Changed my review and brought it up a bit. Went again today and it was much better.

This is THE stop over for most people heading from SoCal to Vegas. We came here in on a burning sunny day, and usually expect the place to be packed. Busy or not busy, there are plenty of employees lined up to top your bowl, taco, or burrito off with your favorites. The location, the visible teamwork of the employees here as well as the efficiency to manage such a busy place triggered me to give those guys my thumbs up!

Poor service, no trash cans, luckily when we got the correct order the food was good

Been here countless times and it’s my favourite restaurant. Whenever I am bored to cook, we will get food from Chipotle.. It’s like that. Tasty food for decent price.

Excellent atmosphere — music is chiche, food is same quality as always — can’t go wrong.

Haven’t been to chipotle for a while. Hoping they would have figured things out. Ordered a salad wasn’t offered the salad dressing asked for guacamole open the salad no guacamole. Lettuce was not green. I will never return to this chipotle don’t waste your time or your money.

Perhaps it was a stroke of bad luck that for my first sampling of the lauded«fancier than fast food» joint Chipotle happened to be on a road trip back to Vegas after a weekend getaway to SoCal. I’m guessing that the Barstow location is one of the«bad apples in the bunch» and my guess would be that the District Manager that covers this location must consider it a thorn in his/her side. Operating a food joint in Barstow’s Outlet Center Drive lends itself to certain inalienable truths: the bathrooms will be gross, the employees will be stressed, and the restaurant will be pretty dirty. The possible exception to this is In N Out, but even they fall behind on restroom maintenance once in a while. Be that as it may, I will take those certain inalienables into consideration while assessing my review, but even still, I cannot grant above a 2⁄5 rating. Allow me to explain. The atmosphere was what I expected having read and seen this chain talked about significantly over the years. How it was founded, what their principles are, and how they relentlessly focus on sustainable, fresh ingredients, and a modern«quick casual» service model. The restaurant was as clean as I expected it to be and the restrooms were certainly as gross as I expected as well. Though I get the environment aspects, I still really hate places that only provide air dryers for hand drying as opposed to paper. But that’s just me. The place was packed and had a line to the door, which I’m guessing is pretty standard. I ordered the chicken burrito, my wife had the carve Assad bowl, and the kids had kids meals. The ordering process was quick and simple enough. With our 4 meals and a bottled beer, the total was $ 27.xx. Higher than McDonalds but lower than it could have been(I skipped on a drink altogether). The value wasn’t great. The food quality was good. I don’t deny that the ingredients were fresh and sustainable. What I take issue with is the lack of flavor from the supposed«hot» salsa and the marinated chicken. The flavor simply wasn’t there. Honestly, I think I would have gotten a more flavorful burrito for 1⁄3 less of the price at Del Taco, and that is probably where we will go next time. Now, admittedly, Del Taco lacks the modern look and feel and I don’t think DT gives a crap about sustainability, but truth be told, neither do I. I just want a flavorful burrito that isn’t a ripoff. Unfortunately, Chipotle fell short on both.

This location food quality is very good. The only issue I had with this location is it seems a bit dirty inside the store. I arrived around 3:00 pm on a weekday and the location was not busy. I did find: Dirty Tables Dirty Counters Dirty Front Glass Doors I think this Chipotle really gets a failing great for cleanness. The food is good, the portions are small.

Food at any chipotle is always Consistently great. The staff here is also very friendly and I can’t get enough of their Salad dressing. It’s just soooo good

It’s Chipotle. Same menu, clean and on the way to/from Cali to/from LV. The service is great, very friendly. Go.

I’m always a fan of Chipotle and am really happy that they opened one here in Barstow. This is a great pitstop between San Diego to Las Vegas and is my new go-to place for lunch and a bathroom break. I used to go to In-N-Out down the street but I much prefer Chipotle. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. I have no complaints. However, the restaurant was really, really cold and they blasted the AC when we were there so we left in a hurry to get out of the cold building even though it was like 110 degrees outside!

The food and service is the same I’ve encountered at any chipotle but this poor location is not big enough or have enough people to the handle the mass crowds of people that stop by Barstow. This is only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 especially for the wait times and honestly it is expected since a lot of people would choose this eatery when they stop here. Some people are not even ready when it’s their turn to order(this attributes to the long wait also). Same thing at in & out… The wait can be long also. So do a drive by and see how busy it is… If you’re hangry(angry ‘cuz your hungry) then don’t choose to eat here or expect to wait before you can eat. Eat a granola so you can avoid the hangry monster from coming out. It will make the long car ride less awkward. I’m glad they have a chipotle giving more options in this area and my favorite american Mexican food. I always get a steak fajita burrito with brown rice, black beans, pico De gallo, corn salsa and guac… Yes I know guac is extra. Best $ 10 spent lol.

