Cool new brewery in Bellingham. The owners were very friendly and it’s a great space. It’s also a fun location close to downtown. The beer was pretty decent! I was disappointed that this place is cash only, which will prevent me from returning.

Structures was our first and probably our favorite brewery we hit on our recent brewery tour of Bellingham. Here we got smaller portions of beer rather than a whole pint because having a pint at each brewery you visit is often times just way too much. Here I got an amazing Coffee Stout which was probably one of the best ones I have had in recent memory. Steven got a nice Amarillo hopped beer, a pale ale I believe. Both beers were truly infectious and you could just keep trying one after the other on their selections. This brewery is cash only so that is something to be aware of before you go here. I did not see a ATM on the premises. That does not mean that there isn’t one but best come prepared beforehand before going in.

Really good beer! Please try to incorporate taking credit cards and getting food! Overall, excellent place.

Had the petronilo stout which is delicious with Guatemalan coffee brewed with beer. The Melted IPA is a medium bodied unfiltered IPA with light citrus notes and medium dryness. It could please IPA and nonIPA lovers alike. Great job guys!

Great selection, everything offered in several sizes from 4 oz on up. Today had the Petronillo coffee stout and the Iteration IPA and look forward to trying all of the others.

The newest brewery in Bellingham. Only 2 guys are running this brewery. They said they serve the same kind of beer only twice. Great people and great beer! Support local businesses ;)

I can’t say enough good things about these guys. Seriously, no matter how many good things I say about them, it won’t be enough. At this point, you have about five more minutes before it’ll be impossible to say you made it in before they got discovered and completely overrun. It might actually be too late for that already. Word moves pretty fast these days. They’ve taken over a small garage-like space with a large rollup door, in the middle of what B’Ham can call its main business district. They’re on State Street, with some potential for street parking, and a parking lot next door that you enter from the other side of the block. Make sure to bring cash. They’re young hippie idealists, or something, and do not accept electronic payments from your advanced capitalist society. UPDATE: As of May 2016, they have succumbed to the realities of modern living, and will accept your filthy plastic credit card as a form of payment. Inside, there are a couple of pieces of wood serving as tables, and then a few old oaken barrels serving as other tables. There are not really any tables serving as tables, but that’s okay. I’m a table, you’re a table. We can all get along. There are some basic little metal stools, and there’s a bathroom that they probably had to build themselves. There’s some rough half-inch pine lumber on the walls. It looks very finished, but they’re not messing around trying to convince anyone that this is a lavishly-appointed taproom. It’s a clean and organized place to drink delicious beer. There are 6 taps, all available to take home as growlers. You can order beers in various sizes to get a sense for what you want. You can buy glasses or t-shirts. But what really matters here is the beer, without a doubt. They’re making special stuff – not because nobody else could make them, but because some of them are somewhat difficult to make this well, and they make everything really well – the more-common styles as well as the more specialized stuff. The prices are reasonable, and they’re still, at this point, doing everything themselves. They brew, they do everything during the week, and then they man the taps and the cash register when they open the doors. It’s a great place and I hope to get to try dozens more beers from them. Can’t wait to see them distributed in Seattle.

Finally made it here(I say that even though it’s only been a couple weeks) and I’d say it’s A-okay! Although, it’s definitely a new brewery and kind of like when Aslan started, they might have a bit of time before they 100% master their unique brews and atmosphere. Pros? Neat seating with old barrels as tables VERY reasonable prices Quite a crowd for a weekend night Everyone seemed satisfied Awesome glassware The pours were generous Both the citrus and the saison are flavorful and matched the description perfectly Cons? Cash only(which is fine considering the prices, but a bit odd since it meant me and my friend had to count our cash before we could even think of entering) Quite a lot of head on the beer… Head is good, but there’s a point when it’s a bit too foamy

Before you get there, just be aware that this is a cash only establishment. The beers and growlers are super cheap(cheapest in Bellingham), but you will need cash! Anyhoo, they have had some pretty solid beers so far! The Eldorado IPA, Citra Pale and Table Beer have been my favorites. Oh and the Double IPA– if you see it on? GET A GROWLER! Get two! You will be glad you did! I cant wait until they start releasing the barrel aged stuff. I look forward to seeing what Structures brings us in the coming months!

Most importantly, the beer is good. I tried a flight of everything they had and found it all to be very drinkable. I don’t know if it will stay this way, but we were actually served by the brewers(two homeboys from VT), so we got to talk shop a bit, which was very cool. The prices are extremely fair for the quality/quantity. The atmosphere is rustic/folksy. They don’t offer food at the moment, but you can bring in whatever you want. They are located across from Vital. No dogs inside.
