Found this little treasure after being told we needed to wait an hour+ for Paulie Gee’s. What a great find?!! We ordered the Marghertia and the Fungi Misti with truffle oil. Both pies were phenomenal and amongst the best in the city. We are planning on going back. They have few locations so if you want good pizza but don’t want to wait a ridiculous amount of time then head to Fornino’s.

Descended on this gem after the misses had a craving for margarita pizza. We both opted for sangrias(best we ever had), Mushrooms and Goat cheese(you must must must try, if it’s one thing you order here. It’s this). And of course, margarita pizza which was also very good. There also appears to be outdoor seating. I have no complains and I would definitely return.

Delicious pizzas, salads, and appetizers. Really fresh ingredients, reasonably-priced wines, and great service.

Kale salad easily among the best salads I’ve ever had. House made chicken sausage was delicious and served in an adorable little cast iron pan. Spinach pizza was amazing. Enjoyed the wine, well-priced. Great service. Good atmosphere. Perfect place for a quick meal before a show. Need to go back to try the tiramisu!

Been here twice and both awesome experiences. Gotten 3 different pies and they’re all consistently delicious with fresh ingredients and well-made tomato sauce. It tastes as amazing as it looks. Solid choice if you’re craving pizza. The last time I was here, I opted for the $ 26 Al Roker(Tomato, Mozzarella, Fontina, Caramelized Onion, Roast Pepper, Sopressata, Piccante, Rosemary). It was amazzinggggg and had all my favorite ingredients, though the sopressata got salty towards the end cause I ate half a pie. A large pie is enough for 2STARVING women, or 3 regular-sized people. It’s a 8 – 10 min walk to the waterfront so it’d be nice to bring the pizza over to eat there. if you make it that far. Just ask the girls in the front for plates and lots of napkins cause it’s gunna get messy ;)

From the service to the food, this place is great. Came in on a random night with 2 friends and it was busy, but they let you leave your name and number with the host(ess) to contact you when table is ready. So this allowed some pre-meal appetite growth by popping into a bar across the way… About 30 minutes later, I get the call and we chug our beers and head back to an amazing brick-oven pizza. Pros: — service was always pleasant and attentive — the pizza will make you crave coming back. We had the Funghi Misti at the recommendation of our server, and I wish I was chewing on some now as I write this review. — since on the subject, the Funghi Misti: crust was crispy on the outside with the dough cooked perfect on the inside. Didn’t get soggy as the pizza sat which is a sign of great cook. The truffle oil was not overbearing and went great with the mushrooms. — warm ambiance and décor… nothing fancy but very comfortable Cons: — other than it can get busy and you may have to wait a bit, I can’t find any cons

This is probably my favorite place that we went to during our stay in Brooklyn. I crave their delicious truffle flavored pizza at this moment while writing this review. The place is quaint, dimly lit, and very clean. We ordered the truffle pizza and it was the best pizza my sister and I had ever had. There was just the right amount of truffle oil, which soaked into the crispy, thin base of the pizza. We even liked the crust, which was crispy and chewy, not dry at all. On each table there is also a bottle of spicy olive oil, which we tried with our pizza and enjoyed. Portion wise, we ordered one regular sized pizza and it was plenty enough for both of us.

We popped in here on Sunday around 2pm and found this place very welcoming. With about 20 or so tables, this long narrow spot also has a nice outdoor space in the back for when the weather is nice. They have a nice small menu which allows them to focus on what they are good at and also a separate brunch menu for the weekends. We tried a mix of items. We tried the calzone(mozzarella and ricotta that was fresh and good), calabrese pizza(flavorful sopressata and not too oily) and the pancetta e uova(if you like eggs on your pizza, this was a good option and not overly heavy). Everything, for the most part, was cooked well-done(best way to get char flavor on crust) which we enjoyed. We finished the meal off with some short espressos that were good as well. Overall, the service was friendly, atmosphere was casual and prices were fair for what we ordered. After tax and tip with a drink each, it came out to roughly $ 25/person which I thought was good. Buon appetito.

Come here regularly; I promise you won’t find better pizza in Williamsburg, or in New York. Plus, the service is amazing and everyone who works there is super friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful! I’m addicted and will miss it dearly if I ever move.

