Came for dinner. Their backyard space is nice. The staff is friendly and invested. I just wish the food was better quality. Food felt overpriced. $ 7 for a small bowl of olives, and they didn’t even pour some oil over the olives. It was just straight out of the brine. $ 2 for bread and it was just a quarter of a toasted baguette. The panini were $ 14, and the toppings were limited and tasted super salty. The wine was fine, but I think you should stick to multiple tastings rather than a full glass.

We Olive and Wine Bar is seriously perfect for an afterwork drink with a friend(or lover!). They have a short list of wines, but each is well chosen. The best part is that if you get a bottle of wine, you can also get one of their delish flatbreads featuring the ingredients they sell in the store ONTHEHOUSE! Then, if you are me, you can double up on the bottle of wine and buy your favorite new ingredient on the way out of the store! They served their 10-salt blend to me at one of these happpy hours, and I snagged a jar on the way out and use it on everything that comes out of my kitchen(making everything saltier and therefor much better). Their olive oils also do not dissappoint! Seriously, I do not know how this place is not packed to the brim every night of the week.

Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I went on a date to We Olive with a groupon and had a fantastic time. As new members of a CSA this year, we are regularly using olive oil to eat all of our veggies. At We Olive they give you tips for using the Olive oils and balsamic vinegars– like which to use for cooking and which to use on fresh greens. We came away with many great ideas and a fabulous sampler — at 15% off with the groupon! All the olive oils and balsamic vinegars were so delicious –I couldn’t pick just one! The wine tasting was also really spectacular. Each wine we tasted was smooth and delicious and full of flavor. I will definitely come back here for their happy hours. We Olive really does it right and impressed us thoroughly with the extent of their knowledge of their products, the friendliness of their staff and the extremely high quality of their products. Our server went above and beyond to make our experience unique and memorable. I can’t wait to come back to try new combinations of oils and vinegars, wines and ice cream. Yes– their menu even has ice cream with olive oil!

Cool enough space with a really tired concept, and missed the LivingSocial deal, but the staff were friendly and the selection pretty great if you’re in the market.

Came here with my sister this Friday and had a spectacular time. The staff is so incredibly doting and friendly and we immediately felt at home.(Angelo and Ashnard, thank you for everything!) If you’re anything like me and appreciate delicious olive oils, balsamic vinaigrettes, wine, meat, and cheese in a low-key and unpretentious setting, We Olive is your new favorite bar/specialty store. The patio in the back is so relaxing(perfect for that wine, cheese, and meat) and the main show room also has a bar if that’s more your thing. Whatever you do, don’t forget to buy some olive oil on your way out. I highly recommend the jalapeño and basil olive oils. Mind blowing. Go. Seriously, go. You’ll thank me!

We Olive is a great addition to the Park Slope neighborhood. They offer high end olive oils that are full of flavor and are deliciously paired with their homemade balsamic vinegars. The wine selections are some of the best I’ve found in Brooklyn. Their Lioco chardonnay from Sonoma is light and crisp but full of flavor. I really fell in love with it and cant wait to go back for happy hour. They also have a great selections of salads that go great with their oils and wines.

I passed by this place and was able to try a few samples of their olive oils. And WOW — are they great! The basil infused EVOO is so tasty and strong. I’ll have to come back for their quick bites and this will definitely be my store for my olive oil needs form now on.

I decided to stop in and check out this new store/restaurant on Smith Street. The staff offered me a complimentary tasting of a couple of the olive oils with some bread — one jalepeno infused olive oil and one garlic infused olive oil. Both were delicious, and I ended up purchasing a large bottle of the garlic infused olive oil. I like olive oil in general, but this was exceptionally good to the point where the olive oil was the centerpiece and the bread was really just a medium for eating the olive oil, if that makes any sense. The staff was helpful, and the store carries a lot of gourmet food items. They also have a food and wine menu, and I plan to try those the next time I go.

Like so many others, discovered this Cali company’s brooklyn location thanks to a Livingsocial deal(Olive oil tasting, 2 drinks, a take home bottle of oil and $ 30 to spend in the shop or on food). The place is cute — limited seating inside but a pretty big outdoor space which we found out is going to be enclosed soon to be open no matter what the weather. Service was pretty prompt and very friendly. They brought over 6 oils, three mixed with some of their vinegars and bread. Our favs were definitely the garlic and the combo of jalapeño oil with the pineapple vinegar. We decided to order food with our $ 30, choosing the duck flatbread and the prosciutto & fig paninni. Both were SOGOOD. seriously, amazing flavor and plenty of food for the 2 of us. J got the michelado for his drink and i got the belini. Tasty. We took a bottle of the garlic oil home but stayed tasting more things in the shop. SOMANYTHINGS. The staff was very helpful suggesting other combos to try — smoked oil & apple vinegar? Soo good. Definitely worth a visit, even if its a bit expensive.

