I found this spot while doing a show at Gallery Players! Great quick spot! Inexpensive and great fillings with the dumplings! I go as often as I can. I know I’ve used a lot of exclamation points in this post but hats how excited I am about this little joint. Check it out!

The pan fried dumplings here are delicious. I got the beef and chives and my friend got the veggie. Both were great. I also got the melt in your mouth beef stew which was a little disappointing. There was a lot of fatty parts in the beef and the taste wasn’t mind-blowing. Regardless, if definitely go back for the dumplings. They’re too good to pass up.

The best dumplings in Brooklyn. Favorite dish: Dumpling noodle soup with rice noodles, spicy beef & kimchi dumplings. Super fast service. Cash only. No delivery.

This place is an institution. You do not come here for ambiance. You do not come here for fine dining. You do not come here for fancy. This place has yummy dumplings. Plain and simple. For 3.50 you get 5 amazing dumplings sent from the heavens. My personal favorite are the pork & chive and spicy beef kimchi. The place is cash only, so be prepared. Sometimes it takes a bit to get your order since a lot of the business comes from takeout. Completely worth it.

Cash only. No delivery. Which, let’s be honest, has saved my waistline. If you could order this on seamless and they delivered, I’d be in big trouble. Not much seating on the inside, so if it’s busy I recommend getting it to go. The dumpling noodle soup is a favorite of mine, as are all of the dumplings. I prefer mine pan seared, but enjoy the shrimp, chicken and cilantro ones steamed. Delicious!

Perfectly fried veggie dumplings. My only hang up is that there is no real dumpling sauce only vinegar and soy sauce. The homemade lemonade taste like water with a slice of lemon.

I really like this place when I want to grab a snack on the go or just to sit in for a bit. I have tried the veggie dumplings($ 3.50) which I am a fan of. That is the one item I go back for each time. My friend tried the chicken, shrimp, cilantro dumpling($ 3.50) and enjoyed it as well. The mocha desserts they have are also quite good. I had them a while back and remember liking them all. Clean space, clean bathroom, good service, good prices. It’s worth a shot. It may just become your own regular spot.

I came here the other day for the first time. I was expecting them to serve«juicy dumplings» you know, dumplings with soup in them. Nope — no exotic dumplings here. I waited a long time for cold sesame noodles and dumplings. When I got home, they had forgotten the dumpling sauce. The sauce is very important. Made my first experience not so memorable. When I arrived, they had a wide selection of choices on their menu. I ordered the cold sesame noodles, and fried vegetable dumplings. The cold sesame noodles came with a very light, bland sauce. Not the sesame noodles that I am used to. I wouldn’t order them again because they didn’t have much of a peanut flavor, or any type of flavor. I had what type of vegetables were in the dumplings, and if the sesame noodles were thicker or thinner noodles. The cashier was friendly enough, but didn’t know the answers to either. She made me feel crazy for asking these questions. The seating area is small and quaint. A nice place to sit down to order dumplings. If I ever go back, I am going to order steamed dumplings, and maybe scallion pancakes. I won’t go out of my way to come back here.

Yum yum. Super tasty and super reasonably priced. If I lived in this area I’d come here all the time! Yay

The veggie dumplings are better steamed in my opinion. The baos are delightfully fluffy and chewy. The scallion pancakes are a bit greasy, but still yummy. My only complaint is that they still use styrofoam as take out containers.

Being on a bar crawl in the dead of winter at some point along Fifth Avenue in Park Slope my friend Steph P. decided that we were hungry and needed nourishments to keep chugging along. We stepped inside after I heard a squee and saw a pause. We like dumplings. We like dumplings quite a bit. The spot is very tiny with just a few seats along a wall but they have a beautiful chandelier decorating their ceiling, the place is super clean, and they have my favorite sriracha hot sauce along with soy sauce and vinegar. We went with splitting an order of their chicken and shrimp, cilantro steamed dumplings, which were priced at $ 3.50 for 5 dumplings. A small-ish order for a pretty heavy price for just dumplings. Though, these were higher quality than your average run of the mill dive Chinese take-out, but still not at cheap China Town perfection dumpling level. The skins were thinner and not super doughy, the meat inside was tasty and had a really pleasant kick with that cilantro. But it was still lack-luster and it took longer to churn out from their kitchen than I would have liked since I had our bar crawl on a timed itinerary. Would I come back? If I passed it, probably because Park Slope is seriously lacking in some good dumplings. Its a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Like a few others here, I was hyped for this place. I was first shown this place by a co worker, who lives in Queens and said the Queens location was really good and they recently opened one up in Brooklyn. So of course being the Brooklynite that I am, I venture out to this spot afterwork for dinner plans with the bf. Décor: The decoration of this place is really cute, there is only two tables at this location so they are not meant for groups at all. But if you are here for a quick bite, then this spot would be okay. And don’t even think about a date — sure way to not get a call back afterwards. Service: The staff is nice, the lady was helpful with the selection. There is only one staff at the counter, and I’m guessing more staff in the kitchen. Food: It all goes downhill from here. We ordered the steam beef and kimchi dumplings, regular chicken and two of the noodle soups. The steam dumplings were tasteless and the skin was dry. The noodle soup was bland and the pork belly had a weird texture that tasted can… I was disappointed and definitely will not be back. There are better tasting and cheaper dumplings throughout NYC.

