Worst customer service — not only was I overcharged, but the cashier(a woman working this Saturday at 1pm) gave me a snide, obnoxious smile when I politely asked her to check my order. When somebody who looked like a deadbeat manager came to «help» — I got ZERO apologies. While my price was readjusted, they could’ve at least offered something for free or at a discount. You’re working in a service industry — try to at least not act like the rude, unprofessional types of people who give the service industry a bad name. Not only will I never come here again, but I’ll never visit any of their locations or recommend them to my colleagues and friends.

Went here on a sunny Sunday afternoon starving and ready for some food. My friend and I had been walking around Williamsburg for a while looking for a place to eat and we found it. We walked in and the atmosphere was pretty relaxed, not too many people sitting and eating at all, and those that were sitting there were sitting alone. It seemed like a good place to go since we wanted something casual. I walked up to the guy at the food counter and he asked me what I wanted. I chose the basic — a chicken taco. I thought it was a pretty small taco and I wasn’t that hungry so it would be perfect size. Boy was I wrong. It was a really filling taco, I asked for all the works, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and they gave me a very generous filling. I couldn’t even lift it up to my mouth without it almost falling out of the other side. The meat was very tender and not dry at all and the vegetables were fresh. The corn tortilla was soft and still warm. I think the only critique I had was that the taco almost fell apart in my hands when the moisture seeped through the shell. It was about $ 5. It cost extra if you wanted to add guacamole or other stuff on it. We sat by the window and people watched outside. All in all though, great place to eat.

Visiting from California and this place was definitely on the top five of best Mexican I’ve ever had! Can be a little pricey but maybe that’s because I’m so used to $ 6 burritos!

I live in the area and dos toros is my go to spot for food in the area. E en when I try to find other places to eat, I always end up at dos toros. Good food and I feel it’s a bit lighter than chipotle which can be a bit too salty sometimes. I always order a pollo asado Plato with guac and extra jalapeño sauce! Delicious.

The food is excellent. The deliveries take forever. It takes them two minutes to make a burrito and an hour and a half to deliver it.

Their burritos are«to-die» for. They are a bit smaller than the ones at Chipotle, but these are oh-so-good. Love the guacamole added on too.

First time here and 2 guys on the front line thought it was the funniest thing they have heard all day. I was asking because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I had to ask for. Might sound like a dumb question but still. Felt so uncomfortable.

Dos Toros filled a much needed void on the East Coast of adequate west coast style Mexican food. In a world of mayonnaise based sauces their spicy salsa hits the spot, and their napkins have perfectly explained California burrito eating instructions.

Honestly, I actually think this place is better than Chipotle. Dos Toros has the same type of food and dining style as Chipotle, but I really think it has better flavor and fresher ingredients. It’s a great joint to grab a burrito or bowl on the go. I must say, it’s a little more pricier than Chipotle, but overall better quality.

As a native Angeleno, 9 out of 10 burritos I eat in NYC just bum me out. Especially if I’m sober, in which case they tend to trigger a serious wave of homesickness and depression in addition to the dissappointment of the shitty burrito. Well, this is that elusive 10th burrito. Not only was I not depressed after eating this burrito, I was actually happy and satisfied. The staff is totally clueless, will mess up your order even as you stand right in front of them, and is really skimpy with sauce and guacamole. That also means sometimes there’s a long, slow-moving line. However, its easily one of the better taquerias in New York.

I’ve been meaning to drop a review for this place. This is my 3rd time within a 2 week period. One of my coworkers told me about this place that I had no idea existed. I walk pass this store nearly everyday on my way to and from work. It’s rather easy to just pass this place and not know you passed it. It blends in with all the many stores on this block. If you’re craving some chipotle but can’t get to one and you’re near here definitely drop in. Servings are not that big and the seating in this place isn’t all that great but I’d recommend this place over and over. Staff is great. Haven’t had a bad experience yet. They’re all really sweet. There aren’t many choices on the menu. Plato which is a burrito bowl with your choice of meat steak, chicken, or beef. Black or pinto beans no rice choices only one rice option.

Awesome Chipotle style Mexican joint. You walk in and que up for your chance to point over a glass divider at bins rice, organic beans and fresh meats and toppings. Overall it’s a little more expensive than Chipotle and the portions are much less, but I very much enjoyed the increased ingredient quality. You can taste the better cheese, but it’s hard to argue that it’s any healthier. The hot sauces were pretty good, I actually appreciated the fact you put them on yourself once you get the food. I would highly recommend this, but be aware seating is rather limited and guacamole servings are small. Much like Chipotle, you should probably just get a side of it. Check it out if you want some good quick eats, but don’t expect the nap inducing satisfaction good Chipotle bowl or burrito will give you. At least your health will thank you.

they use a Chipotle format which I think makes it easy, yay. I was surprised with the sliced cheese though. Next time I need to ask what type they use. I tried a carnitas burrito and 1 carne asada taco. I liked it, I think the carne asada more than carnitas. Tacos I think are a tad small, or maybe I scarfed it down so fast I thought that it was. For sure would try again. I think much better than Calexico and el toro taqueria on Driggs ave. I love Chipotle and this comes in as a nice 2nd to it. Glad it’s close by and open later than Chipotle. Prices are a bit high for portion size but that’s WillyB for ya. good one.

