Service is always friendly, the yogurt is delish and the place is always clean. Mmmm…

This place has changed management several times in the short time it has been opened – and the quality drastically depends on who ever is in charge that«month.» We have been there times when it was spotless, the toppings fresh, and service was friendly. However, we went recently and found the place to be dirty, the toppings strewn everywhere, and the service really poor. There are also very ugly, aggressive«NOLOITERING» signs screaming at you on every wall(I’m not kidding, they’re everywhere). I feel like it sends a very unfriendly vibe. It is pretty ‘average’ when it comes to self-serve frozen yogurt places. They are going to need to step up on the quality if they want to survive in this saturated market.

Finally a frozen yogurt shop in this area! I’ve been here more times than I can count and I love it. Always clean, toppings are always filled to the brim. Yea, it can get expensive, but just be careful how much you put in your cup!

Standard TCBY fare. Nice selection of yogurts. Topping bar was pretty neat and clean, no crap spilled all over the place, Cheery service behind the counter. I get a laugh out of the calorie counts at the yogurt nozzles(actually pretty useful) juxtaposed with the containers the size of 55 gallon drums. Weird– most of the yogurts were between 27 and 33 calories an ounce, regardless of being fat free, sugar free, Greek, or hi-test…

How often do places pitch a win on their very first day? TCBY in Bloomfield did. Located in Wintonbury Mall, TCBY may be easy to miss if you’re driving by… but look closely. It’s to the left of the theaters and other eateries on the side facing Town Hall, right next to Minuteman Park — which is a perfect place to sit while enjoying your Fro-yo creation. I haven’t been to a TCBY in many many years, which might explain my delight at the current self-serve concept. You walk to the rear and take an empty cup. From there you are greeted by four or five machines, each offering two varieties of delicious soft-serve, plus an extra lever to twist the two together. I chose Strawberry and cheesecake… mmm! Once you have your fill of fro-yo, there are, literally, over 50 toppings splayed on a twin counter-top, including everything from the traditional crushed cookies & candy bars, to the obscure, including something called Bobi… which appear to be huge caviar eggs, but are actually li’l soft balls of fruity goodness that splash into your mouth when you chomp down on them. Plenty of fresh fruit such as berries, pineapple and mango, a kettle of hot sweet walnut, hot fudge… well you get the idea. If anyone has tried it, chances are it’s here. AND… most if not all of the toppings are noted as being kosher, same as the yogurt itself! Once you have created your Opus Magnus, you simply head to the cashier, where it is weighed & paid. If you plan to be a regular, they have a frequent buyer plan, where after a number of purchases — I think it’s 10 — you get $ 5 off the next purchase. They have a number of tables & chairs inside, but on a nice evening, why not stroll out to the park just outside! It’s clean and bright, which is what I’d expect of any brand new place. The two young employees there at the time were friendly, well-trained and accommodating, which was a bonus. I welcome this new and exciting addition to beautiful downtown Bloomfield, and hope they are around for a lonnnnng time! June 29 Update: In the interest of accuaracy, last night I counted all of the toppings, and from boba to nuts to whipped cream, there were 66!