Hands down the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Service was excellent and the pizza was phenomenal. You can tell the ingredients are really fresh and the crust is a perfect combination of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I’m so glad I live so close to here! Definitely going back all the time.

Our favorite pizza in Greenpoint. Paulie G’s is good and deserves the accolades, but if you want amazing pizza that you don’t have to wait an hour for, then this is your place. I only wish I were in my twenties again so my metabolism could handle more regular visits. Don’t ever close, Fornino. Don’t ever close.

Ended up at dinner at Fernino’s on Tuesday night with my two sons, 12 and 14 years old. The service was impeccable and friendly, but the food phenomenal. We shared portobello mushroom with goat cheese to begin with, which was delicious. The boys had calzone and pizza to share and I opted for one of the special salads of the day. WOW we were all impressed, savoring each and every bite. We did not have any left overs to take home. Of course we also could not resist and ordered tiramisu for desert, with addition of the strawberry ice cream. Finger licking good. Definitely coming back! Great place, fabulous little find!!!

Excellent pizza! Reasonably priced and the food, service and vibe all great. One of our regular haunts for several years now and a go-to when guests are in town. Extra thin pizza crust is most welcome as it highlights the delicious toppings. We have always eaten in house so I don’t know how it is delivery-wise.

The pizza and sampler appetizer was delicious, however salter than I had expected. Customer service isn’t the best, our waiter did not seem to care much about being at work and he dressed as though he just woke up wearing loose, baggy t-shirt with denim.

LOVE this place! The pizzas are comparable to the pizza I had for a week in Naples, Italy. The margherita DOC is perfect– The tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella, dough are fresh and mouth-watering. Jane the server who has served us several times is wonderful! I’m here eating now, so I’m going to end my review and enjoy.

This Pizza spot is keeeeewl. They offer inside and outside seating and wine, beer, and sangria for the liquor. Had the Al Roker and Margarita pizzas, both solid. Will need to get that Sangria next time, it looked good.

Just ordered the large Genovese(Mozzarella, Ricotta, Pesto, Cherry Tomato, Parmigiano) for myself and my co-workers. The customer service was friendly, quick, efficient and professional via phone. The delivery came SUPER fast… I think it took maybe 20 minutes from the time I hung up. The pizza was delicious, definitely was not disappointed. The crust is thin, crispy and flaky, it provided a nice contrast to the soft toppings, all of which looked very fresh. It was just enough to be filling and tasty, but not so much to leave me feeling weighed down or grossed out after tearing through 3 slices. Not sure how much slices are, but the large pie was $ 21. Not the cheapest price one could find for a good tasting pizza, but not exorbitant based on the quality. I’ll definitely try it again next time I’m craving pizza.

I’m not one to put pizza on a pedestal(Note to self: a pizza pedestal is a brilliant idea. Patent that pronto!) But I must say, almost everything at this establishment is sure to please. Funghi Misti all the way!

Cute place with very good pizza. I highly recommend the truffle one, it was heavenly. And the servers here are very sweet and attentive. I would only suggest that someone over there train them how to correctly pronounce the ingredients… I could almost hear the Italian Americans turning in their graves when the gentleman serving us said«mozzarella, parmesan, & parsley» as if it were at Friday’s in middle America.

Absolutely incredible. Bravo. The meatballs were amazing and the sauce was even better. We had the Calabrese pizza and the truffle one. WOW. Some of the best pizza I ever had. Nice chill and cozy atmosphere too along with a very friendly waitress. Can’t wait to come back!

FORNINO, JUST before I moved out of NYC I finally discovered you and now you’re one of the TOP3 pizza places I’ve tried in NYC(alongside Luzzo’s and Rubirosa, all good for different types of pizza). I love your crust with that charred bite and good saltiness. Oh why didn’t I discover you earlier? they serve their pies in 2 sizes, we probably shouldn’t have finished a small size each but somehow we managed –FUNGHIMISTI: this is probably the best«white» pizza i’ve had in NYC, the truffle oil is yummy but again it’s just fornino’s crust that makes ALLTHEDIFFERENCE —4 Stagoni: we wanted to try a red pizza with prosciutto but i think we shoulda stuck to a margherita. i ended up picking off all the olives and eggplant because they were overwhelming yummy pizza & no line or wait on a sunday during lunch? SCORE

Their pizza is thin crust and has very generous topping. I happen to have ordered the spinach with egg. It had 3 eggs! Big enough even for 2 people or if you’re a big eater — for 1. I will come back!

