Quality AND quantity! Not a lot of sushi places in Bellingham can say that. I’ve been here 4 – 5 times now and can definitely say that Jun delivers a great roll everytime! Jun is the owner, his name is on the door and he’s the guy putting your rolls together. He’s not your server but if it’s slow enough, he’ll bring out your plates or check up on your table to see how everything’s going. Service doesn’t get any better than that! Today’s late lunch trip included a kimchee Ramen soup bowl(~$ 7) and a spider roll($ 7.50). Amazing delicious deep fried crab. Ramen was alright, kimchee was pretty good. I make my own kimchee so for me to say kimchee was alright, it means that it is pretty good! Afterward, me and the husband went across the street to buy some loose tea at Wonderland and then grabbed a few drinks at the Beaver. My craving for sushi wasn’t quite satiated yet so I called and ordered a Spicy Tuna Roll combo to go. Can’t go wrong with this classic combo!

I was impressed by how good the sushi was! It seems like it is getting harder to find good sushi around Bellingham, but this place will have me coming back again for sure!!!

My friends took me here for dinner on my last day visiting the area, and we were all very happy with our meal. We ordered the Seahawks roll, the white dragon roll, the rainbow roll, the spider roll, and the small sashimi combo, and every one was delicious. The portions were large and priced fairly. The sashimi was very fresh and tasted great. I would definitely recommend anyone give them a try. I’m sure we’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

My most favorite sushi place in Bellingham! The rolls are fantastic, service isn’t too fast but isn’t too slow. They only have one man on the sushi bar so it may take a bit of time to get your food but it tastes amazing once you receive it! I’m extremely picky about miso soup but there’s is definitely the best in town! And if you eat in the building, chances are they will refill your bowl, yum! Some of the best rolls are the white ice roll and red dragon roll. And if you are in the mood for spicy, try the stuffed jalapeño tempura!

Quality, Flavor, Service and Location! Jun’s has never disappointed me since their move in on Railroad. Park right in front of the building(pay until 5pm) and sit inside or outside. *Note: if you want their rad Sake, you must go inside– no outdoor liquor license yet. All of the sushi here is very fresh and great quality. I am in LOVE with the Spyder roll and any of the Dragon rolls. Really hungry? Get the 2 California roll combo for $ 9! Seaweed Salad is delish– not boring or too fishy. Yum. Jun, himself, brought us complimentary green tea and water on a colder evening while waiting for our to go order. Very personable and service oriented. Only reason for 4 stars is that it’s fairly slow sometimes and the occasional tough communication with waitstaff. Nothing major and definitely a highly recommended sushi joint downtown!!! Go! Open until 9pm too!

We have been looking for a decent sushi place ever since we moved here. We’ve been travelling up to Vancouver anytime we wanted to be guaranteed a bang for our buck and have a roll that didn’t taste like it was hand rolled by a carp. Though small, Jun was everything we were looking for– fast, friendly service, a decent selection(maybe could have a bit more variety but they work with the space they have), and the rolls were amazing. I will definitely be back.

This place is nice and clean. The owners are so friendly. I got the salmon benton today and I could tell $ 16 for the bento here was not bad. I’ll come back for sashimi set. Recommended!

Sushi was good, small little place. Not cheap by any means. Service was fast. The credit card machine has issues which they are aware of and would only take certain cards for random reasons, so be prepared to pay cash if you dont have more than one CC for them to try. A little disappointed in the rainbow roll, only a couple of different types of fish on top and the«krab» filling had no flavor. Sashimi was good with big chunks instead of slices. Overall it wasn’t bad, but not great either. Will check out another sushi place next time.

Service was very friendly and quick. We had the bellingham roll, caterpillar roll and white Dragon roll as well as some fried vegetables. The rolls were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The restaurant was very clean and tidy, especially for packing so much seating into a tiny place. I will definitely be going back to try over if their bento boxes!

I’m only giving it four stars because of its menu items, all very fresh, large portions and the sushi chef was a gentleman with great hospitality. Lacking any bluefin tuna, Toro, and specialty fish, clams, roe and urchin… Small, quiet establishment in downtown Bellingham, not a lot of seating and a very small sushi bar. I know I will return anyway, I give it an A for cleanliness, a B for space and atmosphere, an A for location and ample parking. CR

Jun Sushi is a good Japanese restaurant. The menu is simple and easy to pick from. The food is nicely presented. Nothing is expensive: Bento boxes are $ 14. Rolls are $ 11-$ 13. It’s the perfect place for the munchies — as I saw a student roll in order some rolls and roll out. :-) The place seats about 20 people max, so the service is attentive and close by. The grill chef stands immediately behind the sushi chef, so it looks elegantly choreographed when they get going on orders.

It is really worth coming in to this small, downtown dining experience. The food is excellently and freshly prepared and the owners are immensely kind to their patrons. During the summer’15 power outs, they wrote down people phone numbers and allowed them to eat on an honor system as they couldn’t take cards. The owners gave me a free bowl of Miso l, they were genuinely concerned I might not get a chance to eat during the power out. Just returned from my third time there, where they asked if I would be interested in a bowl of Ramen, which is huge! Because there is no ramen in Bellingham! They told me that they were going to add it to the menu and I Was the first customer. The Ramen was amazing, and along with the free tea we received I am just blown away by the graciousness of this place.

Great service. Friendly wait staff. Fresh ingredients with appealing visual presentations. The Go Seahawks roll was excellent. And I loved the Jalapeño Tampura appetizer! They’ve been open 10 weeks and are definitely worth a visit. Jun is a great cook!

I thought Jun’s was great! I had read some of the earlier reviews and went in expecting slower service, but that wasn’t the case. Came in around 4:30, seating and ordering was prompt. Prices are great, especially in comparison to some of the other sushi places in town and everything tasted great. Service was wonderful, prices were really decent and the food was yummy. I’ll be back for sure!

My step mom and I came here for lunch, we were the only ones there. The service was attentive and the food was great!

Is it just because my boyfriend and I are college students that we deserved such poor customer service? The 2 servers kept rushing us to order. The minute we got our food they gave us the bill. The servers kept checking in on us to see if we put down a payment yet and then badgered us to pay right away when we weren’t even halfway done eating. I give them some slack since they just opened but come on that’s such bad manners. Looking at other customers’ reviews I’m very surprised they had such high ratings. The food was okay even the table next to us said it wasn’t that great. I paid $ 47 for a meal that was not worth that price at all. Bottom line is they just want your money and don’t care how they treat you or we were just the unlucky customers.

Not sure where all the five stars are coming from, but I’d definitely agree this place is good! Just not amazing. Albeit, I’ll come back and update my review if they streamline things a bit(they had only been open a few days when I tried). Pros? –the sashimi was fresh… –outdoor seating is nice –the sushi chef and owner seemed enthusiastic to share the culture behind the dishes, and came out and told me how to eat the spicy sashimi bowl(which I thought I had down pat, but maybe not…) –service was friendly Cons? Many of these counter the pros above! –some of the sashimi’s texture was off –the service was extremely overworked(not because they were struggling, but because we heard«sorry» so many times because it was slow… –the helper chef didn’t take his sanitary gloves off the three times he went outside the kitchen, to the supply room, opened the door, grabbed stuff, came back… Ew.

Fresh fresh fresh. Tempura is awesome. Try the BBQ garlic bento. You will love it. Staff was friendly and attentive. Outdoor seating overlooks Railroad Ave for a nice social setting but the passing crowd doesn’t overpower the meal, as you’re sitting 3 feet above the foot traffic on a concrete deck. Clean.
