Great place for a drink a some bar/pub food. Everything I have tried on the menu is very good. The service is always friendly and professional. They seem to have a lot of regulars which is always a good sign. Definitely check this place out!

Only rating the bar– stopped in one night with a friend for a couple quick drinks. We loved our bartender and the drinks were great. Some people, believe it or not, can’t handle a basic margarita. I’ve been served some poor excuses for a margarita but I remember their margarita was spot on & absolutely took care of the craving that I walked in there with. We’ll be back when looking for another laid back spot to catch up with a friend. Also LOVE the outdoor patio area.

Went today for Boozy Brunch. Service was good and got a table right away. We both got the bottomless drinks and brunch entrees. I was excited to get the Captain Crunch French Toast(I’ve had it at other places). Well I was disappointed. It was suppose to come with berries but they were out, I didn’t know that until after it came and I asked for the berries. It was very bland without. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs; both his eggs and steak were over cooked. The drinks came with more and more juice after 2. Not sure if we would go back.

Three stars for the bar, and a half star for the restaurant. Every time I’ve gone for the bar, I’ve gotten my drinks quickly, the music has been great, and the bar appetizers are extremely tasty. As for the restaurant, I’ve only been for Sunday brunch and it was not a good experience. Mainly because there were two tables(total) in the entire restaurant and our brunch for 4 lasted 2.5 hours long. The service was beyond bad. I tried the chicken and waffles which sadly let me down. The seasoning on the chicken was non-existent, the chicken was cold, and the oil it was fried in was not at the correct temperature because the breading was falling off. The waffle had good taste to it; so much so that it overpowered the taste of fried chicken… Overall, I hate to knock a place for service, but it was a very bad experience coupled with sub-par food. Definite recommendation though for a good night of drinking either inside or on their spacious patio.

Have been going here for years. Love their menu, and beer selection is fairly good. Their pulled pork mac-n-cheese is incredible. We love their outdoor eating area during warmer weather. Always a first choice for a work get together or small private party as well.

Overpriced, mediocre food. I’ve been here a couple times and always the same deal. $ 13.50 for a steak and cheese sandwich? It was approximately 6 inches long, cut on a slant. Described as having peppers, onions and cheese, it came out dry bland ciabatta looking bread with no peppers, onions and barely any cheese. Whoever is cooking this needs to go to Joey Garlic’s in Farmington and get a Philly Cheese grinder to compare. Joey’s is $ 10.99, almost 3 times the size and awesome. Everything else on Lyme Grill menu is overpriced as well. I know this is Avon but come on now people. You can’t charge Bricco prices and deliver crap food. Half of their food is frozen for sure. About the only nice thing about this place is the outdoor seating and view of Hublein.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Light traffic for the place. Ordered the Taco salad and steak and cheese. Per the photos, I think that a little more could be done with both. The taco salad was pretty bla along with the steak and cheese. This is a mediocre at best grinder and will not find myself ordering it again. They kick butt on burgers but both of these specific dishes were nothing to write home about.

I REALLY like their happy hour specials here! The food is delicious and the prices very reasonable. Patio is really nice to enjoy in the summer!

SUPERPRICEY for a bar. If you go with one other person order drinks and food plan on spending $ 50+… Food is delicious though! Waitstaff is very friendly and this is the only place(that I know of) that is open in the valley every day past midnight, which is AWESOME, considering I work late every night. Environment is great on weekends and definitely a place to go to during the summer with the great patio they have!

Decent selection of beers on tap and the menu isn’t bad either. The outside area is pretty nice, they’ve got a sweet fire pit and plenty of seats. The only downer is that the bar tenders pretty much ignore you at bar. Everytime I come in even when there are open seats at the bar they don’t pay attention to new customers, let alone make eye contact with you. Was handed a menu and it took a while for the guy to come back and asked what I wanted. Not sure why they’d not be quick to someone who’s gonna buy food, which brings up the tip. Left my card their that night, came back the next morning to find they ran the card through already and didn’t have a receipt for me. So I have no idea what the total was and how much someone tipped them self, found that to be a little sketchy. Teaches me to bring cash out with me. I’ll still go back, the wings were good and the outside is sweet, but I won’t expect much in terms of service.

