We usually go late at night while travelling through town to this location. They have the best servers and the food is excellent! Denny’s really makes you feel like you are at home having a meal. Service is quick and attentive. Can’t say enough good about the people, service and food. Wish there were more Denny’s around Iowa and Wisconsin. Coffee is excellent, by the way! Good job!

Avoid going ! I would pick McDonald’s over this run down place next time. The morning of 02⁄23 the waitress was rude to start with, the place looked very dirty & the food was awful. Our eggs were very runny, the pancakes were HARD and the toast was popped into a toaster and immediately popped back out. Our family of 5 took a few bites and then asked for the bill to leave. The waitress was again very rude and insisted we pay by only debit/credit. We paid cash and left.

Came here on Christmas Eve and it was busy but the wait was entirely too long. No one even bothered to say that it will be a while. Our family just waited and waited and waited… When we finally sat we waited again and as the waitress took our order she looked like she hated her job. Wasn’t too pleasant. More waiting and waiting for our drinks. Got 1 drink wrong. Kept waiting for our food. It was about half an hour before got our drinks and a full hour before we got our food. They might have been understaffed but the place wasn’t even full. After waiting for an hour for our food. Most of it was good except 1 order. The salmon was burnt. Overall it was not a good experience.

Wow… I haven’t been to a Denny’s in years but looking for somewhere that’s known, quick, and cost effective while up here for a kids hockey tournament with my son. Found it here. Great friendly, fast service. Jacklyn B was awesome. Would definitely stop here again. Old fashioned looking diner with a modern feel.

Very surprised with the food! Took a little while to get seated, but that’s probably because we came on a busy Fourth of July weekend, however the food was perfectly cooked! Best eggs I’ve had in a while! Thumbs up

My experience at the Denny’s diner on Wisconsin Dells parkway in Lake Delton, WI. was frustrating to say the least. Being a waitress at a diner, I’m pretty patient and don’t expect perfection but the service I received tonight was non existent. My first complaint is that the restaurant had maybe 6 or 7 tables and three servers on. Which means the two minutes we waited at the host stand to be acknowledged by the staff standing right in front of us and rolling silverware was a little much. The two of us ordered a pancake platter, pretty standard. We watched as the table of 5 that walked in after us got their food as well as the single guy who also came later. I was still fairly calm, like I said, I realize mistakes happen. Then I witnessed our server yelling at the cooks for not having our food ready. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional to do that in front of customers. After over a half hour of waiting, our food was brought hastily to our table without asking if anything else was needed. Just dropped the food and ran. I could’ve used more water and napkins but I figured she would be back soon to check in on us. Nope, never came back to check. Only at the end of our meal did we receive the bill. I wasn’t asked how the food was, it’s just bad manners. Finally when we arrive to the front register to pay, the same situation from the beginning occurred. My waitress ignored my presence while idly stacking cups. I’m sorry but side work is not the priority, the customer is. Not to mention the manager passed us twice while we waited to pay without even a glance. The food is excellent, too bad the service made sure I’ll never be back.

Two families, seven people, split check, Monday breakfast on MLK weekend. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was yummy, including the cinnamon rolls, which helpfully let you apply your own frosting to your liking. Also had, among us, corned-beef hash, pancakes, hash browns, and toast made with home made bread(not thick sliced, but worth the $.25 upcharge). It wasn’t crowded when we came, but we’d been before when it was, and still had a good experience. Cash only, and the ATM wasn’t working when we were there, so come prepared. Would recommend, and will come back again.

Cute little old fashioned place. They are cash only. Out of couple breakfasts places we tried here this one was our favorite even though service was a bit slow. Definitely coming back.