I used to love you. I really did. I ate here or ordered delivery all the time — even though your delivery was notoriously slow — because our love was real. But you’ve changed. In the last few months, everything tastes sub-par and your food has made me sick TWICE. It’s like you don’t even care about what we used to have. The rice is always dry and cold now, just like our feelings for each other. When I order the bowl, you don’t even put the beans on top of the rice anymore! Now you put them on opposite sides of the bowl like a couple sleeping in two different beds. It’s too painful to endure and so I must leave you for better, actual taquerias.

Dos Toros is decent if you walk-in, but if you order online, be prepared to wait for approximately an hour regardless of the wait time quoted on Seamless(usually 30 – 40 minutes). The fact that they typically forget to add extra meat when it’s ordered(and paid for) is another reason for the low rating.

This place gave me some of the worst food poisoning I have ever had. It was the first meal I had upon arriving in Brooklyn, so it also ruined my entire four day trip. I don’t recommend eating here, but if you absolutely must, avoid the chicken tacos.

I don’t know why this place is rated so low! The food here is tasty, fresh, fast and most importantly CHEAP. Granted this place is far from authentic Mexican food. Its gringo Mexican food but its still good nonetheless. I don’t really like the chicken they serve here. Kind of burnt for my liking but their vegetarian option is really tasty. Burritos are half the size as those at Chipotle but I feel like they taste 10x better.

The best Taquería ever! With all my respect to mexican people, I need to say that these are the best tacos that I ever tryed. I’ve been in a lot of taco pacle, and this is for long the best one. I know these aren’t the real mexican’s taco style, but they works. The people make your taco un a couple of seconds(this is extremly good when you are hurry!), and the size is terrible good!

Fucking amazing. Actually cheap, Actually spicy. As a southwestern kid in the city I hate the general lame attempt at Mexican food. This is not one of those places. Get the habanero sauce or get out.

This is not a Chipotle knockoff. Their meat is succulent, their burritos are supreme. They have their sustainability policy front and center. People are friendly. Do yourself a favor and get a Carnitas burrito… It’ll change your life. Black beans, pico de gallo, rice, cheese… Nom nom. And it’s a steal at $ 9… An affordable meal in the area, especially considering their food supply chain is from more expensive meats/inputs overall. New favorite burrito in NYC.

Reading these reviews, you may wonder, «Is Dos Toros killing us? Are these seemingly happy employees all in on it? Is that why they’re so happy?» You’re going to want to push those thoughts way back. Like waaaaayyyy back. If you’re standing next to the Stephen Curry Fathead, you’re already in the store and if you’re already in the store, there’s no backing out. Steph is your Virgil and the Divine Dos Toros Comedy has already begun. I’m in a weird place by the time the server asks me for the third time what I would like. They always smile. I smile too. I can’t let them know that I know what they’re actually up to. They move so fast behind the counter, wielding their giant spoons like deadly assassins, dripping perfect amount of sour cream over the tall layers of pinto beans, chicken, shredded cheese and tomatoes. Like a delicious green grenade, the guacamole splatters on top of everything, and with minimal eye contact I whisper, «thank you». At the register, they smile more. I smile again. Helpless, I hand over my debit card and pay for my bowl of perfection. On my way out I take a last look at Steph. He’s on my right, his hairless body perpetually midstride. Perhaps he’s running away from Dos Toros, warning us all of our impending doom. I look back at the servers, they wave and tell me to have a nice evening. I know they’re killing me and there is nothing I can do. Dos Toros’ chicken bowl is the perfect food. Dos Toros chicken bowl is the perfect crime. I’ll see you tomorrow.

I would give this place a 3.5. To me this reminds me of chipotle and even though I am not huge fan of it either I must say I like it a little better than dos toros. The food is good and I usually get the burrito bowl that comes with yellow rice, beans, onions and peppers, chicken, sour cream, and tomato salsa. The tacos are good too as you make it how you like. Space is ok there are some seats but not a lot of them.

I seem to come here on the regular… so I think that speaks for itself. Better than Chipotle and less corporate-y. You could sit here, but I think it’s best to get it to go. SHAKEYOURBAGOFCHIPS. Just trust. The salt mingles and makes everything tasty and nom nomy.

Just moved to NY from LA and don’t really expect much from the Mexican food here based on my previous experiences and«word on the street» but figured I would still try and get my fix in. The marketing is right, the menu is right, the flavor and ingredients, not so much. I got the carne asada burrito. The meat was not good quality and the seasoning was off. I did like the rice and the smokey salsa was solid.
