IHOP

Service is very slow — waited 20 min just to get coffee served. When I finally placed order, my food took a long time to come and when breakfast arrived, it was no surprise that our breakfast would be cold!

I’ve always been going to Ihop for many years but this is my first review on it. Normally I never had a problem with the menu, food or staff but as of recently, it’s different. Be careful when you read the menu because one day on a date with my girlfriend I was there I asked for the 6 piece french toast AS ADVERTISED IN THE MENU that came with strawberries, Banana and topped with whip cream and all I got was 4! No explanation from the waitress. I gave her a tip too and seen that one of the bus ladies had pocketed the tip as I walked out the door.
I went there today with my mom, it was really busy and I do give the staff alot of credit for getting people in and out and the speed was fast for the order we had but again I got the same waitress ironically. This time I asked for the strawberry/​banana pancakes with whip cream. THERE ARE 4 PANCAKES AS ADVERTISED IN THE MENU but for some reason when I got my food, I got 2 pancakes and no explanation from the waitress. That’s not even worth $ 8.59! There is no way you can be out of pancakes… it’s even all you can eat pancakes month at IHOP as well right now so either, they ran out of pancake mix at 1pm or just plain laziness so their jobs can be easier so we leave faster. I’m just dissapointed…

Every time someone says ‘let’s go to IHOP’ I cringe internally. It sounds dramatic, but to be honest, I have never left this location satisfied.
The eggs have the consistency of plastic, cups are always dirty, dining hall smells like old carpeting, service is usually slow, portions are small.
To be quite frank, there are so many breakfast places in the surrounding area that actually do breakfast 1,000x better for the same price.
I think the only thing this location has going for it besides being in the Bridgeview area, is its late hours.

If I could give zero stars I would. Food ok but over priced. When we got the bill the server automatically put 15% tip on it, twice… there was only 5 of us and honestly the service was not worth 15%. Then they brought our daughter a glass of pop and it was completely cracked like a U through the whole thing. She took a couple sips and we noticed it leaking. Horrible and unacceptable. What if there were pieces of glass in it. Ridiculous. They removed about $ 25 from the bill but I will never ever go there again.

Probably the worst visit, and the last, I’ve had. I ordered a side salad that took 20 minutes to get delivered to me along with my daughters disgusting, bland Mac and cheese. Their side salad is wilted lettuce topped with a mountain of soggy onions and tomatoes. Had 2 bites and I was done. Waited another 15 minutes (total of 35 minutes) to get our food. My fiancé ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and toast. He said it was nothing special and had no flavor. I got the ham and egg sandwich with hash browns. The sandwich had no flavor and the hash browns were cooked unevenly. Part was piping hot and the other was cold. Seemed microwaved to me. There was also pieces of red plastic on my fiancées plate. We will not be returning.

Went here on September 26^th after the Foam Glow 5k at Toyota Park. Many empty tables. Looked like just one waitress. While we were seated quickly, we waited for 20 minutes without anyone coming over to our table. This is horrible service! We got up and walked out. There was a long line waiting to be seated by then. Felt very sorry for them! I will not be returning to this IHOP.

Usually have a great experience here and the staff is usually aweaone.. . But today 8÷20÷15 the waitress took forever and when told to come to our table she had attitude and was screaming. I know some people talk loud but she yelled. We got up told the manager and paid for our drinks… she kept yelling saying… why are u leaving? It’s only been 3 minutes. NO MS LIAR, it told long at least 20 minutes and we were not seen. …anyway smh if I ever go there I’ll make sure we do not get that waitress.

Second visit here around 2AM. First visit ok. Second visit we’re greeted by a typed sign indicating automatic gratuity charged upon the entry doors. Strange. Enter. Rude older waitress visually expresses disdain upon is entering, loudly states (without a simple hello) that it will be five minutes before we van be seated. Because my girlfriend is intent on IHOP pancakes specially, I bite my tongue. We wait, and two other customers arrive. The rude older waitress upon noticing them, loudly states that she will seat «both» of our parties and leads is to our booths. The entrance to the aisle being blocked by a chair. Strange. Stranger still, the rude older waitress just walks by the chair and expects us to follow suit. We do. The rude older waitress does not indicating to younger supporting waitress about the order of arrival, and the party that did not wait are identified as new and served first. We left upon that. And I wrote this review immediately for reference to assist with a formal complaint to IHOP as I believe racial profiling was the deciding factor in our experience, and the trend in other reviews suggests a pattern of poor service.

Very disappointed the restroom stinks bad like sewer, place looks run down dirty the place smells like grease the air conditioning don’t work horrible I wouldnt waste your money here,

This place deserve 0 stars !!! By far the worst I hop I’ve even been at. Waiters are rude. Seating takes forever. Waited 10/​15min for a table of 8 and waited more than 30 min when a table of 8 who had just walked in got seated in seconds. Managers take no charge in anything! Ratchet and rude. And the bathrooms smell like backed up sewage

Lets be honest and admit that IHOP has its virtues. And amongst breakfast chains, I usually rate it above Denny’s and bellow Village Inn. Overall this one performed about average for this class, with nothing surprising and only few real deficiencies.
I went to this location with family and kids during a trip to the Chicago area. We were seated promptly when we arrived and at a table appropriate for our party. The manager was pleasant and so was the server who handled our table.
To be fair, we threw them a curve ball with our order and they handled it well. In addition the order came out correctly the first time and look appropriate. The food tasted well, and my family enjoyed their food.
This location, seems to be one that serves a population that puts quite a bit of wear and tear on the place, but the staff seems to be keeping the place together. Overall a three stars for the category.

