I give it a 2 not for the food but the staff. The staff here is far below the standard that I have experienced in other Jason’s properties. Food quality at this location is beginning to suffer as a result of bad employees and a lack of management. Poor staff equals a poor experience no matter the quality of the food

Been in Baton Rouge for two years but never been to this place and when I finally been there, felt there is nothing new in the menu. But the salad bar proved me wrong. This is the best place to have a salad as we can prepare it.

It’s all about the salad bar here! I can get a sandwich anywhere in town and I’m not overly crazy about the ones here, so I always opt for the salad bar! Free, AYCE ice cream, too? Now that is a selling point all in itself! Anyway, back to the salad bar — there’s spinach, mixed greens, a bunch of mix-ins, a plethora of salad dressings, chocolate chip mousse, these mini muffins that will rock your world and crackers galore! I can sit there for hours and just eat salad and ice cream! The restaurant is clean, service is fast and the employees are pleasant! Sign up for their mailing list and they will send you a $ 5 off coupon for your birthday! The employees at the register were so sweet for even greeting me a happy birthday. Lunch here gets pretty packed, so just be ready for it. Jason’s Deli is consistent and that is why people love it! I don’t get to go that often, but when I do, I have always enjoyed my experience. It’s very kid-friendly an the restaurant is definitely perfect for groups; scoot your chairs together cozy up!

Great night here, came with some family and all of our food came out on a reasonable fashion. Order the salad bar and salmon and all the items were fresh and the salmon was cooked well. It was pretty busy and a little hectic but that is the atmosphere for this deli type setting. The new manager made it a point to come over to each table and ask about our experience. I forgot his name but he was really friendly and made sure all of our food choices were tasty. This is a great deli!

Ordered a New York Yankee Got home to find a corned beef sandwich with 2 slices of pastrami on one side of the sandwich. Thank you for botching the most simple of sandwiches. Guess in the future I’ll have to take it apart at the counter to quality check.

Friendliest staff at a Baton Rouge restaurant. Seriously. The folks here smile, look you in the eye, ask how they can assist, and generally provide a nice dining experience. The salad bar is extensive and fresh. Sandwiches are pretty good. And there’s free soft-serve ice cream!

Great healthy alternative. A large menu with all sorts of things to choose from. I really enjoy the salad bar, always fresh. You can also build your own sandwich if your not interested in the menu options. Overall a great spot.

Great fresh sandwiches. I had the Amy O turkey, and it was perfect. The onion role had a croissant texture to it, but it was low calorie. The staff was very pleasant and was working hard to keep up with the crowds by busing and wiping tables.

I usually go to Jason’s Deli about once a week, and I must say I LOVE this place! Everything on the menu is super fresh and you can always get something healthy and refreshing. I really try and get something different every time I go, they have so much to choice from. The salad bar has such a big selection and has a few cold salads(noodle, potato, and pea) for sides. If you have never been I would suggest getting the Managers special you get have a sandwich with chips and can get fruit, salad, or soup. OH! and did I mention FREEICECREAM!

My fiancé’s boss bought us lunch here a few days. I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed that he chose this place, but it was a free meal so I couldn’t complain too much. I ordered their Mediterranean wrap and it was pretty good, better than I expected. To me it reminds me of Panera Bread(but not as good, of course.) All in all, I am not disappointed, I will definitely be returning.

The sandwiches aren’t really my favorite. I’m also not a fan of buffets so I never use the salad bar. All of their baked potatoes are so good(if I want to gain 10 pounds in one sitting), their fruit is very fresh and taste wonderful though.

I only ever get the salad bar here because, well, there’s no reason to get anything else. This is the best place I’ve found in town for a healthy lunch. The salad bar has tons of fresh toppings to make any kind of salad imaginable. I just wish they’d mix up the offerings once in a while. I’ve been coming here for years and the options have been exactly the same. Still, a great place for a healthy lunch!

Went here with the wife and kids. Very friendly greeting coming in the door. Great lunch place if you looking for a sandwich or soup. It’s not subway but it’s really just a sit down sandwich place.