Everyone’s Vegas pit stop, located in Barstow and on the way from LA. Every time I’ve came here, the line has been long but moves quick. Probably the longest line I’ve seen at a Chipotle, no matter what time of the day you come. Wait time is about 15 – 20 minutes since the employees hustle on that assembly line. The Chipotle experience is similar to every other chipotle so I’ll just leave some tips here: Tip 1: Order half chicken/half steak and you will only get charged for chicken Tip 2: You can ask for tortillas on the side of your burrito bowl Tip 3: Use the lemons at the drink station for your burrito if you’re in to that Tip 4: Whatever you do, try not to use the bathroom here… always seems trashed

So this is the Chipotle, and I’m assuming only one, in Barstow. Barstow, CA is your mid stop area when traveling from Vegas to Cali and vice versa. This location is almost always busy whenever I go but of course it is always worth the wait. I’m a fan of Chipotle most of the times and I usually get their bowl with a side of tortilla. The restaurant is big, mainly because you have a high-demand business in a remote area. They’re tables aren’t the cleanest but I think it’s understandable when you’ve gotta take care of a long line a majority of the time. Just like any other chipotle, they have your different choice of rice, beans, meat, toppings, and chips & salsa as well. Nothing really special, just like any other Chipotle Mexican Grill just in the middle of nowhere. So this is your best bet on getting a good meal in the middle of your road trip. Oh, and sometimes they let you have extra rice or meats for free lol.

Stopped by this chipotle on the way home from Vegas with my gfs. Of course there was a long line that just took forever, but that’s already expected at chipotle. The people who work here are really nice, they have excellent customer service and work semi fast. The only bad thing about this place is that they don’t give you enough food. They’re kind of stingy on their ingredients if you ask me. They would gladly give you more if you ask, but why should we ask when it’s obvious that people want a packed meal. Parking can be a hassle if it’s crowded. They don’t always clean the tables as fast as they should. The floors are really dirty too. It’s filled with the leftover food that customers left on the table when they’re done eating.

Although we love Chipotle, I wasn’t too pleased with this location. It was the second time through, and wasn’t overly impressed either time. The latest visit was around 3 in the afternoon. Not a typical busy time of day, but for some reason, the line was ridiculously long. I’m not sure if the team behind the counter was slow or what, but couldn’t help but noticing. When we got to the front, we noticed«no carnitas». I know the chain has had a difficult time locating a regular source of sustainable clean pork for their carnitas, but it would have been nice knowing that walking in instead of having to wait 20 minutes in line only to see that regular menu item wasn’t available. Most other stores but a sign on the front door or cover up the carnitas on the menu so customers know if they have it or not right away. It would have been nice to know since we had talked about another food option as we parked since we’ve known about the lack of carnitas. So, carnitas is the only thing my daughter eats here since it’s the only meat item that isn’t spicy. She’s sampled the chicken and beef before, and was ok with the chicken, but not so much to enjoy it. The barbacoa looked dry, not saucy which I’ve seen at each and every other Chipotle. They also seemed to skimp on the rice, which is really what my daughter enjoys here. Lastly, as I’m driving on the 15, I bite into a bone fragment that almost takes out my tooth in the process. HATETHAT! So, overall I wasn’t impressed with this location. I add another star due to the fact that we’re regulars and have been very pleased with Chipotle overall except for the lack of carnitas. However, I do respect their choice to use simple, organic, responsibly raised food! Keep on Unilocal’n!

The staff was very friendly. We accidentally got charged for guac because of the confusion with my group but they gave us extra guac to compensate and they threw in a bag of chips. The store was clean and the experience was great. Keep it up! :)

What food is more perfect for long distance driving then a burrito? You stop, order, bathroom break(optional) and eat, driving down Interstate 15. You need a suggestion go with the chicken burrito with white rice, corn salsa, sour cream but no beans. That’s my go to at any Chipotle.

Barstow has become our regular pit stop for food when travelling to Vegas from LA. After trying multiple fast food restaurants we found that this Chipotle location is able to keep the line moving fast even when it is long(which is always the case) while maintaining the quality of the food, so it has become our preferred fast food destination in Barstow. Like any other Chipotle location you start at one end of the steam table with an option of a burrito or burrito bowl, then add beans, rice, sour cream, hot or mild salsa, corn, avocado etc. what ever you want in the burrito or bowl, end up at the other end pay and your done. I generally get the steak or baracoa burrito or bowl depending on my mood. I’ve always been satisfied with the quality here which keeps getting me back. The only thing that I don’t like is that they don’t have any milkshakes which is dealt with by making a quick stop at the Burger King across the road in the same lot.