This place is terrible. First time and last time I’ll eat at this spot. I brought my son to the Dells for a short Vaca and stayed at the Atlantis Hotel where they recommended Denny’s Diner. I was excited. They claim to have«famous cinnamon rolls» so I had to order that and then ordered an omelet also. Sooooo the cinnamon roll comes out(it’s not even served with frosting on it, they give you a tiny side of refrigerated frosting). The cinnamon roll itself is bland. I was informed my omelette would be up shortly. My son is 2 and has a hard time sitting for long periods of time. The omelette arrives a few moments later and it’s wrong. I asked for extra American cheese(I specified american cheese) it came out with cheddar(which I really can’t stand on eggs) and American. I informed the server and she said she’d have them remake it. She comes back to the table and said she’s gonna have them remake it but it was just American cheese just so I know! Uhm no, I’m sorry it was not. Not only is it VERY clear BCCHEDDARDOESNTMELT and has a oily sheen to it when heated but it tastes sour. But I’ll let that go for the moment. The next omelette comes out after my son has already been sitting forever and it’s wrong, AGAIN! This time they put american cheese however it was not«extra» as originally specified. I felt the chef(I use the word loosely) did this bc he didn’t feel he should have to remake it. I took one bite and I was DONE. I grabbed the check went to the register which was no more than two tables away from where I was sitting and began to check out. I was clearly frustrated and I wasn’t asked if there was something they could do or what was wrong even though the three people that worked there stood there talking about me while I was sitting in the restaurant!!! I paid FULLPRICE for a meal that was TERRIBLE, was talked about while I was in the diner, and STILL tipped the server! Enjoy the $ 18 you took from me BC it will be the last I ever spend there. Ps here’s a small explanation as to why I still tipped my server even after such a terrible experience even if it was only two dollars. I do this for a living I train bartenders and servers. I’ve Been working in food and beverage for over 12 years so I fully understand the necessity of tipping however with this experience I feel completely ripped off!!!

2-families of 4 sat to eat breakfast before leaving the dells. Steph was our server… to start she was clearly annoyed that we wanted two separate checks. All but one order came out correct. We placed the potatoes that were not done on a plate and wait 14 mins for her to return. Asked her to have them cooked longer. Said«ill try». Seriously? If your in the mood for good homemade corn beef and hash with dusty décor and a crabby server named steph… this is the place for you… :-/

I am rating this restaurant harder than some others because I went there for breakfast, and since breakfast is hard to mess up, some of the other factors have a stronger emphasis. First, this isn’t the chain — it’s a touristy diner. I went on on Wednesday morning at 9:30, and got there just before a big rush. It took a while to place our order, and when the drinks came for the 3 of us, only 1 was brought, and it was wrong. We had a cinnamon roll(the main reason for going), and it was very good and came out quickly. We then waited awhile for our food — not terrible, but noticeable, and after going to several places in the Dells, perhaps that’s just a way of life here. They seemed very understaffed for a breakfast rush, which is what they specialize in. When our food finally came, they got one order wrong out of the 3, so it had to go back. The food itself was good — nothing particularly remarkable, but certainly good. We all had eggs — also had the biscuits & gravy. Coffee did get refilled once, but that was the only chance, as we didn’t see it again the rest of the meal. People crowed everywhere waiting when we left; definitely not worth waiting. Sign on the door says cash or checks only. Probably best just to get the cinnamon rolls to go; you can get the same breakfast with better service a million other places.

Cute little place. Friendly service. Pretty standard breakfast fare, but with homemade bread. I ordered the corned beef hash and was absolutely blown away. Absolutely the best corned beef hash I’ve ever had. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for the rest of the day. I talked about it the whole ride home. I told people about it for weeks afterward. I thought about it again today so I wrote this review. This place is NOT a chain, it’s a little mom and pop place with an unfortunately recognizable name. Eat here. Try the hash.

Food okay, waitress was super friendly and on the ball. 3 stars for the pricing. I realize this is a resort/touristy area but people associate Denny’s with good, reasonably-priced food. The food here was on average $ 2.00 higher per entrée than the one I frequent in my home state and also does not offer a $ 2/$ 4/$ 6/$ 8 menu. Not a biggie for me as I don’t normally order off of that but I know I heard people complaining about it. The food was sub par at best. And no WI-FI??? This IS2014, no?

You all know how the story goes, where are we going at the middle of the night to eat after the clubbing, at DENNYS! It works 24⁄7 so it is a great place to have some food anytime you want. That is the only place I know that works 24⁄7 at the dells! Cheeseburger, salad, sandwich, they have it all!

Just to be clear, this is the correct address and pictures for the chain Denny’s. The local one has an address of Munroe Avenue. So it had been a number of years since I frequented a Denny’s Chain. We ordered a mixture of breakfast and lunch items. They get a pass on the breakfast fare but not as good for the lunch items. The prices for lunch(sandwiches and salads) are approaching 9 dollars an item. I don’t have a problem paying that much or more but I have gotten a lot better food at that price point. Next time we are on our way through we will work a little harder to find another place.

Not what I remember from back in the day. It had been about 15yrs since I ate here, so I gave it a shot. $ 25(with tip) later for my wife and I, not happy at all. Bone dry omelette with basic hash browns. Dry burnt rye toast. Good BlackCherry Soda… Didn’t try their Cinnamon Buns, but thats what they’re known for. What can I say? You can go so many OTHER places in that area… So done with Diners after this…