I’ve been here several times since my original review. This place can frustrate me at times because, as good as it is, it really could be even better. Case in point: We had a lovely dinner out on the outdoor patio — which is one of the finest places to eat outside in the Farmington Valley. A view of Heublein Tower on a nice evening is fabulous. The music is playing. All good. Except, why did it take 25 minutes for the apps to come out? Or to get sugar for an iced tea? It wasn’t crowded and it wasn’t complicated — wings and calamari. Again, the wings and calamari were terrific. Good quality meat and squid. But it took a while to get it. Main course also came out after a wait too. Again, it was quite good — cobb salad was enough to feed 3 people, for example. Is the kitchen working on perfection? Or were there too many takeout orders holding things up? So, if this place wants to earn a fifth star, it needs to work on the service and speed. The quality is great and the décor/atmosphere is wonderful on these summer nights. Just don’t screw up something good!

Came here after a search for a lunch place while waiting for our mini Schnauzer to finish his trip to the doggie salon. Lime Grill is tucked on top of a hill amid the many shoppes in the Riverdale Farms shopping center on rte. 10 in Avon. Althugh their sign boasts opening at noon, I walked up a few minutes prior and it was evident that it was open a bit earlier, as two patrons already were enjoying themselves at the bar. I sat down a few stools away, enough for autonomous iPhoning, but close enough to carry on friendly conversation. The bar area was done over in dark woods, with a view on the left of Avon Mountain, and four flat-screen TVs behind the bar. Comfy. Right away I noticed they had Lagunitas IPA on draught… I knew it would be a good experience.(They also carried Beack East Ale, a local favorite from Bloomfield) I perused the menu, which was not laden with many many choices, still enough diversity to satisfy most, with a good lean on apps, salads and bar food. One thing that intrigued me, though I didn’t try them, was a signature creation called Bocce Balls — fried dough stuffed with sasuage and ricotta. May be next time, but this time I chose Buffalo wings and their special burger of the day, the American Burger, a ½ lb. beauty laid upon white toast, with lettuce, tomato and American cheese. The burger was succulent, cooked to a near-perfect medium. The bread on burger was a bit reminiscent of the famous Big Beef of Friendly’s fame, although this rendition was far superior. The wings were good-sized, grilled, and dressed in a good, but not great, buffalo sauce. The accompanying blue cheese dressing was 2⁄3 chunks. Here’s where I go a bit on a tangent… if you’re giving somebody dressing for dipping, give them dressing, not chunks. Also, each chunk was about the same size and cubic shape, which leads me to believe it was a less expensive commercial brand. I didn’t stay for dessert(exept a second IPA) because my Zeus was due from Doggie dos. Suffice it to say I had a good lunch, albeit a bit on the pricier side, with 2 draughts, a burger and wings coming to just over $ 35. We’ll try this spot again for dinner, maybe in the dining room, and maybe when not pressured by picking up our pooch. Overall it was a good experience. The bartender was friendly, eager to please, and ketp attention on the tables in the bar as they filled over the course of the lunch period.

Went back last night and had a very nice experience. Although we chose to eat inside, we were offered an outdoor spot– the patio was crowded, the weather was very nice, and the singer guitarist(whose music was piped inside) was quite gifted. We ordered an artichoke dip and pita toasts($ 9) as an appy, and our dinner choices were a Cobb Salad($ 11), a classic hamburger($ 11), and Michael’s Brick Roasted Half Chicken($ 16). The service was attentive and friendly. Our meals were all very good, the portion sizes were generous, and our server scaled a dining room chair to manually surf through hundred of Direct TV stations for us, so we could watch the Yankee game. My Cobb salad was very good– nice grilled chicken cubes, crumbles of blue cheese, with fresh lettuce, tomato and crisp bacon pieces. I took home plenty. My Black and Blue(Guiness and Blue Moon) was excellent. They have a nice Happy Hour from 3:00 — 6:00 on Monday to Friday. Millers or Buds for $ 3, wines for $ 5, and a whole bunch of $ 3 Bar Bites– Jalapeño Poppers, Bocce Balls, Fried Mozz, wings, nachos, and 4 kinds of fries.

The drinks were pretty good but the menu was small not much variety. I order a pizza with mozzarella, tomatoes and fried eggs. The pizza like a frozen pizza, cheap. The fried eggs were so undercooked that the whole egg was liquid after leaving my stomach was upset and nauseated.
