Walked in because I’ve walked by so many times and thought the space was beautiful. I ordered a house special lemonade and a cappuccino and waited 20 minutes for these two to be deliver to my table. This should have been a 5 – 7 minute tops operation. Would not recommend

I’ve walked past Kos a million times but never bothered to check it out. My colleague suggested meeting there, and I was pleasantly surprised. The prices are fair, and the service was quick and friendly on my visit. The house blend is a good cup of coffee, not too acidic or burnt(like Starbucks). They have those buy 10 get one free cards. There are plenty of tables, packed closely enough that you can poke your neighbor(this is New York, after all). But it still manages to feel comfortable. The best part is that it’s relatively quiet. I’m not sure if there was music playing or not, but it was at a low enough volume that you can concentrate and do work or have a conversation. There was no stroller brigade or screaming toddlers. The design of the place is functional, not particularly inspired(and probably why I walked by so many times). And the neighborhood still needs a place to meet for coffee or tea that is open past 7 pm. That said, I will happily come here again.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Park Slope. Freshly roasted coffee, pleasant atmosphere… Highly recommend their iced coffee latte. The prices are equivalent to Starbucks, but the quality is better. Food is tasty, but overpriced. If anything, try one of their bakery items.

Finding a comfortable coffee spot in Park Slope is one of the easier assignments to undertake. This shop was bustling at mid-afternoon but we were able to grab one of the few open tables. Ordering and getting our coffee and tea was a bit disorganized. But once received, all was good. Always like getting my coffee in real China versus paper. Tea came in a big pot. Choice of a baked good was somewhat limited but the molasses coffee was a good one. Nice alternative to a Starbucks.

Best Chai latte in town. If you like all milk. Always full with people gotta tell you something about the place attracted me at first because of the name and always circle back here when I can :)

This place is great. Fantastic drinks for reasonable prices. The ambiance is fantastic, with chairs, booths, and counters spread around. Wifi is available for phones and laptops, but there are time restrictions for laptops. Regardless, this is the best place to sit with a friend and chat over yummy warm drinks!

Kos has been my go-to spot since I moved to Park Slope three years ago. Their grilled cheese(with caramelized onion) soups and salads are fantastic. The staff is super friendly and it almost feels like home. Only drawback: the ventilation system is not great, and your clothes will smell like Kos for the day… So not ideal if you are planning to meet someone afterwards.

Incredibly rude! The shop was mostly empty and they kicked me out of my table mid-bite of breakfast for using a laptop. Very rigid policy and awkwardly administered by the unkind staff. Also, the coffee is lousy.

I am a fan of this place. Love their chai latte, their sandwiches and the environment. The only thing crazy is that they are pretty expensive. Breakfast for two $ 40? Mmmm… What did we brake? But the place is great! Their greens are always fresh.

You have to come here with a certain state of mind to enjoy it. You should not be in a hurry. If you have a laptop, you should follow the rules around when and where you can use it. If you need to grab a quick bite, go somewhere else. If you want to sit and chat with a friend over an unlimited amount of time, then you might be happy here. I’ve always had good experiences, except in the summer when the lack of AC makes it sometimes unbearable to stay here. But overall I’m a fan. They serve a delicious hot chocolate, and good salads and sandwiches.

Let me just put it plainly: Never Again. I waited for close to 10 minutes before either of the 2 workers acknowledged me standing at the register. The barista was in a very involved conversation with a customer and the guy working the register was just acting very busy counting money. The barista could have asked me what I wanted, gotten it for me and rung me up, instead of talking. What is he being paid for? All I wanted was a green tea and a muffin to go. I have never had a good experience here and this was the last straw. There are so many other places in the neighborhood that actually care about the customers.

I’m seeing a lot of reviews that have a similar experience to mine. I went here to buy an iced coffee and thinking it was a roasting house, I’d assume it would be on point. I waited over 22 minutes, yes 20 minutes(I timed it), from when we walked in to me getting a black iced coffee. There were 5 individuals in front of us and 2 – 3 workers. They were moving at a snails pace. The food selection looked mediocre with an extremely high price tag. Theres an overly complicated laptop policy with internet use that seems to be the size of an essay. I didnt use a laptop here, but if I did, I swear it would be more complicated than taking the LSATS. Overall, I got a ‘meh’ coffee, that took an outrageously long time to order.

