Well, I was hoping that this place made it. Been there a few times since it’s a few block from my place and we usually hit it when we are walking looking for a place to have a cocktail and some food. The first time we were there we had some great cocktails and some apps. I had the Fries with truffle garlic, and they were amazing. Then visited again to have dinner with some friends and I ordered the chicken and waffles which is what the server suggested was one of their specialties. Well, not so great. The chicken was a bit dry and the waffles were just ok. «Missing Yardbird» in SOBE. Anyways, my friends had the fish and my wife the turkey burger. They all said ehhh… I still was hoping to even a third chance because the place is cool and they really did a good job making this place look nice. Last weekend we walked there with some friends to have a few cocktails and some food, and the place was closed. It is a tough spot for a place like that, and there is 15 other places that offer great food and service. I hope to see another place open up there…

FYI… This place has officially closed! Went there with a group of 8 for my wife’s birthday, the food took forever to come out(1 ½ hrs), and after 6 meals were brought out they told us they ran out of the other 2 dishes. They were obviously having issues in the kitchen. The place had a nice vibe and decent food, just think they couldn’t get the kitchen up to full speed…

We went for Mother’s Day brunch and it was a big mistake! We were told we had to be there by 9:30am or wouldn’t get a table — it was empty when we got there and was still empty when we left. The food sounded fancy but was not very good. We ordered«crumpets» which we were told were improved English muffins but turned out to be tiny pancakes. The butter had course salt in it so it wasn’t good when you spread it on the pancake and then put on jam or syrup. The pomegranate mimosa was made with some artificial juice like Ocean Spray, not POM or fresh squeezed. Servers were nice though and the terrine was pretty.

Probably the best burgers in Palm Beach County! Great long Happy Hour from 3 to 8PM! Only 4 stars though because the airconditioning at the bar area is not that great. Update: this place has closed. Lack of advertising!

Comfort food galore at this restaurant. Great brunch and lunch menu featuring some pretty awesome eats! I had the white pizza omelet with an everything bagel and latkes. It was delicious. Fresh and satisfying. My boyfriend had the brisket mash with a corn muffin. It was out of this world! The service was a little slow, but it was well worth the wait. We even put in a to-go order so we could enjoy a post workout lunch from the menu. We can’t wait to go back! Great location, pretty inside and out, live music, reasonably priced & bottomless bloody Mary’s and mimosas! What more can you ask for?!

This lady loves brunch. It’s extra special when it’s shared with lovely friends! The three of us met up yesterday for some scrumptious food. The place is nice, hip, and clean. It’s spacious and the staff was friendly. Our waitress did a great job with everything and even recommended some of her favorites at the restaurant. The bottomless mimosas are offered here as well for 12 bucks. I got the three cheese grilled cheese sandwich. Mozzarella, cheddar, and provolone with prosciutto on a pretzel roll, YES, pretzel roll. Mmmm… call me butter because I’m on a roll. It came with tomato bisque soup topped with goldfish and wild and crazy rice. I usually have rice warm, but it was cool yesterday and it worked well with the dish. I believe it was also a vegetarian mix. I enjoyed every bite of my meal. I had a bite of the PB&J sandwich, which I will plan to get next time I stop in. The chicken and waffle dish looked good as well. The dinner menu and specials make it more intriguing to go back tomorrow ;)

Fork & Knife is one of the better kept secrets in Boca, but that could also end up being a double-edge sword. Unfortunately, this is one of those word-of-mouth kind of places. The concept is simple, fun and plenty inviting but the location is off most peoples radars unless you really frequent Royal Palm much. The interior is hip. The menu is very hip. Pictures of Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles and the old Rascal House grace the backdrop of the dining room area. You can tell a pretty penny went into this place but it still maintains an extremely relaxed vibe, along with their SiriusXM pop channel on blast. It’s not at all stuffy and despite the out-of-place elderly divorcees or rapidly aging playboys that lurk the bar area here, this place is pretty much made for the rich youth movement who won’t mind the calories for an evening. The menu is extremely focused on soups, salads, burgers and quite a few interesting entrees. It’s not boring at all. It’s quite refreshing, innovating and its full of plenty of options like Turkey meatloaf cupcake, chicken & waffles, lobster truffle mac & cheese, chicken + apple + goat cheese salad and a black bean burger just to name a few. I have yet to experience b-fast or lunch here but I plan on it. The service was attentive and very friendly. But now on to the food. I ordered the shrimp & grits($ 25) and loved every bite. The grits and the parm/cheddar was a great marriage, unlike Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. The shrimps were nice size, CLEAN and flavorful and the andouille sausage was cooked to perfection. It’s one of those dishes that you order every time you come to a place like this, Everyone I was with loved their food, including my little one who ordered PB&J. I said oh hell no I’m not spending $ 7 on peanut butter & jelly at a place like this, but I have to admit, I was surprised. They make it like a grilled cheese sandwich and the fries were amazing too. The chicken, apple and goat cheese salad was equally as amazing but I wish there was more fried goat cheese because that was the heading act. The calamari and Thai peanut sauce was good, but I would have liked an alternative dipping sauce because it really was just pureed peanut butter and after awhile you can only stomach so much. Overall, Fork & Knife gets an impressive 4 stars with plenty of room potential. I’d like to see better beer options at this place. The imports are none existent and the best beer was a Heineken. They need to bring in some Belgiums to class the joint up. I’m thinking any Chimay will do. I wanted a beer, but after I heard what they had(bottles only), I opted for water. But I really hope they can overcome this ridiculous curse of Royal Palm restaurants off the beaten path. It would really be a shame if this place couldn’t survive, it’s that good

