The sushi was good, the service was good too, but were surprised when our bill came to over $ 70 for two of us on a Monday. We ate two appetizers, one miso soup, 2 green teas, 2 special rolls, 6 pieces of sashimi(salmon is farmed, mackerel dry) and a simple spicy tuna roll. Probably was about $ 20 more than we thought the experience was worth. The spicy tuna wasn’t the greatest quality, mushed up fish with a lot of crispy bits. The yellowtail ceviche was sparse in hindsight. The ninja roll was good but was it worth the price? Not really. Service was good, not overly attentive or outstanding. Our waitress changed midway without warning, after we ate our table was left uncleared and not cleaned. Gave it a shot but won’t return.

I’ll edit my star rating after I get my food. But Google Maps says the restaurant is a 10-minute drive away, and I received a «food is on its way» text at 12.44PM. It is 1:58PM. What gives? Where did the food go? I should’ve read everyone else’s reviews regarding delivery…

Is this the best sushi you’ll ever have? Probably not, but they are consistently very good, and their delivery is always on time. Costumer service is friendly and if they make mistakes or are late with delivery they give you credit. I order from them at least once a week and will continue to do so.

Ordered sushi and ramen for dinner just to try this place out. It’s a couple blocks away so I ordered pickup. It was ready in less than 15 minutes at 8:30 on a Saturday night. Not bad. Sushi was better than the ramen in my opinion. I got the spicy tuna roll and it was a good size. Also got the calamari which was average. Would probably order from them again.

This place has the lightest, freshest ramen bowls I’ve had in a while. The in-house service was NOT bad at all despite what others said. It was efficient and fast. If you have lived in an Asian country like I have you will know that this is typical. My son loved his sushi. It’s a nice, quick spot to get some yummy food before a movie with your family. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been to WAZA many times, having experienced probably most of the menu. I’ve never had a bad experience. I think once, my hubby ordered a wine that he didn’t like, but there was delay in offering a replacement. The staff have always been very friendly and, again, the food has never disappointed. We travel from Ditmas Park to dine here, and we have a sushi spot on the corner of our block; that’s how much we dig this joint.

Not bad, not bad. Spent $ 12 on 2 pork bun appetizers, and a sweet potato roll. The sweet potato roll was warm and crispy. 8 decently sized pieces. The pork bun left a little to be desired. The pork wasn’t especially flavorful, but I wasn’t looking for the world’s best pork bun so this will do for a decent lunch option. I’ll be back.

Horrible service… as I am finding most places on Myrtle Ave are. So so food… Overpriced for what it is. –While I was dining there it so was’t busy but just to get a refill on water was difficult –The people who«worked» there were more interested on playing on their iPhones or gossiping with each other or taking a nap at the back tables. –The ramen was something I could of taken out of a package and made at home on my stovetop… like packaged ramen. Run don’t walk away from this place… Go to the island there are plenty better quality places to get ramen and sushi.

Terrible delivery service and cold food. Refused to deliver to my door and come up a walk up. Food took an hour from less than 1 mile away and was cold upon delivery.

I am fxxking angry today. I ordered 18.79dolars food for delivery. I gave the delivery guy20d. And I said I have no change today,I always gave like 3d tips. This guy was so fxxking rude with saying:fxxk you. I was shocked, cuz I have go to WaZa like 2 times per week at least. Even tough 1.25d for tip is kinda little,I was a good costumer for about 2 years. This is the last time I ordred from this fxxking stupid restaurant. Never!

To my sister and my surprise, the restaurant followed up our review and apologized for the previous bad service after few weeks. The food quality of the restaurant is great and it is our favorite take out Japanese restaurant in NY.

UPDATE: My mom got me take out from here and I admit their sushi is friggen fantastic, especially the one covered in avacado(no odea which one sorry), veggie tempurra was alright nothing special, but my god their FRIEDBANANA thing is so friggen amazing. I will come here just for the fried banana thing.(the roll and banana is what brought my score from 2 star to 3 star) delivery was ontime so no problems there. ORIGINAL: This place is ok, never have seen it busy so may not just be me. Ive never been a fan of veggy based soups and that is all they have here(sorry fellow miso lovers) the noodles are fine but the ramen is very plain and not worth 13 bucks to me. I also have had their eel avocado roll which was good but again, not work 6 bucks for just those two ingredients and rice. Their pork sandwiches are good but are about i bucks for two little things which just is no. Over priced(which normally doesnt bother me) plain tasting food, and nothing spectacular otherwise.