Pretty slammed here on Sunday around noon. Big steak omelette with extra cheese! Don’t really eat breakfast out, but when I do it’s here. Service is reasonable and food is pretty good. They won’t wow you, but the food definitely hits the spot.

Worst service ever! Not enough waiters! Took hours to get seated and to get served! And top it off wrong orders! So dissatisfied!

Me and my friend came to eat her the other morning for some brunch and a younger hostess about my age greeted us and proceeded to sit us down. I asked her politely if we could sit on the other side of the restaurant at a booth because we always get seated on the right side where there is a bunch of commotion and people. She said it was fine, but I noticed reluctantly.
Either way she said it was fine and sat us down where I asked. We waited and waited, nobody came to take our drinks orders for maybe 15 minutes. The young hostess/​waitress that sat us down kept looking back at me at our table visibly annoyed, glaring. A couple minutes after that and after she was glaring at us she loudly said, ‘Well, they wanted to sit there, so!‘
I heard it loud and clear and it was obviously about us. Obviously there was an issue with us sitting there which if that was the case she could have EASILY told us that if we sit there that it would take longer to serve or WHATEVER the case may have been. She said NOTHING. I was so annoyed and offended by that point. After that a different older waitress came by our table. I had explained what I heard and told her that if it was such an issue that we were sitting there I’d gladly move and asked why hadn’t the other waitress explained that to us? I would’ve understood and gladly sat wherever they wanted me to.
She said there was no issue and to worry about it and that a waitress will come back to take our orders shortly. She also explained later that it was because they were short staffed or some other stupid blatant lie excuse.
We waited about 20 minutes, nobody came.
I finally had to get up and go back to the kitchen area to ask why nobody was coming to take our order. The same older waitress said she had no idea that no one came by. She didn’t even know. So she said she’d take our order.
Finally she took our order. I had a burger and my friend had breakfast. My burger was dry.
About 10 minutes after we were finished eating our waitress didn’t come by fto give us our bill and I wasn’t about to sit there another 20 minutes so we got up to pay at the counter and ask for our bill.
The younger hostess was right behind her and I told her that she was extremely rude and if it was an issue that we were sitting there she should’ve let us know. This girl lied to my face and in front of her co worker saying she DID say something. lol I was appalled. She also smiled at me as if she was laughing abot the situation.
Then as I proceeded to let her know that she is a liar, the older waitress proceeded to cut me off in a way that seemed she was annoyed with me RIGHTFUL concerns and complaints as a CUSTOMER and was basically shooing and hurrying me away so I would leave. She cut me off by saying things like, ‘Okay thank you come again, real sorry about that!” Basically treated me like a dramatic child instead of a concerned PAYING CUSTOMER.
WE WILL NOT BE BACK HERE. THIS PLACE IS CLASSLESS AND SUCKS!!! THEY ARE LUCKY I DIDN’T CALL CORPORATE, AND I AM STILL THINKING ABOUT IT. NEXT TIME I COME IN I AM GOING TO TALK TO THE HEAD MANAGER AND EXPLAIN THE EN TIRE SITUATION. I AM ALSO GOING TO GO BACK AND GET THE YOUNGER WAITRESSES NAME SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE I DIDNT CATCH IT LAST TIME.
ALSO THERE WERE DEAD BUGS ON THE TABLES. WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!

By far my favorite breakfast place! Yes they need to remodel and yes their seats sucks but the waitress are excellent, pancakes to die for and so are the French toast (especially the seasonal ones omg yummy) coffee is delicious! My son loves their burgers so you can order those (they come out very juicy and big!)The prices are decent. So you wont go broke… The only thing that sucks is that the parking lot gets full and you have to wait for parking. Worth the wait. love coming here for breakfast…

Worst service I have ever had in my life. Waitress was to busy talking with other waitresses, brought salad with dinner, not before. Complained to manager he said he would talk to her. My first negative review ever.

Went for dinner as I was craving for breakfast food. Service was good and friendly. I recommend to come at night for faster and better service.

This would get 3 ½ stars but there are not any ½ stars available I give. I really like this IHOP because they’re staff really tries to make your time there pleasant. I’m usually almost always here for breakfast and can only review for breakfast time. The food always comes just as ordered nice and hot and the coffee is always delicious and hot too. When the restaurant is busy the wait is not too bad either. The staff is pretty good with cleaning up tables getting them ready for the next patron.

I’ll be fair with the food but our waiter got it wrong 7 times! I mean, I used a Groupon, let them know. Never took it off. Still though, I have to say the food was excellent and although they made 7 mistakes with my order, YES 7! I am still glad I came here.
They are pleasant and do treat you well, even on busy days. Its about how you are treated that makes you even want to come back. The place was packed but who cares, it was worth it.
I like the fact that they bring you a carafe of coffee vs going back and forth with the coffee refills, this I find to be a really strong A+. There you go, nothing fancy swanky but its a review. I can’t say enough about IHOP except that you can never go wrong on comfort food.

We got here about 11 something and it was pretty busy. We sat and ordered and the food was a bit of a wait, but the waitstaff were so nice and they explained that they only had 2 cooks back there.
Food was pretty good and the lady at the register was very nice also.
