Algiers Point, New Orleans, LA
Hands down definitely one of the very best Mexican restaurants in town! Everything I’ve had here is great. Especially the ceviche, tortilla soup, and Fajitas! Oh, and you can’t forget the Pina coladas! Great customer service; the owners, managers and all the employees are extremely friendly and great, down to earth people! Highly recommended.

Went back again with the family. Luckily we arrived before the big rush! When we left the waiting area was standing room only. This visit we were sat in a different dining area and it had a fire pit in the center. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas that were very decent for the price of $ 25! All 4 of us were happy with our meals. My husband gave 5 stars to the surf/​turf combo of carne asada and shrimp. My chili relleno was one of the best I have had! The kids plate was plenty big enough for my 11 year old and the college son couldn’t quite finish his burrito! The rice was still above average and the beans just average. Service was friendly and fast!

We went there for the first time last night. A friend of ours who is also from Texas said this was most similar to the Texas Mexican food. We loved it! Huge portions. The Perfect a Margarita buzzed me quick! I even had to share because it was so wonderfully strong! Kind staff, clean restaurant, great service and food. We will be back!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE El Rodeo!!!
This is one of two restaurants that my in laws will actually go to so we always go here whenever we want to go out to dinner with them. Food is A++, especially their burritos and the pollo ala crème. Staff is alway friendly and I appreciate the fact that they’ve had the same wait staff since I’ve started going here four years ago, some of them remember us by name. I’d recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

I love love love El Rodeo! I’ve been eating here for 15 years and can honestly say that I’ve never been disappointed. All of the staff is very welcoming, greets me with a smile and knows my mane. It’s like family going there. The perfect margarita is the drink that keeps on giving and the fajitas mixtas (halibut and prawn) are to die for! Don’t forget the fried ice cream. It’s great to see Rudy and Lorena handing the rains over to their children for many more years of great food and service.

Great Mexican food, better than I have had in a long time. And I am a San Francisco foodie! Salsa served right away was great. Both of us had fajitas mixtas, which was cooked very well. Enormous portions. Even my husband, who has a very fast metabvolism and consumes vast quantities of food, could not finish his plate. Only thing I would change is that the food was too salty; less salt would have let more of the pure tastes of the yummy food shine through. Friendly and delightful fellow who seemed to be the owner, but wasn’t when I asked. He clearly loves his work and the food and is very proud of it. Highly recommended!

So delicious! I got a chicken super burrito and it was oh so yummy! The waiter was very nice and we were seated and fed very quickly. The owner was also very nice and sang along to the music which was very entertaining. They also pour their drinks very strong so you only need one! Will definitely go back if I’m ever in Bend again.

We tried this place on a whim. Thought that the reviews were OK and the pictures looked tasty. It didn’t look crowded when we pulled up was were surprised to see it quite packed inside. We were greeted by the nicest man who turned out to be the owner. The salsa was fantastic– hot but fantastic. They roast their peppers. The dinner was served fast and hot. The margaritas were a must have. Would go back when we are back in Bend.

Really solid food. Salsa was good… kid portions were very large and the staff was very friendly with the kids. I had the Arroz con Pollo which I thought had a really tastes sauce that the chicken had marinated in…
Overall, a good find and a nice restaurant!

This is our fifth time at this restaurant, our previous four times were STELLAR (we sat at the bar, the bartender was hilarious and attentive). This experience however, was only tarnished due to a rude and hurried waiter. He was both abrupt and very short, rushing us through both our meal and drinks, even hurrying through the bill. Other than this, the restaurant is outstanding! Drinks are always spot on and food is delicious. It’s too bad one rude waiter can offset what would otherwise be a pleasant experience.

Coming from a lifetime of having various selections of great Mexican food I can say without hesitancy that this restaurant serves up the best Mexican food in Bend.
From our first experience here it was clear that the restaurant is family owned and operated and that they take pride in their food. The owner is always welcoming and regularly greets, seats and serves his guests. He is also very willing to accommodate people with food allergies and enjoys whipping up special off the menu plates for guests to try.
The ambiance is nice and the facilities are kept clean. Great for families, birthdays and couples.

I read many of the reviews in here… so my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. We went around 7 PM last (Friday) evening, so the place was very busy (and rather loud) as expected. Nonetheless, we were seated within 10 minutes… which was great.
We were immediately served warm chips, coleslaw, and a medium hot salsa… all, which were delicious. She ordered prawn fajitas and I tried the burro Acapulco. We shared the dishes. Both were fresh, hot, and super yummy! We could only eat half, so some good leftovers to eat today during March Madness.
I’m actually giving 4 ½ stars. ½ star deducted for the inordinate amount of noise… which wasn’t a deal-​breaker for us.
We’ll be back!
PS: This is a great place for the local crowd as it’s off the beaten path from the more popular touristy establishments.

I feel like family every time I go to El Rodeo. The owner and staff are wonderful and treat customers with respect and kindness. The food is really good. You’ll get plenty to eat and the drinks (try the Perfect Margarita) are excellent. I almost always get the Chicken Chipotle, because it is amazing!, but I’m going to try to branch out someday.
We go here a couple of times a month and it is always very good!

I did not want to go to Downtown Bend since I have been to all the Mexican Restaurants there so we decided to stay local. We walked in and got seated right away our drinks came very quick with great suggestions. I ordered the fajita burrito but the chicken was very dry. My boyfriend ordered the deluxe burrito and it was delicious. I will definitely be back and give them another chance. Good job you guys keep up the great work on the service.

I may have turned my cousin on to a new Mexican restaurant in Bend. They seated 11 of us for lunch in a comfortable booth. Chips and salsa were brought to the table, and I ordered up a bean dip as well. The dip was really good, but I was secretly hoping for something along the lines of what Old Mexico in Santa Rosa serves up.
And now that it’s been 8 months since i started that review, I’m going to wrap it up by saying that the chicken tortilla soup was outstanding, as was the service.
We all enjoyed our food, and next time I’m in Bend, i’ll vie for a meal here!
