Small and intimate, got the feeling its a gem for regulars. I went for a comedy show on Tuesday night that Langston runs. Great show and full drinks. I wasn’t prepared for how twisted I would become later that night. I forgot the name of this place until I Unilocaled for a dance locale a few weeks later. Dancing, comedy. Seems to have something for many a one.

Went here last night for a quick drink with some friends and played pool for a bit. Happy hour is great! Drafts for 5 $ and pool for $ 1 and goes until 8pm. The bartender was really chill too. Will deff go again :)

Bartender is so nice. Prices are great! Looove the backyard, so cozy and open. Then the downstairs is spacious and even cozier with lots spacious booths and a pool table. Such a hidden gem!

Awesome spot!!! The girls take over the bar on Tuesdays and Fridays they are super cool bartenders and really nice people! They let you chose what to put on the TVs and they even give people a go at the music selection. Been going in for almost a month on those days and plan to keep going. Also there’s free comedy on Tuesday and it’s pretty hilarious

This bar has a lot going for it. The backyard is roomy and if you can overlook the graffiti of a Kim Kardashian look-alike booty, cool. The bartenders are all really friendly and helpful in recommending drinks. There’s free comedy on Tuesdays! And DJs on Fridays and Saturdays. There’s also a pool table in the basement. If you go in the middle of the week, you may have the bar to yourself. If you go on the weekend, it’ll be packed.

Cool bar with decent beer selection and really neat decour, the female bartenders were hip, a little too hip, with regards ignoring patrons for their buddies all in all awesome place I’ll be back.

Came in here on a cold, blustery night for some drinks with friends from out of town. They wanted something cozy and cheap and Bar Reis delivered! $ 6 well drinks, two bar areas(one smaller upstairs, and one bigger with pool tables downstairs), and a great vibe!

I love this place! Reis is awesome! So laid back and fun. Great spot to have get togethers, esp on the first Friday of each month when DJ Susan Z Anthony spins an awesome mix of music!!!

Great atmosphere in a bar that looks far smaller than it really is. Recommended for medium-sized groups.

As you enter, what appears to be a small space quickly leads to a spiral staircase that takes you to a room overlooking the main bar area. It gives the feeling of an indoor balcony. Turn to your right and follow the tunnel like space down about 4⁄5 steps into the basement, where you’ll find a cozy room with booth seating. The walls are sooooo pwetty. Sort of a rough brick finish(see photo). There’s a bar here as well but it wasn’t being used when I visited. There’s a pool table in the basement as well. Really great for making friends, hey Gustav, Anna, Sharuk Khan and Mr. Morocco! It’s a good spot for couples but guys I won’t recommend a first date here unless you want her to think you’re about to film the next murder she wrote. It’s winter so that’s the feel I got. Eerily nice. The basement can open into a backyard but it was cold out and the doors were locked. From the peep I got it looks nice. The barman was awesome. Even very diplomatic in the way he closed off the pool area. He looks like a rock star or a Jonas Brother if you’re into the type of thing. He doled out some mean whiskeys, very nice servings! I like it here, I really do. The End.

What can I say. Bar Reis is, by far, the best dive bar in the area. With a solid selection of drinks– drafts, bottles, cans, cocktails, and wines– and affordable prices, as well as amazing ambiance, it definitely exceeds expectations. I ordered the Winter Lager on draft; my friend ordered the Malbec. Normally, I cringe at the thought of wine at a dive bar; however, the bottle was opened in front of us, and it wasn’t at all bad! And of course my lager was good. With both an upstairs and a downstairs, there is more than enough space, too!

This bar has great drinks and a great ambience to it. There were two bartenders who served me a bald gentlemen maybe late thirties who was fantastic and energetic and just so amazingly polite, and a ruder younger taller gentleman who came in to relieve him. I do love this bar and their specialty drinks so I will continue to come here but will be avoiding the rude bartender.

Great vibe and good energy in this joint. Has a back patio and pool table downstairs. Good music and the bar tenders Tania and Elaine were quite memorable. I wish I lived closer.

Great local bar! Manages to stay somewhat divey just to spite the gluten free neighborhood it’s in. The upstairs front wall opens up to the street, there is a cool little loft on the first floor, the downstairs has a pool table, and there’s a backyard! Great cool seating options for what looks like a small hole in the wall bar from the street. The drinks are cheap and the bartenders are nice, I always enjoy being in the neighborhood so I can swing by for a quick drink(that somehow always turns into a few).

I dig. I haven’t been here on prime time during a weekend yet, but am excited to try it out instead of its noisy neighbor High Dive sometime. I like a bar where you can generally feel like you fit in no matter what you’re wearing. Unless you look like a homeless person, Bar Reis will do. $ 6 drinks, you know, like a normal NYC bar. Two floors and an outdoor area fo’ SUMMATIME.

I like this bar more than most bars in the area. The bartender was awesome, made great drinks, and hung out with us for an hour prior to closing for some good conversation. Loft upstairs for some privacy, fun bar downstairs for friendly chatter. Cash only.

Strangely enough I live fairly close but have never entered this place in 2 years, until this week. Why not? I’m not exactly sure. I think for a while they served Mexican food, then stopped, so I put it on, then off the food radar. Meanwhile the street-facing bar room seems tiny and is rarely hopping. In other words, when you walk by it doesn’t strike you as a festive place. Upon going there, however, it’s much more diverse… a small upstairs, a big basement with a pool table and a large back yard. This would be my perfect abode. I’m still not sure if it’s the type of place you might stop by on your own for a post-work bev. But it’s definitely a place you should go with friends and have a drink in the sun, under the stars or at a cozy table.

Bar Reis is relaxed — almost suspiciously so. The bar is comfortable in its own skin, exuding an urban rusticness, with seating you can sink into and a patio perfect for smoking up[1]. Hell, even their ceiling has character. There’s a table to shoot pool, and trivia buffs can hit up Reis Wednesdays for trivia night — the patrons don’t bite. Though if you’re seeking privacy, there’s a loft overlooking the bar that looks like it was made for snogging sessions [2]. Reis is yet another reason to visit Park Slope. [1] Not like that. Well… maybe. [2] And unisex bathrooms too, if you’re into that. But seriously, get a room.
