The wait staff is always nice, not the most polished but its not what they are going for. This is a small authentic Italian restaurant. Don’t come with 10 people and don’t order cheap. They have a nice menu that is updated frequently enough. Don’t be surprised if the family who runs the business sits down to eat and talk loudly while you are finishing up.

Cannot for the life of me figure out just why the ratings for this resturant are so low. This is a GEM. Small, intimate, and the food is fabulous. The service has always been great. The place is clean and quaint. Please give this an honest try.

I like this place, its quaint, classic and they actually know how to treat a veal cutlet. Plus they have nice cannolis. being from Brooklyn, we find it difficult to find decent Italian food, but fuggetabouditt, this place is nice.

Came here the first time and got the focaccia firenze. It was delicious. However, if you’re looking for the perfect salad, this should be your number one go to if you’re in the Babylon area. The warm spinach salad is to die for!

Wow! I have never had such a bad experience in a restaurant. I’ll start with the food. Mediocre at best and I’m being kind. But, the real problem is the manager. My wife ordered fish with«little» sauce. The dish came out drenched in sauce. My wife told the waitress(the waitresses are very sweet) who took back the dish. She came back within a minute with the same piece of fish. They had just drained some of the sauce from the plate. The fish was still soaked in sauce. We sent it back. The manager came over. Very unfriendly. She told my wife she had not ordered correctly. Unbelievable! So we waited and waited for the new fish to come out. By the time the rest of us were finished with our meals, the fish still had not come out. My wife told the waitress that she did not want her dish. The manager told us that«you wasted two pieces of my fish». No concern or understanding that they ruined the first dish and the second dish never came out. I have never experienced service like that. Then the manager still charged us for a side salad because my wife had eaten her salad. To make things worse she added up the bill wrong. She overcharged us by $ 10. She never came over, but the waitress told us that the manager was sorry. Sure she was sorry and sure she didn’t do it intentionally. Which brings us to the final problem. This restaurant is ridiculously overpriced(one example is $ 7 for a double expresso), especially for the subpar food they serve. I feel so sorry for the very nice waitresses who are serving horrible food and dealing with a terrible manager, but STAYAWAY! So many other choices just in Babylon and close by.

Went with a party of 10 and thw service was very slow for a small place that was half empty. The food was very pricey but not very good. We had calamari and shrimp which was just ok, and there spicy ca lamari which was soggy. The food was better but nothing so special. I had the chicken marsala and it was good but the slow service and very pricey items made it a not so great experience.

I have ate here before and had good food but a very bad experience yesterday. First off it’s a true family Italian restaurant, if you’re there until end of service you can see the family sitting eating together which I love. I would never ever recommend the baked clams, they are probably less than ½ inch around each very smal and served with a delicious sauce but the quality of clams is so poor is cancels that out. Also sauce is in a cheesy plastic cup, invest in a small glass bowl probably 50 cents each. Had a pretty good shrimp dish but I do not recommend the mushroom ravioli. My real complaint is regarding the wine suggestions which were both terrible and prices. This place is too expensive for the quality of food. Unfortunately for them I have to say la famiglia in Babylon is much much better

I thought this place is extremely overpriced for the portions you are given. Thankfully we had a gift certificate so only $ 30 came out of my pocket. It isa well know fact that Italian restaurants give you very generous portions. We ordered takeout and thankfully all fof us ordered our own meals. My husband ordered Alfredo with chicken and the dish was less then half full. An order of fried calamari was about 15 pieces. Definitely would not recommend this place. I read some of these reviews and best pasta in Babylon totally disagree. Décor of the restaurant was cute but that’s about all the good I could say.

Very tasty italian food. The food comes out super hot, which I love. Grilled salmon salad never disappoints. They have the best house dressing ever!

Gluten free aware. Have typical penne and are thinking of making gluten free bread. Pastas dishes were awesome. We started with fried calamari that was butter tender and cooked perfectly. Nice marinara. The clams mare chiarra were amazing. We spooned up the broth! Farfalle with bolognese was so rich. You could taste the depth of flavors and the cooking time. The GF penne had chicken, and broccoli rabe, and sun-dried tomatoes in garlic and oil. The pasta was a tiny bit under done but not badly. We shared a wonderful brunello d’alba from Sicily. GF brownie was tasty but served in the plastic wrap to make sure we knew it was GF. Once we thought about it, it made sense. We will definitely return to try the other pasta dishes.

Came here during restaurant week. Was disappointed to see that it was basically just their normal pre-fixe. The soup was really good, and nice for a snowy day. Food was decent, nothing spectacular. Only having one choice for dessert didn’t make me that happy, but it was a damn good cannoli.

Went there with a friend who had a gift certificate so did not want to go too pricey-ordered off the pre fix menu. The bread was cheap italian from probably local supermarket. Had a salad that was good, not knowing I then could not get PASTA with my chicken parmesan which was aweful! It tasted like a cheap frozen chicken pattie covered in canned tomato sauce with burnt cheese on top. I missed having pasta with my meal. I found this really cheap of them. My dessert choice was a cannoli or Italian cheesecake. I chose the cheesecake to give to my husband and friend who were more interested in dessert than I. Interesting — they were out of the Italian cheesecake but would not substitute«cheesecake» they did have!!! My husband rated his meal as LOUSY too. The bill was unbelievably high for such lousy food. I do not understand how this place stays in business!

Came here after my bad experience at Armadillo Grill.(Very much looking forward to writing THAT review) The food here is pretty good, and the décor is cute, but I wasn’t exactly blown away by anything I had, save for the edible Orchids that they decorate your plate with. THAT is pretty damned cool. I got eggplant rolatini, and my wife got chicken and mushrooms in a lemon wine butter sauce. Both were SERVICEABLE, but nothing that you wouldn’t get at any other local italian place(pizzaiola, café gio, mama’s, etc.) and it was pretty pricey considering.

Excellent and authentic pasta dishes. Ihad a farfalle pasta with prosiutto, peas and mushrooms in a light pink sauce and my husband had a tortellini with peas in a light cream sauce. Our friend had a baked eggplant dish which had layers of spinach and cheese which he said was very good. The service was very attentive. I had the house Cabernet which was good. However, muy waitress was not knowledgeable about the house wines, my only complaint. She did not know the name of the house cabernet nor did she know where it was from. Bottom Line: CW– CAN’T WAIT to go back.

Best pasta in Babylon. Great, large menu. You’ll have a hard time making a decision on what to order. Only issue is they never seem to have tiramisu. Fix that and I’ll give them 5 stars.