Ramen was mostly cabbage? Broth was really bad. Would never return there or recommend to anyone. Waiter hovered the entire time and spilled water on us. Bad atmosphere overall. I had to rush home to get a new taste in my mouth. It was really gross.

Excellent, Excellence in Japanese Sushi. Me & my son are great sushi lovers of quality perfection & taste. I was highly impressed. It was my birthday treat. What a treat. Salmon cakes, the Myrtle Ave special, caviar /fish eggs, fresh tuna & California specials were great. The Saki was tasty. We had such a large amount of food it was brought out in a Large Boat/Ship enough for 4 people. Our bill was $ 95& we also left a $ 20 tip. The server was very friendly & gave us a complimentary green tea birthday ice cream desert with a candle to share. This is our new spot as a first timer. Clean, quite nice art work & different. The food was worth every penny, so much that dogie bags were given. I will be returning very soon. I had a real nice time.

Ordered spicy tuna roll… it taste nothing like a spicy tuna roll. Also had a pork bun thing… didn’t care for it. And the more I ate of my meal, the more I disliked everything. My penis shriveled up into my body. what you might call an Anti-Boner. That’s how much I didn’t like it. And because I was so unimpressed with my food I ran out and ate a tub of ice cream. So now i’m sitting on my couch, half full of mediocre sushi and half full of ice cream wishing I could throw it all up. I’m so alone.

Oy. Time to leave a review. Since I cannot get a refund, my only satisfaction is if no one orders from them. The ramen was absolutely disgusting. I consider myself a ramen pro at this point. Pork was rough. The ramen came in like an omelette, not separable. The broth was generic and had an unhealthy amount of sodium. Once again, I’ll suggest Yebisu in Williamsburg.

Ordered food by calling the restaurant. I’ve had numerous people who stopped giving Waza business and have warned me about their delivery service and I should have listened. They are known to take a while, at least an hour. This is fine with me as long as the food is warm and good. Food here is a bit more expensive than the other normal Japanese restaurants in this neighborhood. With that said, food was good I must say. The big issue here is the service and the follow-up after my complaint to the restaurant. The delivery guy begged me to come out of my apartment and come outside to get my food! He refused to come upstairs!!! The whole point of delivery service is so that I don’t have to move. I was in my pajama shorts. When it was time for me to sign my receipt, he smiled and said Happy New Year. Irritating. I called the restaurant to complain and I got a sorry and the sound of the phone hanging up. I’m a super loyal customer. But after this, I’m saddened that I can’t order from here anymore. Poor running the business, food is not always everything. I still tipped the guy $ 4 which I am regretting.

I don’t even know why I keep ordering delivery. It’s a nightmare every time. I order delivery because I work in a store that I can’t leave. Typical for this neighborhood. But don’t pull up, honk at me repeatedly from the street when I have a store full of customers, hand me my food out your wet car window as I’m running out, then demand I sign a receipt on your wet car before returning back to work. If you offer delivery service, then fucking deliver. Why does this keep happening? Also, like a weird buyer’s remorse it tastes delicious going down, but I don’t love it the past few times it’s made me sick. Whatever. I guess I’m a masochist.

Really want to give this place a better review. :-( The space is super cute. Chalkboards with intricate designs on the walls. Booth and table settings that are comfy. The food is average. We got take out of Spicy Tonkatsu, a naruto roll, with a three roll lunch combo. Everything was decent. The broth was really yummy and the pickled egg was perfect! The service leaves a lot to be desired. On that take out order they didn’t give us the shumai, miso salad or soup that comes with the lunch combo. So we called and told them and they gave us a credit… everything is great so far. So two days later we decide to get ramen and sushi again and to use our credit. They remember us cause of my OC phone number, but wouldn’t give us the credit cause it isn’t in their system. Sorry, whaaaat? Essentially they said they wouldn’t honor the credit, so we said fine can we order anyway… and after ten minutes of trying to put in an order we gave up and ended up getting Thai food from their competators across the street. :-( Such a shame cause their rolls and ramen weren’t bad.
