This would be 5 stars best orange chicken in town! But they need to decide if they are a day care or restaurant. Owners kids running around the restaurant freely… makes one wonder about hygiene expecially at the open buffet!

Large portions, great tasting food. The wait is a little long but worth the wait. Would recommend

This place was recommended to us by hotel staff. It is pretty standard, basic Chinese food that is comparable to what you would expect for take-out in larger cities. Is it great? No, but it fits the bill when you’re looking for take-out. They delivery to the area, which is a big plus after being in the car all day. Recommended.

Last night we ate at the China Bistro. My husband and I both choose the buffet. It was probably some of the worst food we have ever been served by a restaurant. The pot stickers were burnt, the rice was stuck to the bottom of the serving pan, the chicken was cold. I’m honestly surprised we didn’t get sick. They had lightbulbs burnt out everywhere. There were dings all over the walls. I get the feeling they just don’t care about quality. Take my word for it, don’t waste your money, or put your health on the line.

We went on a Thursday for dinner ~ 7 and there weren’t many people there so we were a little concerned, HOWEVER… The food was GREAT and the service was good too! The sweet & sour could have had some veggies but I was thrilled that the sauce was on the side, then my honey could share & the outside didn’t get soggy when I took half of it home. My honey had Kung Pow & it had LOTS of veggies & he loved it. The best part, when he ordered no onions, the waiter asked if no onion on the rice too &NOTHING had onion on it. I can’t tell you how many dinners have been ruined because of ONIONS(since far too many places pre-make food) so this was a big plus! I can’t wait to try the buffet so we can try other dishes too. :)

We eat here about once every two weeks for lunch. Sometimes we order off the menu(their homemade potstickers are OUTOFTHISWORLD) and sometimes we have the buffet. True, they are not very busy but having eaten there well over 20 times their food is always fresh and delish. The buffet is a darn good deal at under $ 10. Their sweet and sour chicken and shrimp puffs and everything else is really wonderful. Hands down the best sweet and sour shrimp from the regular menu. LOTS of shrimp breaded just right and fabulous sweet and sour sauce. I’m glad they aren’t that busy as there’s always a table!

We have dined at China Bistro on numerous occasions. The service and food there are consistently top notch. Never a poor experience. The entrees as well as the buffet are always fresh. China Bistro deserves 5⁄5 stars hands down.

The problem with China Bistro is they’re just not that busy… at lunch anyways. We go here quite often but I will review a recent visit. Lunch last Friday: We arrived early, 11:25 am or so to find only one other couple having lunch. It’s about what I expected as we’ve lunched here before and there’s never more than a couple of other tables eating. Here’s the strange part: The couple dining had a variety of food on their plates so I can only surmise they were eating from the buffet which is also what we ordered. As we walked up to the buffet, we noted that it was entirely empty and our waitress and some kitchen staff were busily trying to fill the steam tables. Did they remove the food from the buffet after the first couple got what they wanted? What the hell is going on here. So we loaded up on just a few items for our initial buffet run since it’s all they had out. The second trip up they had about half of the steam trays filled with food so we tried a few other selections. The food is unremarkable. Not bad, but not great either and certainly not overly warm. Some of it was actually cool. The staff are very friendly. I like that. The area around the hostess station where the cash register is located is tremendously cluttered with crap that should be out of customer view. It’s a simple but elegant restaurant and this clutter ruins the experience. If you’re in a hurry and arrive after noon this could be a good location. You’ll be in and out very quickly and they might have the buffet filled by that time. Hopefully, other diners will be there to hurry the buffet-filling process.

We had the buffet tonight, with 5 people in our group they were nice enough to start preparing buffet dishes about 40 minutes early. Some of the beef dishes were a little lacking in spice, but the chicken dishes, like Lemon Chicken were really good. The lemon glaze was actually caramelized, and the cashew chicken had enough carrots to actually taste them in the mix. The Mongolian Beef being an exception among some other ‘neutral’ spiced beef dishes, it was spicy and had CRUNCHY ingredients, like onions, pea-pods, and celery. The ‘Shrimp and Butter’ dish, which is exactly what it says was delicious, but seemed out of place… it just didn’t seem Chinese to us. All in all the restaurant was clean, the employees were friendly, the food was well cooked(not quite spicy enough on some dishes, but the server GLADLY and with a smile bought us extra peppers, pepper sauce and teriyaki on request.) We all ordered water to drink(soda just isn’t the thing in our family) and they didn’t have a problem with it, whereas in some places we get a weird sigh when we all order water. I’ll be back, and I’ll try to finish sampling all the dishes I didn’t get to. Oh and ALSO, the Chinese Donuts were melting in your mouth fresh. This review is for way back in April 2010, I hadn’t been on Unilocal in a while and forgot I started it!

Wow — Had high hopes for this new Chinese place with a prominent location next to the Carmike Shiloh 14, but it was a major disappointment. The kung pao chicken and orange beef were pretty gross, both needing more spice and less blah. The breading on the beef was just nasty.
