It wasn’t busy so we were able to sit right away. The service was excellent, drinks were mixed right, food came out quick, and the food was great. I’d recommend this place to anyone going to the area. They have games that you can play and tvs everywhere.

The place was very empty so I thought that was a bad sign. I prefer the Ribs they were pretty good I must say. The service was good just I think it was way overpriced for the kind of restaurant it is. I would go back with lower prices but not what they are today.

Staying at the Kalahari we thought we would try it. Friday night, totally dead. Not a good sign at all… But we were hungry. Ribs were great… But the rest of the food was not worth it. Bill was over $ 100 for 2 kids and 2 adults. Not worth it.

I’ve been here a couple times. There is a dining room area which is family friendly; folks in the bar area are sometimes having a trashy contest amongst themselves, so less family friendly. There are cute displays of Wisconsin historical facts on the walls; I’d like to check them all out sometime. Beer list is okay. There are few of Wisconsin’s really top-end beers on the list, but I’m sure the list is designed to please your average resort-goer rather than someone who is seeking out exceptional beers. Service is decent. Burgers are good. Beer cheese soup… well, it is like someone spitting into your mouth, except there are cubes of canned ham in it. Almost inedible. I notice that a handful of Unilocalers claim to like this soup. I’ve also seen people drinking Listerine out of the bottle, and you can trust me that that is disgusting, too.

Service was great. Holly was our waitress and she was attentive, and very friendly. Onion straws we yummy. I had the apple, chicken salad, I would have to say it’s one of the best salads I have had in a restaurant. A bit pricey but when you don’t want to leave the resort due to wind chill temps –15 and its February, will have to do.

Decent food. Took forever to get a table then took forever to get served. If you have the patience to sit and wait the food is decent enough.

Pretty decent for what is basically a resort sports bar. Good beer list — several local brews on tap. I had a burger and the roast beef sandwich on two occasions. Both were good — the roast beef was particularly good. I think in general the sandwiches and apps are good choices, doubt this is the place to experiment with the menu.

Great Food, adequate service, waiter was decent. 4⁄5 dishes were gratefully enjoyed while one was iffy. Food is somewhat pricy, but could’ve been cheaper. Most dishes did not include a side with purchase which upped the bill even more. Experience was good but could have been better.

The atmosphere of the brew pub was great. We were traveling through and tried a Wisconsin beer(Spotted Cow) that we had never had before. Great flavor! Service was good but overall the food was bad. I had a chicken salad. Salad was wilted and the chicken had a weird version of Lawrys Seasoning Salt on it(which I actually cook with at home). The appetizer we had was decent but not great. The Cajun noodle dish my husband had was the only good dish that was served.

Our party consisted of 5 people. 4 of us had excellent food, one did not. Customer Service was fantastic.

I had the pork sliders and they were fantastic! I highly recommend them. Yes, the prices are high but you are at resort. The margarita was good too.

Have eaten here several times. Food is mediocre and over priced. Service is lousy! We gave it a few tries only because the selection of beers on tap. Will not go back due to the poor service and over priced menu items!

Had the cheese beer soup. It was not bad, but nothing special either. The fried cheese curds were enjoyable. And the fish fried was very decent. The fish was fresh, and not greasy. overall the food was average.

Pros: The brandy old fashions are relatively large. The cheese are very yummy, made with real cheese. Con’s: The brandy old fashions are $ 8.50! Way over priced! The cheese curds, $ 10, for a normal portion size. The service was HORRIBLE! We had a bar tender named Tricia, she was flat out rude! She was so slow to help us, she kept walking away to talk to other bar tenders. She never actually offered to help us, we just asked for our drink after standing at the bar for 10 minutes. She was extremely rude when I didn’t order an alcoholic beverage. I will not come back to this place. I would rather drive to another establishment, even when I am staying at the Kalahari!

It’s amazing how many times I want to rate a restaurant 3 ½ stars… This is another example of this. The atmosphere is casual and upbeat and they have a good sized bar with plenty of TVs. We had a party of 15 and we used a separate room for large party’s which was nice. Our server definitely could have used some help with a party of our size because he was overwhelmed and it didn’t appear that he had been trained. He managed to spill food over one person in our party and didn’t seem to know how to handle it. The food was good and there was not much complaining. The people who ordered the prime rib had issues with the amount of fat on the prime rib. On a 16oz prime rib at least 5 ounces of fat. If I was in the area I would go back again but it wouldn’t be my first choice

The food was decent, but nothing special. My steak was overcooked. I think my biggest disappointment is that the name of the place implies that they brew their own beer. Yes, they do have a good beer selection, but I was expecting to try something I couldn’t get anywhere else, and that is not the case at all.

Convenient and delicious! Attended a conference and wasn’t keen on venturing out of the hotel for dinner. The Wisconsin Brew Pub was a great alternative. Very friendly staff and good pub food!

Fantastic food and great craft beer selection… A bit pricey but the restaurant, service and quality is top notch. Bunch of huge hi-def Tvs as well. We went twice on our short vacation to the dells.

WOW. First night at Kalahari and we decided to stop here for a quick dinner. All 4 of us were insanely surprised – not only was the food really finger-licking good, it was not expensive at all. Was it cheap? No, but for the portions and amazing food we got, it was worth every penny. Sipped on $ 2 Vodka drinks, started off with Cheese Nuggets, and ended with their Beer Battered Shrimp dish — OMG never did I think shrimp in a beer batter AND a beer cheese sauce would be good, but man, oh man it was. Super rich, but hit the spot and I loved my leftovers. Friends Fish fry was good, hubby’s burger was fantastic, and other friends mac and cheese was out-of-this-world. Really, quite a hidden gem in a resort.
