Once again, had an awesome visit at Doug’s today. The turkey sausage was great and they had mango jam with their homemade biscuits! Can’t go wrong with that! The service was very good, my coffee cup never went dry. This was a great place to have a meeting with some. Business Partners. I will be back some.

This was the worst meal I have had in Boulder in 28 years. I highly suggest not eating here. They brought me the wrong meal and I sent it back. After waiting a half hour they brought me the wrong meal again. And the waiter didn’t even offer to take it off our bill. He just said«sometimes this happens» Left hungry and bothered.

Here’s another large seating option for a boulder breakfast. Portions are massive so you may consider sharing with someone. Sounds like most items are thoughtfully made and homemade. Flavors though are good, but not outstanding. But of course it probably depends on what you order. Certainly worth a try for a new breakfast option

Stopped in for the first time and had a(giant) breakfast burrito. It was fresh and delicious. Service — both lovely server and owner — was terrific. Will definitely be back.

Had a great meal here, and left very satisfied. Great service. If you’re in the area and not in the mood to wait for village coffee or the buff, it’s a great option!

Forget waiting in line at the Buffs for breakfast! Doug’s is where it’s at. The bacon was the best thick cut hangover cure I’ve ever found! The sausage gravy is also to die for.

My chicken sandwich and my wife’s hamburger were both very good. Fresh ingredients and well made. The fries are ok, will try the chips next time. But why don’t more restaurant’s offer better drink options than the standard high fructose loaded soft drinks? At least water is free.

It’s average. We ended up here on a Saturday morning after making the decision to not wait forever at another breakfast place. We were seated immediately and our server was nice. The menu has a heavier focus on more«complex» breakfast items(we didn’t look at the lunch options so can’t speak to those). I just wanted scrambled eggs and toast. Ended up with a cheese omelet which was good. I wish they had simple omelet choices on the menu(all are filled with many ingredients) or at least a summary of options to build your own. I love cheese, so had no issue with how cheesy it was. I can imagine the amount of cheese is too much for some people. Toast came with 2 jam options. Both were great, although I prefer plain toast. My husband ordered the sweet toast(their French toast). It was good but *very*(too) sweet. He thought so as well and he loves sweet breakfasts. I’d summarize this place as a mix between the village coffee shop and the buff. It’s not as greasy as the VCS but not as good or having the selection/obvious options that the buff does. It foots the bill for breakfast if you don’t want to cook and do not have time for a long wait.

Service was good, but burger was awful: patty was an overdone rock, bun was WAY too bready, mushrooms on burger were almost raw, fries were WAY too underdone… Boy, I wish Boulder had a classic diner worthy of my East Coast upbringing!

We stopped here by chance and was not disappointed in our choice. The service was excellent and our meals were very good. The grilled biscuits with their homemade jam are highly recommended. The veggies in my omelet were fresh and not over cooked. Definitely would recommend this spot.

Excellent food and service. We used to go to the Buff(about a block away) but got tired of the long wait for a table. Dougs is just as good with no wait times. Try it. We love the Dougs in Superior too.

Doug’s Day Diner is located in a convenient location. They offer fresh breakfast and drink, great list in their menu. I really love their Clint omelet; it is big, load of spinach, tomatoes and bacon. It’s served with choice of side and bread. Their jam was homemade and really tasted nice, not so sweet. The omelet was very delicious and the portion was generous that I can share it with my husband. Friendly server and I didn’t need to ask for anything, she brought all to me. The price is reasonable.

Love this place! The food is made fresh and with love! Not one of those big corporate restaurants that buy cheap ingredients. The menu has a great variety and their white gravy is specialty awesome. I will remember and spread the word! Highly recommended!

Absolutely outstanding breakfast. Had the omelette called«The Favorite» and was terrific. Large portions and the hash browns and biscuits were awesome and fresh. Danielle was my server and was great! Will definitely be back.

I wish it were better, but it’s very, very average and there are MANY better options in Boulder. I hope the quality picks up because the service is good and I think the food and space have potential. For example, I liked the intense flavor of the mango jam, from adding dried mango, but the other flavors were just very sweet without much flavor.

I had been meaning to try the Doug’s down in Superior after I heard so many good things about it but before I ever got around to it, they opened one 6 weeks ago in Boulder, «almost» in my neighborhood. I decided to get a taste of the brunch offerings today, at a rather odd time on a weekday, so I ended up being the only customer when I walked in. By the time I left though, lunch customers were drifting in. I was pleased to see that it was possible to get a small meal without having to order random sides to do it. The«One Plus» gives you one pancake, one egg and one strip of bacon for a very affordable price. And as it turned out, it was an immense pancake which I could not finish. This was served with butter and syrup on the side, and both in actual containers so the butter is not already melting and blending on the plate like some places. Each item was classically made, fresh and tasty, exactly how I ordered the egg and the pancake browned but not dry. Nice thick cut bacon. Nothing was greasy, a pet peeve of mine. I ordered an iced tea with lemon with the meal, and it was nothing special but it came in a huge cup. I guess that saves having to wait for refills when they are busy. The interior it completely new and attractive in a very classic diner way. The place is huge so I hope their customers do materialize at a different part of the week. This location is near campus but not a trendy part. And Boulder’s most famous huge volume breakfast/brunch place(which does not suit me for taste or quality at all) is a mere block away. So I hope Doug’s can stay around. Certainly the service I got today was far better and friendlier than I have ever received from the other place. Delightful ladies running the diner today. Parking is a breeze, a big lot in an underutilized strip shopping center. I will go back and try a more complicated meal now that they have passed my test on some basics.

We were almost lost getting back to Denver after a day visiting Boulder. Looked at a sign that looked familiar for lunch, but ended up at Doug’s Day Diner. What a great bit of luck! The food, most obviously fresh, was more than we had even hoped for at the familiar restaurant we never found. Yolanda was our server, and was more than attentive and helpful. Too bad we’re tourists from Florida. We’d be back there every week
