My family and I went out for dinner and we went to Tony’s NY Pizza. I ordered the chicken alfredo and I have to admit I could have filled a gallon container with all the grease I had on my plate. Not only that but my chicken was extremely dry and my noodles were under cooked. My Aunt had spaghetti and she said it was really sour and just threw away the spaghetti. The only thing I enjoyed was the bread. I’m definitely not coming back to this place.

Ordered pizza a few days ago and it was terrible. it was cold and the cheese was hard and every time my kids would try to take a bite, the cheese would come off the whole entire pizza. Needless to say I thought it was gross and everyone else was not too happy either. I have had better pizza than this!

Not our favorite Tony’s NY Pizza location. I ordered a cheese pizza and a mushroom pizza for pick up. When I arrived the place was crazy and kids were everywhere, so, in an effort to get out of there quick, I trusted the order as it was read to me, but didn’t actually look at the food. I got home and then got side tracked, so we didn’t open the boxes until almost an hour later. When I did, I saw one had pepperoni and mushrooms, instead of mushrooms. I called and they said I could drive there and trade for what I ordered. We are a house of vegetarians, but luckily we had friends over who weren’t, so we just ate the cheese. My husband had been looking forward to the mushroom pizza, so he was disappointed. It wasn’t worth the 20 minute car ride to trade the pizzas. – Hopefully they would have thrown the returned pizza out, but the fact that they wanted it back worried me a bit. I also wasn’t sure if they just plain thought I was lying. – Apparently they had a mushroom pizza(no pepperoni) in their notes. We just moved to the area and had hoped to frequent this Tony’s location, but now I doubt we’ll return. Disappointing experience is an understatement.

We’ve been quite a few times, and we really like it here! Once you figure out the set up it’s easy peasy. You walk up to the counter and order. They’ll give you a number and you wait. They’ll call your number and you come up and pay and get your food. easy as pie. pizza pie ;). The food is super yummy, and its ready quickly. It seems pretty fresh, considering they have a high turnover on food. Their pizza rustica is so interestingly good, with broccoli and salami inside of it, and the rigatoni pie is delicious and super filling. One of my girls loves the bruschetta which is different than you’d think, they heat it up and there’s cheese on top, too. She asks for it every time we go, as her entrée. I wouldn’t hesitate to try it out, if you’re in the area.

Awesome pizza! A bit slow if you are eating there, but still good. Hubby is a New York Italian, his test is if the pizza is good cold the following day… Tony’s passes this test!

Pizza is pretty great, that’s a given by how popular and busy it is. But the chicken cheese steak subs are awesome. My wife likes anti pasta salad, when she’s on a low carb kick and the rest of us want Italian. Big portions!

I’m originally from NY, where there’s a pizzeria in every town(usually 2), so I’m partial to pizza. That being said Tony’s is the closest I’ve found in Virginia to good pizza. Sure the pepperoni is a little greasy(but it’s supposed to be)… Their subs are good too(meatball parm, chicken parm, even the eggplant parm)… Eat in or carry out, you can’t go wrong.

Tis location is pretty much the same as the other Tony’s locations around the area. If you like the other Tony’s you will like this one and if you don’t like the others then you won’t like this one. In my opinion the food at Tony’s pizza is nothing special and usually find the employees to be cold and on the rude side. I had a similar experience on my first visit here last week. I arrived at around 5:30PM and there were a couple of people sitting at tables and nobody waiting in line. There were six or seven flavors of pizza sitting in the counter but none of them were labeled and looked like they had been sitting out all day. This left me in a predicament trying to decide which flavor looked the least appealing. After about 3 or 4 minutes I was still trying to make up my mind and was hoping the counter worker would acknowledge me and try to help. A couple of minutes later I finally pointed to a slice and said that one because it had no label. The worker then asked the caprese? I said sure and then tried to pay. I was coldly told don’t pay me now. Three or four minutes later my slices was ready and I paid. It was $ 4.50 and the slice was smaller than slices at the other non-Tony’s places around the area. The flavor was decent but nothing special. Doubt I’ll be back since the price is higher, the slices smaller, and the flavor not as good as other pizza places.

Ordered Tony’s tonight half cheese half pep/mush. Got a ¾ pep mush, needless to say my kid wasn’t so jacked for his cheese pizza oh and it wasn’t fully cooked so had to cook it so the dough wasn’t gooey. To bad. Ended up making my son something else to eat and I only had a piece. I don’t order out very often. Now I remember why

Delicious! The staff is always friendly and provide wonderful customer service. I had a last minute order to cater a party and they were more than willing to come up with a dish, pasta forno, which they whipped up within a few hours. They totally saved me!

Awesome pizza, calzone, salads… Our family hits Tony’s every Sunday for take out so we can enjoy their food during football games!

So disappointed. I normally love Tony’s but their baked ziti was anything but baked. Major fail! Do not order this. I do like their pizza but pasta dishes are disappointing. Daughter had spaghetti and it was okay. Nothing great. Watery noodles amongst a late of spaghetti a noodles and two scoops of pizza sauce.

