Stopped by on my way to Arizona and the place was completely empty on a Thursday night. After what took about 10 mins at the drivethru to get our food we were on our way, they burger was great, fries were extra cripsy as requested. Great job Tommys.

Second time stopping here and just love it! I never really crave chilli, so i surprised myself by falling in love with their burgers. It’s the beef steak tomatoes and peppers! Their tamales were weird… but totally work! Didnt get cheese on anything. Staff was cheerful and really nice. Bathroom was clean It’s open 24hrs and it was clean-will try a breakfast item next

OD’d on burgers this weekend. What was I thinking? Ok, on the way back to LA, here’s a stop if you just want to casually grub. I prefer the chili cheese fries just to say I’ve been to Tommy’s. There are unique combos of burgers with chili, hotdogs with chili, etc.

We always try to stop here when we’re in route to ‘Vegas or Dumont Sand Dunes. The service is always stellar, everything is a bargain, and they make your order exactly like you request. The cleanest restaurant you’ll ever find. Always super clean throughout. Only drawback is most Tommy’s are 24 hour locations, this location usually opens late in the morning for lunch then holds over for the evening traffic. So we usually miss out on their great breakfast burritos and sandwiches. The famous that travel in big motor homes to and from Las Vegas usually stop in at the Flying J Travel Stop across the street. Thus they walk over and have a Tommy’s. Not unusual to spot a celib here. This location may not open on time, and their food is usually pre-cooked and tasteless on holiday weekends, so another star off for that. French Frys are awful, boring, pre-frozen fare.

Quite an extensive menu. Everything is pretty good but the pastrami sandwiches are great. Only the Hat has better pastrami sandwiches.

I love Tommy’s. I know it isn’t exactly healthy, but there chili is amazing. Plus, their prices are so great. My family and I got a tamale, chili cheese fries, and some chili to go. We used the drive-thru and they had great service.

Mom and I were on our way to Las Vegas and there was nothing that was pretty much open except for Tommy’s and we took the chance to stop there before getting to the Nevada state line since we both knew that Peggy Sue’s was closed because I didn’t want to get hungry before crossing in to the state line. I saw the billboard for it while driving on the 15 around Victorville and decided to stop there the moment we crossed into Barstow and it was worth it. Paid less than $ 20 for our food and drink orders and it was worth it. Dining room table was clean, people were nice, food and drinks tasted very good and managed to listen to the music playing on the highway stations while we were inside eating our food. Haven’t used the drive-thru yet because I didn’t want to eat while on the road. The chili cheese fries I managed to eat were very good along with a hot dog with everything on it except chili and a good soda fountain selection as well. It is the best place to eat at in the Mojave desert whether you’re heading to or leaving Las Vegas which is located right near a couple of hotels and other restaurants as well and I would definitely go back again next time we take a road trip to Las Vegas.

Ok, we were driving home from Big Bear Lake and on a whim decided to try this little restaurant and drive through. There is a history to this place with the original location in Los Angeles. There was a pretty good crowd eating inside which can sometimes be a plus. The menu was extensive. They offered breakfast, full line of various Tommy burgers, all kinds of sandwiches, and Mexican food too. My friend and I kept it simple and we had a charbroiled burger and bacon cheeseburger. Both entrees came out hot and fresh fries accompanied the burgers. We both really enjoyed our lunch. There were also some traditional dessert choices with sundaes and ice cream but I passed this time. For a change of pace from the Main Street station in Barstow with all the bus tourists, stop by and give this place a try. Good service, friendly staff and tasty food!

Haven’t been to Tommy’s in ages. The double Chili burger was wonderful! And I loved not having to go to «The Valley» and put up with traffic to Roscoe.

Don’t go here. People are nice but the food is gross and low low low quality. Bathrooms are gross too.

Chili on a burger? What else do you need when you’re half way to(or from) Vegas on a road trip? With all the other boring choices in the area, McD’s, Burger King, Jack in the Box, I had to give Tommy’s a try. Except for it’s white and red resemblance to In and Out, this just might be our a regular stop if we are hungry.

This is a landmark. The original location that opened many years ago was in the Heart of Los Angeles, Rampart and Beverly. This was the spot to go to after a long night of dancing. Still to this day they have been consist in their quality and standards of their product. Yea its just a hamburger with chili. Its the concept. So to my surprize I was happy to see they built one of these location in barstow. So yes on the way to vegas I stopped and a chili burger and it was delicious. They prices are little more out here than they are in the city of Los angeles. The main thing is that they are consist with the quality and taste of their chili. No cutting corners with their product. The location is on a big parking lot, so no problem finding parking with a lot of other eateries to eat at. Its all about choice. The employees where very friendly and most of all this location was very clean and very well maintained. Great Job. Most of all the restrooms where also clean. A plus for this. No guests would ever like to attend a dirty restroom. Keep your standards high. Great Job. 2015 Unilocal Challenge.102/100.Over my goal. I kept going.

A great place to stop for gas and a meal is Lenwood Road in Barstow. They have all of the major gas stations like Chevron, Shell, etc. They also have a huge selection of restaurants to choose from. We normally stop at Del Taco so I can get my Bun Taco and Combo Cup, but we decided to eat at Original Tommy’s Hamburgers for a change of pace. All of the entrees are served with Tommy’s famous chili unless otherwise requested. Their chili is very thick and sticks to everything — burgers, hot dogs, fries, you name it. Triple Cheeseburger(upgraded to ¼ lb. patties), topped with cheese, chopped onions, tomato, pickles, mustard, and of course, chili. The burger was served on the tray and looked like a volcanic lava flow. The thick and viscous chili slowly oozed from the burger along with the melted cheese. The hubby used his fries to scoop up the saucy deliciousness of chili before he went in to devour this marvel of food porn. The patties were juicy. The chili and cheese just made this scrumptious burger along with acidic elements from the pickles, onions, and mustard. Rating: 4⁄5 Chili Cheese Fries was calling my name. After 5 hours behind the wheel, I was hungry but had a comfort food craving. Just like the Triple Cheeseburger, the chili overflowed the fry basket and melted the cheese. The gooey chili cheese wrapped perfectly on each fry with no drips on the table, my shirt, or my face. I knew I could eat something else but since it was almost midnight, I saved my hunger for the morning. Rating: 4.5÷5

Came here for cheese fries got fries with a slice of cheese on top which after 3 minutes it congealed on my hot fries and made them inedible. My husband got the burger with chili on top and the chili wasn’t seasoned and was so messy it made eating the burger harder than necessary. We are just passing through and wanted to try it out we will never make that mistake again.

There’s something about these burgers that I love. Chili, cheese, spicy… something just makes these great. Whenever I have one I don’t want to eat anything else for another two days. The place is clean, the service is burger stand great and the food definitely satisfies.

I’m not to far away from the original Tommy’s in the Rampart area of Los Angeles, so when I saw this location I had to try it out. If you love chili and burgers, then this is a perfect heart stopping mess to gobble down.