Yikes. Confusing food procedures and slow AF service. Ordered an overpriced fruit bowl and waited 10 minutes. Had to go up with my ticket to see if to actually coming or if I was supposed to pick it up. Otherwise, it’s a good location with giant windows. There seems to be an overly complicated laptop regulation — probably not worth it to park here for a read or study session.

Was just kicked out of here for using my laptop. Even though there’s no sign saying not to use it. Also to note — the guy next to me on his iPad was explained as «totally fine because that’s different.» Seriously?! Also — the iced chai with sim I ordered was clearly made with whole milk. I live around the corner and will now walk farther to any of the many other coffee shops in the neighborhood.

This place has decent coffee with the biggest attitudes and slowest service. It’s a shame, because the space is so great and the coffee is pretty good, too. But not good enough to have to put up with the serious attitude problem of the people that work there, no matter who’s working. Considering how many other coffee places I visit in Brooklyn I don’t understand how long you have to wait for a couple of coffees even when nobody’s on line. Shame. They might make it(until the lease is up) as they seem to have a large enough single Macbook crowd.

Stopped in to grab a coffee while waiting to meet friends. This place is so cute and def worth checking out. The coffee was good and the staff was friendly. What more can you ask for?

This was a great place to stop. Market salads and fresh coffee and tea. The park slope Starbucks. So popular to sit and hang out that they had to restrict where you could work on your laptop during certain hours. Unfortunately, not everyone listens, so we had to split up and sit separately. I had the lentil salad and basil lemonade and both were fresh and tasty! The salad was served with fresh multigrain bread that insisted on being enjoyed. We also had the egg salad sandwich and an Arnold Palmer. How cool is it when you’re asked what kind of tea do you want the Arnold Palmer made with. The egg salad was chunky and served with fresh, thick potato chips. A little slow to order as there is only one person at the counter, but it was worth the wait.

Came here and despite saying I wasn’t going to order food from here again… I did. I got a veggie frittata which I did not like. It was rather bland. I didn’t need the butter knife(thank god). It was gross! How could the workers have the right mind to wrap that silverware in a napkin and think it’s ok to give it to a customer? As if ANYONE would want to use a knife with someone else’s food(and very likely saliva) residue. If the dish washer can’t get things clean, I don’t want to use their mugs, plates or anything none disposable from here. Very upset.

I love this place. Great mochas and food: especially the lentil soup and grilled cheese sandwich. They’ve recently amended their liberal laptop use policy so that unlimited laptop use only happens at the large communal table to the right as you walk in and at the counters. Otherwise, laptops prohibited M-F 12−3pm, and 10am-4pm weekends and holidays. The only drawbacks are the annoyingly loud noises and heat emanating from the roaster.

I have my cousin and his teenage son with me in tow traveling through Brooklyn. I need coffee and lots of it. Teenager says, are there any Starbucks close by? I want a Crappachino. What??? I say, I’m going to order you something that is going to rock your world. After today, you will be a $tarbucks hater. Two Mocha Lattes please (And one espresso macchiato) He took a sip and was like, this is like a hot chocolate but with coffee?! OMG! Another convert Kos Kaffe Roasting House is just that, when you walk inside you’re facing a huge roaster. Now I’m not sure if they are in fact roasting coffee beans or its just for show. This is a nice coffee house where they have fresh baked goods and their coffee is ta die for. The espresso macchiato was made perfectly, with just a touch of cream. Heaven! The hipster element is high, lotsa folks sitting around with their MacBooks on a rainy Saturday drinking espresso. It’s all good, hipsters don’t bother me. A Unilocaler wrote about a maple latte? It sounds a little kookie but I’m willing to try it here. If you want real coffee from a locally owned coffee house then Kos Kaffe Roasting House is your spot. $ 10 minimum on debt/credit cards
