the service I doubt I’ll be back but nice to know that it’s an option while staying on Catalina.

First of all, when offering a pickle, potato chips, or salad as a side, maybe don’t give a ¼ of a pickle. Just saying. Also, the website prices are at least $ 2 cheaper than the Avalon store. The man working on Sunday, 6⁄7 @ 6:45pm, said it’s because of different owners. But the website lists Avalon & Irvine. Does that mean each store has different prices? Kinda shady if you ask me.

This is a nice option for a fresh, healthy lunch on Catalina. The sandwiches are pretty big with lots of toppings that seemed fresh… as they should be for $ 12.00…I’d give it more stars for quality but the price was on the steep side, even taking the Catalina mark-up into account. The menu posted outside said this price included a side, but the guy behind the counter wanted to charge us extra for it until we pointed out what it said on the posted menu. There were a couple little tables outside but it was worth the short walk to the beach to eat our lunch with a nice view of the harbor.

I found Avocado café thanks to Unilocal on a recent trip to Catalina. It is a small shop with only a few tables. I recommend getting your order to go and find a nice view at the beach. We had the turkey club and got a side of fruit for $ 12. They tried to say it was an extra $ 1 for the side but it says on the window a sandwich and side for $ 12 so beware. The sandwich is packed with turkey and the bacon is very tasty. It’s just a bit too expensive to be five stars with Café Metroplole around the corner. Avocado café is a nice rare healthy option in Catalina and should be on your lunchtime radar.

Yummmmm, they have dole whip here! You can either get just a dole whip or a dole whip float which comes with pineapple juice. Super refreshing on a hot day in Catalina. The dole whip tastes exactly the same as the one you get at Disneyland. The only downside is that it’s a little more expensive than Disneyland’s dole whip.

The customer service in this spot was amazing! The crew was so helpful. The menu had alot of healthy yummy choices. I had the turkey wrap on spinach and omg I took the first bite and it was just like heaven in my mouth! I split my wrap with my mom she ordered a tuna avocado salad that was oh so amazing as well. I would definitely would come back and eat here. The dole whip was so delicious reminded me of Disneyland
