Roasting Jack Rotisserie

The food was pretty good for what seemed to be salty microwaved meals. I had the briquet with two sides. To be honest, I can’t even remember which two sides I had. That’s how non-​memorable the meal was. It felt like a fast food place to me. Check it out for yourself. It wasn’t terrible but I haven’t felt the urge to go back either.

What a pleasant surprise! Hidden next to a gas station and a Subway. Great food, friendly service, and killer homemade chocolate chip cookies. Skip the chain restaurants littering this intersection and shop local!

Food was delicious! The brisket was extremely tender and flavorful. Chicken fell off the bone. Very reasonably priced and the staff was soooo friendly! Would definitely eat there again if we were in this area again!

First time we stopped by. Enjoyed a great meal and friendly service. Got the family pack whole chicken with sides. Everything was great. Will be back.

This restaurant was recommended by fellow Unilocaly Eli M of Honolulu and it was fantastic. I asked Rick if he had chorizo beans because I heard there are a thing to have. He said he’d make them but I’m only here for a short jaunt. A preamble. 4 stars is good in my book. I reserve my 5’s for extraordinary experiences.
I went with a Florida buddy for dinner. He had the brisket with sweet potato and collard greens and cornbread. I had a combo with brisket and dark
Rotisserie chicken. I also had deviled eggs and cornbread.
The meats were soft juicy and tasty. I would have liked a more smokey flavor and a more-​steroid chicken. The beans and collards were nicely done. The cornbread was a little too soft for me. I like mine with more grit. The deviled eggs came in threes and were delicious.
I can’t wait to come back and try more stuff. Especially the chorizo beans.
I liked the choices of hot sauce at the bar. Some I have never seen before. They were all fairly hot. Not like that damn Carolina Reaper.

Roasting Jack, like everything man attempts is far from perfect. However, when it comes to atmosphere, food quality, and service, Roasting Jack serves up a five star deal. Compared to what is available locally, one would be a fool to go anywhere else.

This place uses a simple recipe and I’m not talking about the food. Good ol’ country home-​style cooking with generous servings at a fair price. Was the food out of my this world? — No, but it was tasty and I didn’t leave hungry. It appeared that a nice family is operating it and continuous cleaning made me feel at home. Everything was good but the cucumber salad took me back to my Nana’s house when I was a young boy. Don’t miss it! Also, the sweet tea is the way a real southerner likes it.

Read all the great Unilocal reviews, so picked this place for lunch. Nice, clean place. Staff friendly. Food enjoyable. Fruit was very fresh. Potato salad was good. Liked the chicken salad sandwich. Tea was sweet. Didn’t like the Mac and cheese taste. Potion sizes were good. Would stop again in our travels.

We stopped with our baseball team on the way down to Florida and on the way back up. The food was amazing! They provided two separate spreads, and both were delicious. The staff was very nice, and went above and beyond to make sure they took care of us. They even opened up on their off day to take care of us. We also highly recommend the blueberry bread!

Great food, priced right, ample quantity, Friendly staff, very clean, limited menu but everything offered is first rate. We will be back frequently.

People need to know about this place. We stopped here randomly, on our way to Disney World. Needed gas, and the wife wanted Subway. (I really didn’t) I saw this place and tried it out. The grilled chicken sandwich was fantastic. I got it with Thai Chili sauce instead of the normal sauce. Highly recommended. Friendly service, got the food fast, great find. If I ever have a reason to be in this area again, I’ll be back.

This place has delicious food. I just pulled off the highway to stop for lunch and so happy I walked in the door. Service was great, food was phenomenal, and the price was good for the value. Definitely going to remember this place is here if I’m driving this way again. Thanks for the great food.

Yummmm! I had the Hot Mess. A giant baked potato with your choice of meat (I had brisket), cheese and bacon. It was served piping hot. So yummy! The service was good and the place was clean. I would eat here again, and again!

Great tasting rotisserie chicken! This is my 3^rd visit and so far always pleased. It’s great to have an option besides fried chicken, when your on the road traveling.

Very tasty rotisserie chicken, definitely recommend. Collard greens were yummy and sweet potato was just that with no fillers. Meal was way healthier than local fast food. And the soft blueberry corn bread was a good way to end the meal with a little sweetness!

Great stop right off i95. Clean. Very friendly and most of all delicious. Had turkey special. Moist and tender white meat. Potato salad and corn bread best I’ve had in a long time. All on site cooking. Will make this one of our stops on way to Florida

Excellent down home Southern cooking. Friendly staff and great prices. I had the pot roast, Mac and cheese, and the best collards greens I’ve had in a LONG time.

First time here and it did not disappoint. Great food. Friendly staff. For the quality and quantity of the food a fair price. My wife had the meatloaf and I had the roast chicken. We sampled back and forth and we both loved both meals. The blueberry cornbread is just awesome. The place is immaculately clean. And as a bonus, they offer a 10% discount if you present your valid concealed carry license!
This spot is a keeper.

I wish I would have checked out this place sooner. It’s right off exit 36A on I-​95, on Hwy 341. Delicious, friendly, and fast! They’re closed on Saturdays right now, but that could be a summer thing. Open for lunch and dinner on the other days, and I hear they’re busy with the after church crowd on Sundays.
Delicious rotisserie chicken, which comes with two fresh sides (veggie menu changes daily but anything I’ve ever had is really good) and cornbread or blueberry muffin. Also check out their daily specials– I hope to try the chicken pot pie soon.

Food was great, service was great! I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a sweet potato as my side. Loved the seasoning that the chicken had. Great place to stop if you’re looking for a good meal.
