El Rodeo is getting 5 stars because it really is the top 2 best Mexican spots in Bozeman(La Tinga is a close second…) You get really authentic dishes here, and you aren’t paying for anything fancy. For instance, you either eat at their food truck location or in the mall. It’s nothing special, but the special part is the food. It’s incredible, haven’t had a bad thing yet. Thank you to the high heavens! We finally have some good Mexican food in this town! Woohoo!

Always good. My girlfriend and I come here and get takeout almost once a week. My favorite are the pastor tacos. They each have two corn tortillas, a lot of meat, and a sprinkle of onions and cilantro. The pickled jalapenos and carrots, and a squirt of lime makes them perfect. She orders the«macho burrito» with carnitas, also super good. covered in enchilada sauce and with a side of rice and beans, it’s a serious meal. Don’t forget to order a few grilled jalapenos on the side.

Yo, Bozeman – take it from this Texan: El Rodeo is one of the best kept culinary secrets in town. I know the mall food court is off-putting, but take a chance and treat yourself to the only authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Bozeman. Support this local biz! Pro-tip: go with the $ 2 tacos!

We live in billings, where you won’t find decent Mexican food to save your life. Also, I grew up in California and go back to my hometown in the valley every year so I know what good Mexican food is. The problem is nobody else in Montana seems to have any idea. We LOVE this place-granted so far we have only tried a variety of street tacos, and a side of rice and beans, but they were all delicious! And they have Tortas on their menu-that’s like a modern day Montana miracle right there. Bring cash, there is no other form of payment. And the bus is located between Dollar Spree and Jiffy Lube.

Bozeman finally has good, authentic Mexican food! They have now opened in the Gallatin Mall and I hope they stick around. The first time in the 3 years I’ve been here from CA that my craving has been satisfied(and I’ve tried all the«mexican/texmex» places around here at least once). The enchiladas verde were good and pork was perfectly tender. Also very satisfied with their chips and salsa — big portion. Tacos and tamales good as well! May have found my new spot.

Awesome! Being from so cal I have been searching for authentic Mexican food since I moved to Bozeman. It’s seriously lacking… But this place is a gem! Reminds me of home, and I’m from the place that’s makes the best Mexican food in the U.S. Don’t be weirded out by the location or the paper plates. That just means it’s really authentic. Hopefully this places stays around, cause I plan on eating here all the time.

Hands down the best food truck in town and the best Mexican food. I grew up in an area with lots of choices for Mexican food and have not had anything here that came close, until now. Go there!

My girlfriend got an enchilada and thought it was«super yummy!». I got 3 steak tacos and thought they were«on point», lol. $ 12.00 well spent. :-)

What? Why are there only two other reviews for this place. It’s in the dollar store parking lot and there is a Hawaiian ice stand right next to it. What the hell else could you need in the summer? With authentic taco truck(bus…) tacos, real Mexican soda, a snow cone, and strong UV Rays in a parking lot – you should just call it a summer(and diabetes with all that sugar) but really, it’s perfection. The food is delicious. It’s inexpensive(cash only). Service is speedy petey. Share a plastic picnic table with a stranger. One of every kind can be found at this place, appreciate it and enjoy it.

Food is authentic and delicious. That is all. Do the people of Bozeman a favor and eat here so they stay! If your idea of Mexican food is black beans and cheddar, this may not be your place.

Finally, Bozeman has a taco truck that is the Real Deal. So far I’ve only had pork carnitas, but the plate was great – tender, flavorful, slow-cooked. Service is very friendly, and you can’t beat the location.