I really want to like this place, but I can’t. I’m Chinese, I’m not being picky, but I am looking for overall standard. The filling in the shrimp, cilantro dumplings is not tasty at all. My toddler usually LOVES dumplings but he .out. I was so shocked so I tasted it. The filling just didn’t have that aromatic, fresh taste. The skin was tough and had the doughy taste The veggie dumplings were better but I also got them pan fried — you can’t really go wrong with anything that is pan fried, deep fried imo. The filling reminded me of the filling you find in egg rolls. Actually, the entire dumpling tasted like an egg roll, but in a different shape. The skin, once again, was thick. but not in a good way. The braised beef noodle soup was of standard. Something I would find in Chinatown, but not the Chinatown price. I was looking for a new spot to get dumplings for my tot, but I just can’t. I usually get my dumplings from other local [Americanized] Chinese restaurants and I think I’m going to stick to it.

Simply a Good dumpling. I got an order of 5 beef dumplings. These dumplings were stuffed with meat and fried evenly and thoroughly. 5 dumplings come out to about $ 3 so not a bad deal here. This place makes the highly rated«prosperity dumpling» in Manhattan look like the Prosperity DUMP. Huge contrast, this place is clean and well organized the other place that looks like it should have a C rating from the health dept. Upon walking in Dumplings & Things you can tell it’s a well ran establishment, the condiments are neatly placed for your use, the counters and floors are clean and the staff is efficient. These may be basic things I’m mentioning but it’s important because all the other dumpling spots I have been to suck at all these things. I would come here again if I was in the area and wanted a quick cheap bite to eat. The 5 dumplings held me over until i was able to eat dinner hours later. 4 stars here. they are the best dumpling place i have tried thus far.

There aren’t a lot of dumpling or bao options in this neighborhood(unless someone wants to enlighten me) and I was pleased a few weeks ago when I walked by and saw Dumplings & Things. First off, I would SO name a place this so I love their sense of humor already! Secondly, there is never a time that I am not in the mood for a dumpling. Dumplings are pretty much life and although I was actually on my way to meet a friend(Anna F.) for dinner I still had to stop here because, well, DUMPLINGS. I was with my friend Ingrid S. and since we were enroute to dinner we decided to split one lonely order of dumplings. At $ 3.50 for 5 I guess that’s good for Park Slope, but I’m used to better prices(and quality) from Chinatown and Flushing… but I digress. Their staff was friendly and service was pretty quick so no problems there. The space is small, but cozy and welcoming. Dumplings & Things has an interesting selection of dumplings, more than your average pork n’ chive dumpling shop. We ordered their chicken, shrimp, cilantro steamed dumplings and about 5 minutes later they were served. Their dumplings were plump and well packed and while the wrapping wasn’t as thin as I prefer, it was too thick either — they also tasted as if they were made in-house…while I can’t confirm that, they were delicious. The filling could have been better prepared or seasoned as it wasn’t very flavorful. The chicken was definitely bland, but that wasn’t anything that some soy sauce couldn’t fix right up… Cholula sauce would have been even better, but they didn’t have any… they need to get on that. In all I think Unilocal reviews are mostly right on the money with this one. Decent dumpling place, beef baos look pretty good, the dumpling soup looks even better. I would return, but I also wouldn’t go out of my way to do so. 3 stars.

Once again, Unilocal reviews prove to be spot on. I have walked by for years but never went in due to the incredibly consistent 3 stars Unilocal reviews. With Eton long gone and a dumpling craving in my belly, I finally caved and went for lunch yesterday(dining in at one of their 8 tiny seats). I so wanted to love this place as staff is really nice and prices are incredibly cheap for Park Slope(5 dumplings for $ 3.50, giant bowl of soup with 5 dumplings for $ 7, 2 bao for $ 3.50), but unfortunately, despite looking incredibly delicious(see my photo) the food is unbelievably bland. I went for the pan fried spicy beef and kimchi dumplings(which looked great but were incredibly dense and had zero spice and zero kimchi flavor), the dumpling noodle soup with the chicken and shrimp dumplings(which again was bland with the very dense dumpling meat that was indistinguishable for the spicy beef kimchi dumplings), and the sliced braised beef bao(which was the best of everything I tried… perhaps since it actually had some flavor to it). Will I go back… sure, but I think I will just go straight for the bao and skip the dumplings and soup. Since they were so nice and it does have a good vibe, maybe I will try a few other items just to give it a fair shake.

I stopped by Dumplings and Things for a quick and cheap dinner on my way home tonight. Temperature rapidly dropping, I opted for the dumpling noodle soup, choosing the pork and Napa cabbage dumplings. The dumplings themselves were tasty; the broth, noodles, and bok choy and green onions A-OK. The vinegar and Sriracha enhanced the overall flavor of the soup, making for a satisfying concoction. Definitely worth the stop!

I’m very fond of the steamed chicken dumplings. Their firm texture and lack of greasiness is a great contrast to the typical dumpling houses of Chinatown. One order of 5 pieces is $ 3.50. Not C-town cheap but way better quality!