I’m a pizza snob. I admit this. I’m one of those freaks who starts his own pizza dough the night before and goes for cold-rise so it’s nice and chewy when baked. So I’m picky about pizza. And this is by far my favourite. 1. The dough is nice and chewy on the edges, firm and cooked at the center. The crust has enough flex that you can fold it and eat it like a true New Yorker, but the tip of the slice is still firm and cooked like the rest. 2. The sauce has a nice tang to it. Consistency is good. Thick without being distractingly chunky. 3. Ingredients look, taste and feel authentic. 4. Dining area is always clean. This is a newer location so it’s still fresh. Bright and inviting. 5. Family Friendly — This is a major stop for little league teams and scout units, so it’s definitely a lively family-friendly place. If you are looking for a romantic evening together — this is not your place. 6. Major Take-out business too. While lots of people eat in(again — with the sports teams and families) I think at least half their business must be take-out. 7. Staff — they’re New York. Whaddya say? They’re not rude — they’re Italian New Yorkers. So if you remember that — it kinda adds to the experience. It reminded me of places I’ve been to in Brooklyn. Except more polite, LOL. Maybe it’s the southern influence from working in Virginia. Come in on a Sunday — you may watch Mass on the TV. The Pope was up to something the last time we were there. So we watched His Holiness taking selfies with Italian kids in soccer uniforms. Somehow very appropriate.

The Tony’s New York Pizza guys seem to own a few of these restaurants in the area based on the name, the menu, and the fact that I see the same faces at different locations. I prefer the Bull Run Plaza location, however, living where I live, the Bristow one is the most convenient. The staff is usually high school to college age running the front and registers. There isn’t a large waiting area if you are ordering to go so the entrance gets pretty packed. If you’re eating in, be prepared to wait because they are either making the items or it takes forever to get to your items to warm it up. I love that they have pizza by the slice, but it always has a layer of oil that I have to remove with a napkin. I give 3 stars because of the poor design of the restaurant including the outdated décor, and the food always tastes like it’s been heated up in the microwave.

I’ve been coming to this place for years. The food is good for the most part. The service is another story. Rude must be a mandatory quality to work here. I stopped going to the one across from Costco because of the owner/manager. Always unfriendly. Now at this location they’re getting as rude as in the other place. Oh, and the concept of a family of 4 eating together is foreign to them. My wife and daughter ordered pizza and Stromboli. My son and I ordered cheesesteaks. Their food arrives 30 minutes ago. We’re still waiting. When I checked on it the young lady behind the counter told me that I needed to let them know ahead of time that we wanted to eat together. Really? This has happened before but this time it was too much. I think I’m done with them. The food is good, but not good enough to put up with their attitude.

I live right around the corner and come here a couple of times a week. The caprice pizza(tomatoes, spinach, and mozzarella) is delicious and I add chicken to it. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and provide top notch service. If you’re in the area then this is the Italian/pizza restaurant to go to.

Not so sure if these are the same guys in Manassas, but I’m going to say so, considering the menu is identical and so is the ambiance. I have eaten at this location three times, and each time has yet to disappoint. The food portions are enormous and the NY ambiance is quite, well, you see it. Their unique pies are something to admire. The creativity of their craft makes for a unique experience like no other, other than when I’m back in New Jersey. Its a delightful feel that brings people back because when you eat here, you really are family(sorry Olive Garden). This location or the Mathis Ave. location in Manassas definitely hits the spot. Recommend either one.

I stopped by for take out one evening. They were VERY busy, which is usually a good sign. I had ordered a salad, eggplant parm sub, and a cannoli(leave the gun… take the cannoli)…I called ahead, so, it was only 5 min or so until my order was ready. I took it all home to enjoy. It’s about a 10 min drive. (I should point out that I have always enjoyed tony’s in fair lakes, and tony’s in haymarket… assuming they are affiliated somehow, which I think they are). The salad was great — all very fresh and crispy — and not all wet — that’s the worst. Good italian dressing. I enjoyed it. I judge most italian places on the quality of their eggplant parm(usually entrée, but a sub will do). What a disappointment. The best description I can come up with is «glop» There was nothing that in any way could remotely be considered crispy on this thing. The bread was mushy, the eggplant itself was mushy and disintegrating. The sauce was tasty, and the cheese was fine. I understand that anything fried like that doesn’t travel well — I’ve accounted for that. And still — ick. It really turned me off to the whole place. If I had to guess, it seemed like it had been sitting in a steam table until someone ordered it. I’d have gladly waited 10 – 15 min extra for something that had been fried and assembled freshly for me. At some point I’ll probably go back and try other things. But that last experience has turned me off to that location for a while. (the cannoli was tasty — not too sweet — crispy. just right)

Came here for lunch on a sunday around 2ish and it was some what packed. We ordered a steak and cheese sub, spinach and broccoli calazone, a slice of broccoli and chicken pizza and a slice of cheese pizza on a thicker crust. Pizzas are already made and cooked, so all they are doing is just reheating it, which takes about 10 – 15 mins depending on how busy they are. My broccoli and chicken pizza was paper thin till you get one inch towards the crust. The topping and sauce was fantastic, so other than that paper thin part, it’s not bad. Paper thin and soggy pizza could only mean they stretched out the dough too much. I took a bite of the steak and cheese sub and that was good too. The calazone however was different, the bottom of the cal was greasy and soggy. The dome of the calazone is only for presentation in my opinion. The dome is crunchy and Breadless, I litterly picked out the broccoli in the calazone and threw the rest away. I would stay away from their calazones, stick to their pizzas and subs.