My absolute favorite corporately-owned restaurant. As a vegetarian, there aren’t many options out there but build your own salad? I’m all ears! I put every single thing on my salad except for egg. There are so many fresh and healthy, trans fat free options. I usually get the pumpkin seed crackers to go with my salad. If you’re having a picnic lunch date this is a great place to pick up a salad. It’s like $ 9 and you can load up on a pretty hefty to-go salad. Looking for something other than a salad? I suggest the manager’s special(half sandwich with soup, fruit or side salad combo). The zucchini grillini is delicious, for all you vegetarians. I also suggest a Plain Jane baked potato smothered with their phenomenal broccoli cheese soup! If you’re carnivorous, feast on a Reuben the Great which is their BEST sandwich. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is casual and the prices are good!

The look I got from my husband when I said I’d never eaten at a Jason’s Deli made me fear that I was missing out on the greatest food ever. We were running errands and decided to go here for lunch. I had pictured a small little deli, maybe a Subway sized place? Definitely was in for a surprise. It was huge. And it was BUSTLING. People everywhere, kind of in a frenzy. It threw me off my game, and I just told my husband to order salad bar for me. He got his usual, a California Club sandwich, which looked delicious, and the salad bar is a good size. The employees work hard to keep the place clean, and they were all very polite. The drink station was ample. The prices seemed to match the size of the plates($ 20 for salad bar and a sandwich). They have free softserve ice cream, but only in cones or reuseable cups, so you can’t take your ice cream to go if you don’t want a cone! Overall, I think I would prefer to come back here when it’s not so busy, because I am easily overwhelmed, but if you were on your lunch break, they can get you in and out very efficiently.

Great for a quick lunch! Very healthy. Great options for smaller portions! My husband is picky and he loves this place. Has a great salad bar with more than the usual options. Soups are delicious and generous in size. The staff is super friendly and willing to help with as meant questions as you have about anything! Love this place!

Very nice, clean and friendly. Salad bar was very fresh and well stocked. Ordered managers special. Half sandwich the club royal and side salad. Great value for $ 9 and a nice desert when you add ice cream and chocolate syrup to the gingerbread muffin.

Overall, I would suggest going any time you want a decent meal for a decent price. I enjoyed this place a lot more than I expected. I always enjoy a place where you can get a good baked potato. I always get the Spud au Broc. It is big potato covered in broccoli and cheese soup. I was initially sad when I couldn’t find it on the menu, but the lady at tye register assured me they still had it, so be sure to ask if you don’t see your favorite thing on the menu. I also like that they had free ice cream, that was the perfect treat to round out a pleasant lunch. I know I will be back because there are still more sandwiches to try.

When I was younger I used to hate eating at Jason’s. Now I eat here more than probably any other place in BR. Why? Because I can’t think of better place to get a healthy, light lunch. The salad bar is why probably half of the customers come here. I must admit, I have never had it. I’m just not a salad guy. That being said, everyone loves it. They have tons of things to choose from and you can eat as much as you want. People often end up with some ludicrously giant salads. It’s fun to watch how large some of these things get. I usually get the manager’s special. The manager’s special is a half of any sandwich on the menu, a cup of soup, and chips. It’s not that expensive and since you have small portions, pretty much anything you’re going to order will not be that bad for you. Jason’s has some absolutely delicious soups that are way too good for what this is, a chain deli. They have great broccoli cheese soup, tomato basil soup, French onion soup, and seafood gumbo. They have more soups, but I’ve never had them. Though I am sure they are also quite good. Several of my friends are quite fond of their chicken noodle. They have some great sandwiches here too. My personal favorites are the Chicago Club, the Club Royale, the ruben(which is called Ruben the Great here), and the veggie muffaletta(I forgot to mention that this is a pretty decent place for vegetarians and vegans). I really love the Chicago Club. I could eat that thing every day. It’s delicious. I really like this location, but like the one in Citiplace, it can get extremely crowded during lunch. It wont take long to get your food even if they have a long line, but you might not be able to find a seat. Lastly, as everyone seems to mention, they have free ice cream.
