From what I can tell, Pita Pit is the same as Subway sandwiches but Pita Pit has more variety on the menu and no footlong pieces of bread. It is one of the few fast-food options in the downtown core of Bellingham and they have a $ 5.99 daily special, so I’ve stopped in many times to grab a healthy dinner I can eat while driving :-)

The number one reason I won’t be back? The tip jar. «Do you know what ‘TIPS’ is spelled backwards?» Really?! So you’re going to spit in my food if I don’t tip you? Classy. Aside from that, a tiny pita that doesn’t fill you up shouldn’t cost $ 9. I ordered the special that said it was $ 5.50, so I’m not sure where they came up with that price. I ordered a whole wheat pita and got white, the gal behind me pretty much had everything on her pita wrong, and mine was so grossly salty that I threw half of it away… and I typically put salt on everything. Won’t be back.

the pita pit is excellent ! they offer wheat pitas, which adds more flavor and is healthier too. veggies are fresh, great selection, and they do not skimp on ingredients like so many other sandwich places do. sauce selection is plenty varied cheese selection. i am vegetarian so do not know about meat but my friend liked his pita too. friendly and clean. prices are good especially what you get for your $$.

Big fan of Pita Pit! Although I usually don’t review chains because they are typically the same everywhere you go, I have to make an exception here because of our incredible service we received. I didn’t catch his name but our server was extremely helpful yesterday and answered all my fiancé’s questions in detail. Since it was her first time here, she asked a ton of them and the guy told her what would go well with what and the sauces he recommended and she loved it! Pita Pit is healthy, fresh, not overly priced and this location definitely has a new frequent customer!

Friendly service and cheap Pitas, this place was pretty good overall! I got the chicken souvlaki and it was nice getting to choose all of the fixings. It was definitely better than Subway and cheaper than Extreme Pita.

I like the food from here. However I am turned off by them because of an experience. I went there on a Monday for a bite to eat. It was about 9:30 pm so I checked Google to see when they close. It said 11 pm so I went there but they were closed. I thought maybe Google was wrong but then I checked the door for the hours and it also said 11 pm. I wrote an email to Pita Pit headquarters and they emailed me back acknowledging my complaint and that it was forwarded to the store manager(each store is independently owned and operated). That was a few months ago and I still have yet to hear from the store. Not even an email to explain the situation or even just to say sorry. I haven’t been back since.

It’s a shame this is one of the only places near my house that does delivery and isn’t pizza. Firstly, I found the fact that you had to have 20 $ worth of food(BEFORETAX) frustrating, because what I wanted came out to be 19.98 before tax. And so after adding something to make it meet ends, I ended up paying 30 $, or ten extra dollars on stuff I didn’t actually want. My pita came cold and hard, the tzatziki dipping sauce was thicker than yogurt and basically flavorless. I ordered a chicken caesar pita. In the description when I was ordering it online said, «Bacon, chicken and romaine lettuce» But it only came with a bunch of chicken and tomatoes inside of it(I did add the tomatoes, but lettuce is kind of important). It’s also cold and slightly soggy. I ordered the local california pita as well but I haven’t bothered even unwrapping it. Overall completely disappointing experience and I probably will never order from them again. I’ll give them two stars because at the very least(besides the tzatziki) it’s not completely inedible. What a waste of money.

This outfit took the subway concept and applied it to the gyro. You get your choice of meats, vegetable toppings and sauces,…but it’s Mediterranean style. Meats include a mixture of lamb and beef, along with a variety of other deli favorites. Sauces include tzatziki for those who want to go Greek and hummus for those who like the Arabic flavor of tahini(sesame seed paste); plus a host of hot, sweet or savory options to appease your palette. Finally, your special creation can be wrapped in lightly toasted white or whole wheat pita bread.(I wish they would sell a pre-wrapped bag of pita bread to take home because it is so light and fluffy. Seriously, why isn’t this quality ever available at the grocery stores in town?) You can get your food to go, or the cook will even wrap it so it can easily be consumed there or while you are walking down the street. Located in the heart of Bellingham, you have plenty of metered street parking around. Nights and weekends, the meters are free. The store is open late night. You can even order your food online for pickup at the store if you are in a rush or find yourself with only a nickel in your pocket to feed the meter. If you didn’t order in advance, don’t worry, the line is only long at lunchtime, but they move people through the register quickly. You can upgrade to a combo which includes a drink and a bag of chips, but this will tilt your bill over the $ 11 mark. There are daily specials that are reasonably priced around $ 6. Since you are the maestro orchestrating how the sandwich comes together, you know you are going to enjoy it. I know I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been here twice and both times were great. The staff was friendly and funny and the pitas were amazing. I got the gyro this time and my friend got the BLT and man were they scrumptious! They’re very filling as well. We bought pitas and chips and I could only finish half my pita. Two lunches in one It’s pretty healthy and yummy, Id recommend!

Once I mentioned gluten free I was asked if the grill needed to be cleaned off to prepare the falafel, I appreciate that.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love Pita Pit. I’ve easily spent hundreds of dollars here. It started probably 7 years ago after hitting the Royal and The Depot, I stumbled in there wanting food and decided to get the Chicken Caesar wrap. I instantly fell in love! This was amazing! We started to frequent Pita Pit weekly and it became a tradition to go out, party hard, get a pita and go home. I actually looked into opening a Pita Pit here in Burlington because I loved it so much but the amount of collateral you need to have is way more than I could afford at the time haha. Great food! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

I think we have a new go-to place for lunch for our clinics in Bellingham! Delivery to our location(with a reasonable minimum order size) is a huge plus, and the food was good! I also like the option to turn any pita into a salad. Online ordering is easy to use, and the food was delivered quickly. I’m not sure *why* they have breakfast items if they don’t open until 10:30, but I’m kind of glad they do, I might take them up on the bacon-and-egg pita next time.

Tonight was the first time I have been to a Pita Pit, and will also be my last. By the time I was done paying and tipping, my pita cost 9 bucks, and I was finished with it before I had walked a full two blocks. It was flavorful enough, but not nearly filled to capacity. I understand that businesses operate on small margins, but really! My advice: upgrade to double meat, or don’t bother going.

Went here the other night and had the Chicken Caesar. Delicious and cooked incredibly fast. I literally turned around after finishing my order and before getting to sit down they tell me it’s done. To be fair, I was slightly intoxicated and my perception of time was probably a little off :) A nice change of pace eating venue to check out if you’re tired of hot dogs or dumplings. Great service. It was probably around 2AM and you’d imagine working on a friday night(saturday morning) that they may not be pleasant to order from, but they were all smiles when we went.

Good service, great pitas. Nom nom. I always go with the chicken caesar pita(chicken breast + bacon). Convenient location, but it can get a little busy on the weekends. Place looks clean and smells decent.

I love pita pit, its the best thing to have on a late Friday night! I love the Falafel there with some tzatiki sauce, which is bomb. Great veggies and variety of sauces and cheeses. Some of the other ingredients do cost extra, like the avocado or baba ganoush. So much better than any other make your own sandwich place. Yeah its a little pricey, but well worth and will fill you up!

I love Pita Pit in general, but this is the best one I’ve been to. My chicken souvlaki salad with tzatziki was delicious as always, but what really impressed me was how friendly, efficient, and funny the staff were. They really seem to enjoy their jobs! In fact my dining companions suggested they were on something… that may be, but if whatever they were on made them happy and great servers, then I say sign me up. Two tips: Order your pita«fully loaded» to have it packed with yummy grilled veggies and go on Tuesdays when you get double stamps on your loyalty card!
