How absurd it is to leave a gas station unattended at 8:30 at night. Guess you guys don’t need money tonight.

The woman who helped me this morning was very helpful and super friendly. Best service I’ve had at a gas station in a long time! I got a car wash and hot cup of cinnamon coffee. Yum!

It just so happens that I went into this Conoco store with a few friends the other day as we had walked over to Curry ‘n Kebab and it was closed during the time between lunch and dinner, so the friends opted to get snack food at the Conoco and eat at a picnic table nearby. Didn’t sound like a good plan really but one of the friends works nearby and only had a short break so was in a hurry. It turns out the people working at this Conoco store are friendly and they actually had some healthy snack food which was also a saving grace. Who knew that a Conoco store would carry chocolate covered blueberries with acai? I know, chocolate may not be a healthy food, but cacao, which is in chocolate, happens to be a superfood. So, without a car, and not buying gas, just walking into this place, it was a good experience. Sure, we could have walked across Valmont to the Walgreen’s, but would they have had chocolate covered blueberries with acai? I doubt it.

It’s a gas station and a pretty standard one at that. However, beware the air pump. It’s expensive($ 1.50 for air, even more for vacuum). It’s nice that you can pay with a card, but it bills out of Pennsylvania and your bank or credit union might think the charge is fraudulent. Mine did and I spent a frustrating Sunday with partially functional debit card. Take note.
