Fells Point Cleaners

I have been going here for 2 years and during that time, a shirt has gone missing and two shirts have been ruined, and pants that I had hemmed by them unraveled within a week. After going regularly (at least once a month) the owner still did not recognize me and treated me like a stranger every time I walked through the door with the only greeting, «phone number?» Unfriendliness aside, it was the closest cleaner so I continued to give them my business. However, the line was drawn when I picked up a color checkered dress shirt to find that the collar had been discolored as if exposed to bleach. I brought the shirt to the owner, Sam, and asked what might have happened to the collar. He avoided eye contact, and a frustrating conversation ensued that kept going in circles. He denied that he or his washers were responsible for the color change and there was no satisfactory resolution– he was unable to explain what might have happened and did not offer any sympathy or apology needless to say store credit or an offer to rewash the shirt and see if anything could be done. I will take my business elsewhere.

I looked high & low for a recommended & decent tailor to hem a bridesmaid dress. After speaking to a few who were either too pricey, unavailable or needed long lead times, I was so utterly pleased with Fells Point Cleaners. Sam & his wife Koo were charming and kind. Sam was able to see me quickly, offered a reasonable price and had the dress ready same day! The finished alteration was exactly what I was looking for. Happy to have them in the neighborhood!

This update is a review of their tailoring service. I decided to try a couple of different tailors to see how they did with taking in a dress shirt and Fells Point Cleaners did a very reasonable job for only $ 15. The other tailor I tried seemed to take my measurements more carefully but he also charged twice as much and I don’t think the final results were noticeably different. I would definitely recommend this business if you need simple alterations done.

This place is my go to for dry cleaning in Baltimore. It’s family owned and the cute old man and his wife do everything by hand. You can have same day service and everything is done right.
I’ve had everything from formal dresses to holes in sweaters repaired here with no problems.
They get out serious stains easily.
They have shoe repair that goes out/​comes in Thursday to Thursday. I’ve had heels and boots repaired with no problems.
This is the only place I’ll go in the city.

What happened to this place? This was my go to Dry Cleaners for years when I was in grad school and it was always great.
I recently returned years later and the place was a wreck, there was no little Korean lady to offer me blessings from Jesus and my shirts came back smelling like moth balls/​goodwill (twice).

Super convenient location and very friendly service. It did cost $ 10 to get a dress cleaned but maybe that is normal now (I don’t frequent dry cleaners often). Very quick service and the owners are very sweet.

the best dry cleaner in the area. I spilled wine on my beloved tan wool coat and brought it to a few other cleaners who said they wouldnt be able to take it out. I took it to Fells Point Cleaner and the coat came back like new. They also fix misc issues like missing buttons, tears in pants, wool mittens from nepal that were coming undone for a low price or sometimes even without charging. Great couple runs the place, very friendly and honest.

They are awesome. Great work, great prices, and prompt. Plus nice, courteous people. I heart them.

I like this place for the convenient location and quick turnaround. Last time they fixed an eye hook on a dress w/​o me asking or charging me for it, so that was a huge plus. You may get a dose of Jesus with your dry cleaning but it’s all in good humor.
