Really cute place, and nice owners(though I can see why some other reviewers have commented on their social awkwardness…) but I’m also sad to say that this place deserves no more than two stars. Every salad I’ve gotten is completely mediocre and kind of blah; the salads from the deli up the street are cheaper, fresher, and just better-tasting. I was also excited about the Halumi goat cheese sandwich($ 7), but it was just a pita with a tiny tiny bit of cheese & tomato, with barely any flavor. To sum: overpriced + not worth it. Hopefully they take this feedback and make some constructive changes!

The food was delicious and fresh. I had the falafel and it was very good. It was 10 bucks for a sandwich, salad and drink so the prices are reasonable. I added an extra star for the music. I love bachata!

Had a very strange experience here a few back in April. Went with a friend to grab some food since BK Roasting didn’t have a huge selection that afternoon. Friend ordered the taboule salad and when it came, it was a soggy, oily mush of brown parsley. She sent it back and asked for the falafal instead. The owner then came at her with a spoon of returned salad and said, I just want you to taste this, I promise, its fresh and shoved the spoon into her mouth! Owners then proceeded to harass us about being Lebanese(which we weren’t) and asking rude, insistent questions about our families! I wish I could support this place but I’ll probably never go back. Also, they used to advertise that they were kosher but they had a salami and cheese sandwich on the menu, clearly NOTOK. I definitely get a strange and dishonest vibe from this place. Not to mention, the food isn’t great and the café isn’t so clean… Sorry.

I’ve been living literally around the corner from Punto Bianco(AKA, Corner 20) for almost an entire year. Until yesterday, when I decided to take a break from my daily BK Roasting routine, I’d never been in the place… which is a shame because I’ve been missing out! I had no idea that George served food… but wow, the fresh ingredients, attention to detail, and unique blend of cuisine from all over the Mediterranean, make this hidden gem a lunchtime speak easy that’s hidden in plain sight! Try the baclava and rose water.

Go for the homemade soups! Always a sure-shot on cold winter days.

If you like corporate food and corporate service, then this is not your place. If you like to know the people who cook your food, eat what they eat, and enjoy a true neighborhood experience, then this is your spot in Dumbo. They also cater!

The combos they offer are a good deal. I usually get the falafel combo… so good.

I’m from Los Angeles — which gives me little license to critique any cuisine within Brooklyn’s jurisdiction. However, I am an avid coffee consumer — and only of the finest. Yalla at Punto Bianco has set the bar for my ever-evolving standard. The coffee itself — espresso, latté, café au lait — you name it: outstanding. If you’ve a stomach for fine, savory notes within your cup o’ joe this is definitely the place to drop by.

Excellent falafel, homemade lemonade/iced tea mix, and an amazing brownie. Friendly owner too! Hookah after hours would be nice next time.

I didn’t know this was a Mediterranean place. I was quick to get coffee for someone and was sent here to buy it. The interior of the shop was rather nice but while they have a full menu, the food they display seem to be lacking. It was rather surprising because they do advertise themselves as a café with a huge sign right outside. All I saw on display was about 2 croissants, about 4 fudge brownies and a few mini chocolate muffins. They also seem to have pizzas on display as well. That seemed to be all that I saw but I didn’t have time to wonder. I did come here for coffee. I ordered a small coffee with a half and half. The woman asked me what kind of coffee. I told I didn’t care. She ended up giving me a shot of expresso which filled up a quarter of the small cup. Then she poured cold half and half to fill up three-quarters of the cup. It was rather odd when it comes to making coffee. Aren’t they supposed to steam the milk up first? And isn’t the coffee supposed to make it most of the drink and not milk? I didn’t ask any questions. I had to leave. I was already starving so I asked her if they serve any muffins. She went behind some closet and pulled open a curtain just to tell me they didn’t have anymore. I was really hungry so I asked for one of the croissants they have on display. The total came out to $ 5.44. As I grabbed the cup of coffee, it was rather disturbing how a hot coffee is cold. It also didn’t help that I found out later on that the milk in the coffee was spoiled. Maybe it was bad timing or bad luck. Either way, I can’t come back here. The only thing worth it was the croissant but I still wouldn’t return. I’m not a huge croissant fan anyways.

Definitely has improved since opening. Looks like they’ve finally figured it out a little bit. Prices have dropped to a nice six bucks for a falafel sandwich, and it’s definitely higher quality than the surrounding delis I’m getting horribly tired of eating at(still love you, Jimmy’s, but I just can’t be with you forever), and now it’s not even terribly expensive. Staff is almost hilariously nice. It’s clear they’re still working this whole«owning a restaurant» thing out, but currently that translates into charming over-attentiveness. also, crispy pita things you can eat as you wait are pretty great. love those crispies.

Falafels as they are meant to be. The credit apparently goes to the wife of the owner but they are really nice people and the atmosphere was pleasant and friendly. Our whole group liked their food but the Falafels are superb. Doesn’t sound like the previous posters went to the same establishment…

I do not normally post bad reviews but for anyone in the neighborhood — this place is not even as good as peas and pickles. Got a tuna«pita» and chicken sandwich $ 14.50 — what a nightmare — tuna straight from the can(drained water) plopped lazily on bread which was then lightly warmed up(for an additional $.50) with some poorly selected lettuce bits and a few random pickles… I don’t want to talk about the chicken… the hell… reviewer above was more than generous. Bummer. Big bummer.

One star for existing. Another one for having seating. Having been in the restaurant world, I think the folks that opened this place have NOCLUE. Customer service is wanting. The food is borderline. Frankly, it’s quite obvious they have never worked in a restaurant or café their entire lives. BTW, It’s just the owners and their children working the place. There’s better coffee across the street. There’s better food in the delis up the street. I hate to leave a low review, but the truth hurts sometimes. Will only go back if people post more positive reviews.
