Wow. We just had the best date night at the best sushi spot ever. Greg is so talented and creative. The whole fish preparation is the way to go! Tons of variety, fantastic fish and fresh ingredients-we were so impressed! Thanks for the wonderful memory.

Hooked was our favorite meal in Beaver Creek, and one of our favorites of our entire week-long Colorado trip. We went for happy hour, and despite the fact that when we called they said that happy hour was on the patio only, it was pouring when we got there, so the manager(owner) agreed to offer happy hour prices inside. This made us happy so we ordered basically all of the happy hour rolls(only four pieces).and the shredder roll twice! They also make some damn good French fries(we had the garlic!). My husband ordered fish which came out very undercooked. He has never in his life sent fish back, but had to, as it seemed unsafe to eat. The waitress was extremely apologetic, explaining that this was their first day open for the season, and I new(and perfectly-cooked!) dish came out very quickly. Delicious drinks, too! Would definitely go back, though it’s not cheap.

I can’t believe I waited this long to post a review for Hooked. My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our meal here. Came for lunch with his family after skiing. I a small salad with poached lobster and a cucumber wrapped riceless roll with an assortment of fish and avocado. Both the salad and the roll were exceptionally fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had a couple pieces of tuna nigiri(he said probably the best he has had) and some sort of spicy sauteed shrimp, which he was a big fan of. Needless to say, we will be back here next time we visit Beaver Creek. However, because the place is small and is central to the resort, I highly recommend calling in advance.

Definitely an experience! Whole fish — prepared to your liking and a great wine pairing list. Make reservations early — small establishment

I absolutely love the food and the sushi chefs at Hooked! I am a local and we frequent Hooked often, but the reservation staff needs an attitude adjustment! They are incredibly rude. If you can over look the staff you will have an amazing food experience!

Best prices are at happy hour, avoid this place for dinner, certainly overpriced for the portion size. You are paying for the experience. Server was very nice and knew about celiac disease bad seriousness of it. That was much appreciated. It’s great for tourists. Locals and Denver day trippers go for happy hour!

We ordered the Rainbow Roll and the avocado on it was browned and seemingly not fresh. The burger, however, was delightful and a great value at $ 10.

Definitely 4 stars on food, but 1 star on service. Hostess is by far the rudest, most abrasive person I have come across at a restaurant, 1 waitress was very nice but wouldn’t explain much, 1 waiter was aloof. Food tasted amazing — ceviche and amberjack — but it all came out at once instead of spaced out as I ordered it. Untimed meals. The experience was mediocre… need to bring service up to food level

Awesome place and chef Greg hooked it up. We chose our fish and left it to the chef to decide how to prepare it. It was amazing and if you’re heading to Beaver Creak, definitely stop in here and check the Hooked experience!

We had an amazing meal here in 2015 Definitely 5 stars and we booked ahead for 2016. Unfortunately our next meal was substandard for the $ 165/person price tag. We ordered 2 whole fish to feed 6 and allowed the chef to choose the preparations. Instead of receiving the raw preparations first, such as sashimi. sushi and ceviche, we ended up staring at 2 flash fried fish One of them had a raw head(not by design). The raw preparations were then haphazardly thrown on our table during the rest of service. Eating raw fish with cooked fish is not a pleasant experience and we expected a timed orderly progression of food. Instead we were rushed through the meal that cost $ 900. Willing to pay that much if every dish is made with love, but most of these dishes were bland, and were obviously made by the numbers . Will not be going back again.

Sushi and drinks were great! Ordered a 4 lb whole fish For five of us, sushi chef made us a ceviche, cooked fish, sashimi and most unbelievable rolls we’ve ever had all prepared from the whole fish. Zack the sushi chef defiantly hooked us up.

Loved Hooked. We ordered great drinks. Cosmos for the ladies, wonderful house Manhattan good beer selection for the guys. We ordered the whole fish. Ours was a very rare Japanese snapper called a Kimi do. Deep water snapper. Was really buttery. The great thing was the chef prepared 4 types of sashimi, civichy and then did half the fish broiled. It was well worth the money.

I went to this place twice. I came the second time to see why everyone raves about it thinking I must have missed something. I still don’t get it. The first time we split several rolls. They were small, too much bad rice and not enough fish for mega bucks. The rice was like the kind you get at the grocery store. The second time was a little better. We had kampachi nigiri which was ok. Fish didn’t melt in my mouth and it was the same rice. Then we had the amberjack made Szechuan style which lacked Szechuan taste but the fish was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed it after adding a little salt. It was warm and satisfying. It didn’t come with anything on the side and was a little expensive for what you received. We also had a great bowl of clam chowder with lots of big pieces of clam in the bowls. Yummy! They have a great beer menu. Go for beer and chowder.

Stopped here for a quick bite in between skiing. Located right in the heart of Beaver Creek village. Very interesting menu the way they prepare their fish. Please see the pictures. I just had a spicy tuna roll which was very good but definetely will come back for the fish. The girls servers were very friendly, attentive and fast service.

We randomly stumbled upon this place. From the front it looks totally unassuming. Our minds were totally blown. This was one of the best meals I have eaten in a very long time. 1 Fresh Fish, served in 3 creative and delicious ways. Absolutely mind blowing!

Great food and service. The fried shrimp was expertly prepared. The pork belly rice was unbelievably good. They also prepare whole fish and sushi. Great beer and wines.

Friday March 20th2015. Time 18:10hrs ish We did not have any reservations, hence we have to «settle» to seat at the BAR, outside this establishment. In terms of PRICING its WAYWAYOVER-PRICEDDUE to the fact of its Location, aka«Touristy» AREA… In terms of Quality of Food, they can do better. While waiting, we get the chance to view the LIVETELECAST of the Sushi Chefs at this establishment from the TV Screen outside. From what I could recall we ordered these : * Dynamite Shrimp Nachos($ 16.00) I also have these for my Dinner : * Ebi Nigiri(Black Tiger Shrimp)($ 10.00) * Kani Nigiri(Snow Crab)($ 16.00) * Hotate Gai Nigiri(Scallop)($ 12.00) The Nigiri comes with 3 pieces each. If I am NOT mistaken, my friend ordered the Matrix($ 20.00) for her Main Entrée. The MATRIX consists of Tempura Shrimp, Dungeness Cab, Spicy Tuna, Avocado, Cucumber and Sauce Collage. My friend said her Main Entrée Dinner was OK, though she agreed its NOT Wowing her as much. The HIGHLIGHT Dish, I enjoyed was the Dynamite Shrimp Nachos. Who can messed up something FRIED and something«SPICY», right? YES, its DEFINITELY tiny portions. my MAINENTREE Nigiri that I order its like eating«appetizers» on a small portion control. *SIGH* This SUSHI establishment is indeed OVER-HYPED, OVER-RATED and hence they can«OVER-CHARGED» Everyone… **DOUBLESIGH** YES, its INDEED a SPLURGE to dine at HOOKED Beaver Creek. Aww, HOOKED Beaver Creek, you really tear my heart and my «pocket books» into pieces… Indeed I am so torn, coz I left this establishment HUNGRY… *SADFACEINDEED* My apologies for this rant! Been here a couple of times. I’d say it’s mediocre at best. We have only had the sushi though, never a whole fish. I would not recommend the miso soup, nor the avocado. Service is very friendly though.