Stuffed and satisfied. What more could a girl ask for in bed, or in food? This is some of the best pizza in Brooklyn. And there are quite a few contenders in the surrounding area. This place offers swift service with a smile and gave me a table so I could sit and wait for my first take-out experience. I can’t rave enough about the service here because there are so many food establishments that get the food right, but totally forget that dining out(and even taking food to go) are about the entire experience. At Fornino, there’s no shortage of people trying to assist you whether that’s your water glass, exchanging silverware you dropped, or just making sure that everything you about you visit will be pleasant. My most recent trip involved the meatballs, which were melt-in-my-mouth yummy and juicy. These big, tender balls were served up with a doughy finger of focaccia and a tiny bit of melted cheese. They were swimming in a savory sea of marinara sauce. They say«the art and science of pizza» and they genuinely mean it. The toppings are vast and fresh and the pizza has a wonderful char and is the authentic thin crust I crave on an almost daily basis. Not to mention, the whole place smells like warm truffles, cheese and love. If you like any one or combination of those things… you should be making your way to one of Fornino’s locations.

Ordered: Lombardi pizza Pros– The pizza crust was the perfect consistency between dough-y and crispy. The arugula had a nice acidity. It’s one of their three most popular pizzas. I would highly recommend.

My first time here yesterday, I attempted to go to the forninos near the pier where everyone raves about the rooftop view but was unable to find parking so we came to this spot instead. I ordered the margheritta Classic as per most of your recommendation and my friend got the funghi misti we both got a small pie and white sangria pitcher. This place smells like pizza heaven right when you walk in, I chose outdoor seating because it was a nice day yesterday and it was perfect cause there was an outdoor umbrella over our table and a nice breeze. Everyone around me ordered salad before their pizza so I must be missing out on something, this is a place I will definitely come back to! My margheritta Classic was delicious and fresh out of the oven they have a bottle of olive oil and mini condiments on every table so you can add to your hearts content, I devoured it in about 10 – 15 minute and my friends funghi misti smelled like truffle heaven, it comes with mushrooms and it was my first time having truffle oil on a slice and I must say I am a fan! I usually don’t like truffle oil on my food cause I’ve tried umami truffle burger and it was just heavy oily greasy and not that great ever since that time I avoided truffle on my food but I caved when I saw all the Unilocal recommendations. The white sangria was light and refreshing, it is served with pieces of apple and peach in it. Although I’ve definitely had better white sangria this was still good. I highly recommend getting a pitcher instead of a glass because I had about 7 cups and my friend had about 4 cups from a pitcher which cost only like $ 6 more than 2 cups of it!(1 pitcher = $ 24, 2 cups = $ 18… Do the math) Next time I come back I would like to try something with prosciutto in it! If you haven’t been here guys you are definitely missing out!

Randomly step upon this place while looking for friends, I am very impressed with the layout and quality of food they have. The outside beach benches are welcoming to all. The service is very slow here. You need to take action and hunt down a wait staff. They normally rush by your table so be prepared. Pricing wise is expensive. if you can hang around this area, I doubt money is an issue for you.

I have such a love/hate relationship with Williamsburg. But I had no idea such a pizza joint existed, especially since I used to work three blocks away from here. I had bought a Groupon for this place awhile back and decided to use it. The voucher granted us each a personal pizza and a bottle of wine. I got the«Al Roker» which was perfect(weird name, I know) because I don’t like too much cheese on my pizza. It had soppressata, caramelized onions, roast pepper, and rosemary on a tomato base. Soooo delish! Hit all the right spots. And I loved how thin the crust was. The pizzas are big enough to keep you feeling full, trust me. We split a bottle of Montepulciano red which was a fail and ended up finishing dinner off with sodas instead. Overall, best Groupon deal ever. You really got a bang for your buck on this one.