Like a few others, I discovered this place through a Living Social deal. Great location. Within walking distance to various subways and buses. As soon as you walk in you feel the awesome vibe. Warm greeting. You get to chose where to sit. They have a lovely, but pretty much bare, outdoor patio but we decided to sit inside. The leather stools are about the most comfortable things I’ve ever sat in! Our waitresses Sophie was really adorable, friendly and knowledgeable. Decent wine selection. Had such a wonderful 2012 Cabernet. Smooth and mild. The olive oil tasting consisted of 9 oils, 3 which were mixed with flavored balsamic vinegars. Presentation was great and the Italian bread pieces were a good dipping item. The jalapeño oil with pineapple vinegar was my favorite!!! I wanted to lick the bowl. The fig, garlic, rosemary and smoked oils were all amazing. I was so fond of the pineapple balsamic that I had to buy a bottle which was $ 23. Totally worth it. I had the most amazing panini that had prosciutto, ricotta and honey with a side kale salad. I didn’t want the meal to end! So simple yet so delectable. Bathroom is very clean and the whole place is spotless. We told them that we couldn’t wait to come back. Then on the way out they had us do some wine tastings. Very delicious Merlot blend. What a great experience. Everything is pretty reasonable here and I would TOTALLY recommend anyone to come here!

Lapin and I came here on Saturday to catch up over some quick bites. We had opted into the trying some of the olive oils and jams they had on display before heading out back to the patio for some food. We ended up getting the Jalapeño olive oil while eyeing the Rewined candles. The store itself takes up most of the space, with a bit of seating area at the back and around 6 tables in the backyard. Our waitress was nice but she seemed a bit overwhelmed as she was the only waitress there. We ordered two glasses of wine which came out pretty quick. Lapin ordered the Old Vine Colombard [which he loved] and I got Chardonnay 2012, which was okay. The wine pours where a bit stingy and they could have filled a bit more in each glass. I do like how they have the option to purchase smaller pours at a reduced price. Lapin ordered the Country Paté with House Mustard and liked it. It had a nice assortment of stuff and went well with his wine. I ordered the Artichoke, Tomato and Mozzarella Flatbread which was a bit cold when it came out. I should mention that Lapin’s food came out a whole 18 minutes before mines and he almost finished his Pâté before I even got mines. We ordered two hummus for the table the Black Olive with Blood Orange Hummus and the Smoked Albacore Dip. It came with a small but nice assorted of crackers and heritage carrots. To top it off, we finished the meal with an order of Sweets and Treats. For $ 11, it was a bit of a disgrace. A small sliver of cheese and the world’s tiniest smudge of artisan honey. Overall, we did have a good time but the food portions were a bit smaller than other wine bars I have visited. They could have made it a bit bigger [although, I know this isn’t supposed to be a full meal but something to satiate you but how can you get a taste of something if they only include one piece of cheese and two pieces of crackers for a cheese plate?] However, it is good spot to catch up with friends and have a light snack while perusing the store later for new finds for your kitchen.

We went to We Olive on Saturday night after purchasing a Living Social deal(a great value). The store is quaint and full of delicious oils and spreads(all available for tasting). Our server, Sophie, made the entire experience. She was kind, knowledgeable and just a total pleasure. The Sweet and Treats plate was a perfect way to end the night and the tasting platter was delicious. We took home the blood orange oil and also got a bottle of the smoked oil, too. Look forward to going back and refilling there. Thanks again, Sophie!

We came here with a living social deal and had a fantastic experience. The wine selection was great, the food was absolutely delicious(try the duck flatbread, you won’t regret it), and the olive oil tasting was divine! On top of that, the service was super friendly and attentive. We loved the ambience of the place as well(perfect for a casually romantic date), and we can’t wait to come back here!

I’m really not sure what happened last weekend.* We walked into We Olive, just looking to check it out for a minute to see if we might want to come back another evening. Suddenly, I had a very healthy pour of some sparkling wine, I was tasting 58 different oils and vinegars, and then an hour and more wine later, I was walking out buzzed and full of bread, with some jalapeño olive oil and some quality balsamic. And I don’t know if you would be, but I’m not mad about this at all. We Olive is run by the nicest couple, they stock the tastiest olive oils and vinegars(you might as well try a few to find out your favorite combinations), and they really DO olive. In addition to the oils, they’ve got olive oil balm, olive oil candles, stuffed olives, candies that look like olives… olives are everywhere. They also serve legitimately tasty food(we’ve only had samples so far, but we’ll be back for the real deal soon), and it’s a pleasant place to have a glass of wine. Hopefully that backyard will be opening in the spring… ____________ *But this time, it had nothing to do with bourbon.

I’m very excited about this addition to the neighborhood. Sometimes you want to get a fancier olive oil than the one sold in Trader Joe’s(sometimes), sometimes you want to try every olive oil fusion ever, sometimes you want to follow that with wine and a crostini. All of these things and more are available at this lovely wine bar run by knowledgeable staff who are passionate about what they do. The space has a romantic intimate vibe as most of the seating is for two. I’m especially excited to return here in warmer weather and peruse their outdoor space.

This place is awesome! The kale salad on their lunch menu was delicious. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. They have a nice wine selection. I could spend so much time in the retail part of the restaurant looking at all of the olive oils. Great place to get a gift or to spoil your own inner chef. Lunch was fantastic so I’m excited to go back to try dinner!

Loved We Olive so much that I came back the next day! The olive oil itself is inventive and delicious and the staff is knowledgeable and generous with samples. The best part of this user friendly establishment, however, is the wine bar and tapas. I enjoyed a delicious red blend bottle(with free cheese plate, because of the happy hour special), panini, and hummus plate. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was excellent. Sophia, our waitress, is about as charming as it gets. I can’t wait to go back when the weather is warm to make use of the outdoor patio.
