They are the most famous of Brooklyn, worth going. They are in a central location where forces spend if you visit Brooklyn, you can order with chili, sauerkraut, onion, etc. to your liking. The price you pay is $ 5– $ 7

A far more greater than the expected food taste. We came here early in the afternoon so we could get some of their greatest dogs. Ordered the Chicago style hotdog, we get to watch while the vendor was making it. It taste really good, love how it taste like. Will come again and would love to have their dogs again.

this is a strange place. The hot dogs are sub par and the owner is surly. I’ve seen him yelling at passers by. I would not recommend.

So much more than just a hot dog! Hi had a kimchi dog and was blown away! So yummy and different! Loved it! My fiancé had the texas meal dog and it was also grade A. All the ingredients are organis, well thought out and cared for. You can tell that the owners are very serious about their craft!

Brought the family(wife, kids, and dog!) to The Landing, had a great time. The guy running the place was very friendly, even gave the dog a free dog(pun maybe slightly intended). We ordered a bunch of Brooklyn Dogs for the kids, and shared an El Paso Texas chili dog and Curry Wurst and Chicago-style dog ourselves. The normal dogs are $ 3, the fancier ones are $ 4 – 6. We stumbled upon the place by accident, going to the Hillside dog run(best dog run I’ve seen in the city, so far!). It’s right down the hill from the dog run, within sight of the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, set up in one side of a parking lot(!). He’s got the hot dog cart, plus a few tables and chairs set up. And, if you’re desperate, there’s a porta-potty to relieve yourself. The hot dogs were good — I’d say the Chicago style was probably my favorite, but I enjoyed them all. The chili was decent, not great. The curry wurst was very good(although our friend from Germany makes better ;)). And they were as friendly as could be. They even threw in a hotdog and the kids’ drinks for free. Awesome place, totally recommended. Next time I’ll try the kimchi dog.

The Landing could be five stars if they calmed down with the vinegar that’s in their toppings. The dogs are Vienna’s, obviously, and taste like nicely steamed namesakes, however, some of their toppings, such as the chili and bratwurst sauce, although made with top notch ingredients, taste sour because of the heavy amount of vinegar mixed in. Other than that, the place is pretty cool. It’s in a side parking lot, has nice wooden tables and the owner takes pride in his cart and it shows. I would say stick with the plain dogs until the toppings kinks are worked out. He also needs to overstock on the poppyseed buns.

Had the Tex Mex dog and it was great(fork and knife provided). The homemade mustard and chili were key. The owner is incredibly friendly as well. The space is a little uninviting, but the limited seating is comfortable enough. And, honestly, you won’t be sitting there long.

When I saw the Vienna Beef umbrella, I knew we’d found the spot. I had been on a Chicago style hot dog hunt all afternoon — visiting Hot Diggity Dog in Windsor Terrace(good, but not truly classic Chicago style), then Willie’s Dogs in Park Slope(tasty, but nothing like a Chicago dog) — when I finally made my way down to The Landing. It’s an inconspicuous gravel lot behind a concrete wall with a hot dog truck parked in the corner. The owner, a fantastically friendly man, was serving up hot dogs in several regional styles — Brooklyn, Tex Mex, a German bratwurst — but he seemed extra pleased when we ordered a Chicago style dog. He suggested we try his homemade spicy mustard, and I’m glad we did. The hot dog was dressed in traditional Chicago style with mustard, relish, onions, tomato wedges, sport peppers, a pickle wedge and celery salt on a Vienna Beef hot dog on a poppyseed bun. Spot on. The owner even gave us a bunch of extra sport peppers to take home with us since they are so hard to find outside of Chicago. Looking forward to when he expands his business as planned into a full restaurant with burgers, fries and the dogs and BYOB drinking.

$ 4 hot dog from a stand??? For real? Fine, boyfriend, go spend your Washingtons on a lousy dog hawked to dumb Brooklyn Bridge tourists. I bet they don’t even have those red saucy onions. .. . Well, now. That DOES look pretty good. It’s not a NY dog? It’s a Chicago dog? What’s what? Hot dog with mustard, onions, relish, a pickle spear, peppers and tomatoes? That sounds good. Hmm, no thanks, I’m good. .. . Well, ok, maybe just one more bite. Can you tilt it upwards so I can get at the pickle better? Thanks, sweetie!