We stopped in for a late lunch. Our server Leigh was excellent. The décor is gorgeous. Super comfy and easy on the eyes. Kids fair is normal menu items hot dog, grilled cheese, pb&j etc. both meals came with fries. I didn’t see options to choose applesauce or veggies instead but I didn’t ask. They were given coloring placemat and crayons to keep them occupied. It was double sided with puzzles, which is nice. I love veggie options and this place was awesome for me. The portabella mushroom caprese app was fantastic! I ordered the good salad with a black bean veggie patty on top. The combo of the cashew, cherries with the sesame dressing was extremely pleasing. Their veggie burger patty was a nice change from the overused store bought bocas or chipotle ones you usually get. My mom ordered the house burger in a smaller or mini version and it was still huge. The bacon jam she said was amazing. The sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar were so yummy and could easily be a dessert. The kids got the ice cream sandwiches for dessert and loved them. We tried the apple pie wontons with the cinnamon ice cream — oh my yummieness ! I would definitely go back and I think you should try it too! ** for the bar goes there is an indoor outdoor bar. There is outdoor patio seating as well.

For lunch I took a group of coworkers to this place on a whim for the chicken and waffle sandwich. Everyone raved about how delicious it was. For the unaware its chicken breast in between two waffles with syrup and sriracha. The combination of the 4 things was just amazing. The sweet potato fries and slaw on the side were also very delicious. When you top it all off with some bacon jam. there’s not a thing I would change. Our server Bridget was attentive and took care of everything we needed with a great personality. Definitely bringing the rest of the office back for lunch someday soon.

This review is for brunch only. They have a fairly creative brunch menu. My Egg White Pizza Omelet($ 10) with peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, & marinara sauce was quite tasty. 9 year old loved his Cap’n Crunch French Toast($ 10). Husband had Eggs, onions, & cheese with sausage, ham, & potato pancakes. He said everything was«okay». My 10 year old gave the same response about his Three Cheese Grilled Cheese($ 12). This was served on a pretzel roll with prosciutto & tomato basil bisque for dipping. The sandwich was yummy but the soup was quite salty. Service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is in Mizner and there is a lot of construction going on now so it can be a little noisy. Perhaps that is why it was not too busy? Overall, a pleasant brunch experience, if not the best. I would give it a 3 ½ but will round up to a 4 for the good service.

My fiancé and I decided to come and give this restaurant a shot. We were glad we did! The service was terrific and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend the portobello mushroom appetizer My lady had a black bean burger which she said had such great flavor and was cooked perfectly! The fries were also amazing. I had the short rib as my main dish. Slow cooked and so so wonderful! I look forward to coming back and trying some other dishes!

Me and a girlfriend went here for brunch and the experience was fine, food was ok and bloody Mary’s were ok. There was nothing remarkable about this place nothing that really makes me excited to go back and try or anything that special. It has potential but I think maybe this new place is just experiencing growing pains and needs a more specific direction to stand out in downtown boca.

Returned for Saturday late breakfast at around 11:30. Partner and I were only people there. About 10 staff visible. Always concerns me when customers outnumber the diners… hope they draw more. CHICKEN Sausage with two eggs on top of a waffle, and sweet potato fries and maple syrup. Sausages were thick and tasty, well cooked. Eggs as requested, and fries well done as requested. Liked the combo, certainly qualified as «comfort food», left 75% of waffle uneaten, had maxed out carbs with fries. The waffle did get a bit soggy, but maybe I needed to eat it faster? I WOULDREORDER — MELIKEIT HAMOMELETTE with shredded home fries(nice variation), toasted corn muffin. Fluffy and moist omelette, and the corn muffin was a great alternative to bread. SERVICEBYALEX P was attentive, professional, friendly. Refilled coffees, poured sparkling water. Management: recruit more like him.

This is a welcome addition to East Boca for brunch and breakfast. We had delicious(and prided right!) egg dishes which came with a nice choice of sides and was cooked«just right.» The mimosas were 2 for 1 on Sunday brunch which was a pleasant surprise and went along with the theme of a decent priced meal amidst the glitz and glamour of the Mizner area. It’s also a decent sized space so they should be able To accommodate you without too much of a wait. Definitely will be back for dinner some time!

Came back yet again with 2 other couples on a Saturday night as a warm up spot for a night on the town. We went with a bunch of apps including the beef tips, calamari, chicken pops and the crab and spinach dip. All of the food was prepared perfectly and was very tasty. Bartender Jaime was super friendly and isn’t shy with her pour so the drinks were awesome as well! Our waitress was friendly and attentive on a busy Saturday night! We sat outside on one of their comfy couches. Great friends + perfect weather + great drinks and apps = an awesome night!

Wow! Love this new place! Servers & entire staff are so nice & totally accommodating! Been back a few times & seems the owners are always there & go up to each & every table which is rarely seen these days. Food was exactly what its called… modern comfort food, delicious! Prices are great for being in East Boca, usually that area is ridiculously priced. Not sure how the above didn’t feel the same. New restaurants need time to work out the bugs, hope they give it another try because everyone I know who has gone has raved & been back quite a few times already. Can’t wait to go back!

Seriously. I think this is one of the worst restaurants I’ve eaten at in a long time. I Went with 9 people & almost everyone hTed their meal. I had an egg sandwich so how can you screw that up? They didn’t toast the bread & the cheese was melted to the point it was almost gone! I didn’t get my bacon & the potato pancakes were terrible. My reins to my right had the chicken salad. Again not toasted & the slaw had not mayo or flavoring. It was plain cabbage! Next girl over, her fries were cold & soft. Won’t be going back anytime soon.
