This place is very good for an all you can eat sushi place. Normally these types of establishments would make the rolls all rice and no insides in order to fill you up and get you out the door. This place however makes the sushi just as good and maybe even better than many sushi restaurants I have been to in the past. I highly recommend it. Beware not to eat to much especially with the all u can eat menu. Left many times stuffed to the gills«no pun intended»

we love coming here… AYCE for $ 19.99 is very reasonable. Sashimi is some of the best i have ever had.

Ordered takeout and it was delicious! So much quality sushi for such a cheap price. I’m a vegetarian so I tried the sweet potato roll, cucumber roll, avocado roll, and egg nigiri. The sweet potato maki was huge and so flavorful with just the right amount of eel sauce. The cucumber roll was the best I’ve ever had, as was the avocado roll. The egg nigiri is my favorite Japanese sweet egg concoction, and it did not disappoint. All of this for $ 13 and I was impressed, to say the least. Glad to have found such a delicious sushi place nearby!

Not the best restaurant ever but definitely not the worst. The service was okay and the food was fine. I had the stir fry bar. My meal was fair. My friends had the all-you-can-eat sushi, so maybe I just missed out on the real good stuff! I would consider eating there again but I definitely am not in any rush to get back there.

Came here with a group of 10 on a Friday night for a friend’s birthday party and I gotta say I was extremely impressed with everything. From food to service, everything was on point! Our group ordered a variety of things, but most of us took advantage of the $ 19.99 a person all you can eat(AYCE) deal. For that price you get to select from a menu that lists out several appetizers, sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi(limited to 3 pieces per regular roll you order). On top of the menu you select from, you can also get as much Mongolian stir fry as you wish. I was expecting a mediocre plate of sushi but everything was surprisingly fresh! I especially loved the green dragon roll and salmon sashimi. SODELICIOUS. They also have a drink menu with Japanese beer, wine, etc. A large bottle of Sapporo, Kirin or Asahi is only $ 7.5!!! Since this was for a friend’s birthday, we also brought in some cake that the staff let us keep in their fridge and they personally served by putting on candles and playing a birthday song over the speakers! Our waiter was very attentive and patient for having to serve and deliver so much food. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back!

I like sushi grove, and the Mongolian stir fry that is included. Delicious. They should strain the green tea though. It has the leaves and tea in the hot water. It would be better with less team floating and at the bottom. But the food is outstanding.

It’s often hit-or-miss when trying to find an All-You-Can-Eat(AYCE) sushi place. The price-point for such places are roughly $ 20, so for $ 19.99(as of May 2016), this place is cheaper than your usual AYCE!(haha) What’s also cool about this place is that they have a Mongolian BBQ section for all your non-sushi, stir-fry cravings. Located in a big strip mall, this place may be somewhat hard to find, a hidden gem of Buffalo Grove. We had a party of 14 and the waitstaff for this place was on-point. The food came super-fast, and some of us got our sushi in a nice boat(toot! toot!) while others got their’s on a plate(boo!). BATHROOMREVIEW: Located in the back, the bathroom is pretty clean and in working order. Sit or squat? Sit!

i feel so unsafe and uncomfortable everytime i come here with my girlfriend or friends. We always pay for are $ 20 meal plan every single time i come here. There is this guy that is always looking just staring us down like we killed someone or robbed a bank. Then he always gives us that creapy smile i even looked right back at him turns out that came out to be a staring contest. Maybe he thinks we are giving out food to or friends even tho we paid for it i dont know whats going on here. Just hope someone talks to him. Its not just me who talk’s about this its even other people who i herd this from same description and everything. hope management talks to him…

It’s hard to find a good all you can eat(AYCE) sushi place. Often times there is too much rice, limitations on ordering, small selection, or the food itself isn’t that great. The gods of glutton must have heard our prayers because there is Sushi Grove. For only $ 19.99, you get AYCE sushi with sashimi and Mongolian grill. In addition, Sushi Grove also has spicy scallops and spider rolls(soft shell crab) on their AYCE menu which is unheard of. The food itself exceeded my expectations because everything was delicious and prepared well — service was attentive and helpful too. Pro tip: avoid the appetizers since most of the items are fried and filling but instead, create a delicious starter at the Mongolian grill such as shrimp with vegetables mixed with chili oil, Mongolian sauce, and garlic. The food from the grill will be done faster and won’t take up too much space in your stomach for all of the sushi that you are about to consume. For pioneers of sushi buffets, Sushi Grove excels all of the standards for a great AYCE sushi place.

I came for a birthday dinner and the service was great! Everyone was very kind and attentive. The sushi was OK. they use a fair amount of fish, but the quality isn’t there. Not much to expect from an «all you can eat» establishment. I think it’s great that they also have a stir fry option. I did a veggie stir fry and it was delicious. The sauce they use is great, and it’s made on a flat top grill. I think it’s a bit strange how they charge for kids. It doesn’t go base on age, they measure you up against the door and determine based on height. I think they were trying to be «creative». I may come back for story fry only.

This place is great for groups with the added benefit of being BYOB. The sushi is consistently good. Servers are pleasant, and the chefs work very quick to fulfill the orders. I have been here about a dozen times and will continue to come here. If you plan on sharing sushi with a few people, place 1 big order and they will bring the sushi in one of those big wooden boats. The kids gets a pick out of it :)

Simply put, this is the best sushi restaurant in the area. I never liked sushi before until I tried this place. We go to this restaurant at least once a month. The buffet is $ 19.99 but there is a catch! If you don’t eat everything you ordered, you have to pay EXTRA, they charge per each piece you left on your plate. We didn’t know about that. So, the first time we had a few rolls left, the waitresses approached our table and started counting the rolls! We looked at each other, trying to understand what’s going on… and then we saw it on the bill — extra $ 9.99. Just be careful, all I am saying. It’s a ridiculous rule, but the place is worth it. One more funny rule, if you are in a company of six, you will be charged extra 20%, it doesn’t eliminate tips. Be a good person, tip them 20% as well, waiters/waitresses do not set up the rules.

We had a great time coming here as a family. We did not do the all you can eat sushi, because we ordered 11 rolls that were not the huge specialty rolls… it economically did not make sense for us! AYCE makes sense if you are getting 3+ rolls that cost over $ 10, or 2+ rolls and several appetizers… Flavor was great and the atmosphere was nice. Would definitely come back.

My girlfriends and I came here for dinner last Saturday and was pleasantly surprised with the quality, portion and the selections of a sushi AYCE for only $ 19.99/person(not including drinks). The ISO Yuki Maki(tuna, salmon, red snapper, avacado, masago wrapped with soy paper) was really good, large roll(10 pieces), but good! They have a variety of different salmon rolls for you Salmon Lovers out there. What’s good about Sushi Grove is that they don’t stuff their rolls or nigiri with a lot of rice and they do have a Mongolian stir fry for those who don’t eat raw. Something for everyone! Note to mention… You can only order 3 pieces of sashimi for every 1 roll order. Also, go early if you want to avoid the wait and they take reservations for large parties. I would have given 5 stars, but the waitress asked us a few times if we would like the bill. I know we weren’t in there for more than 1.5 hrs, so we felt kind of rushed; Otherwise, totally recommended if you’re a sushi connoisseur.

I went here on the recommendation of my two friends who both said many good things about it. We all went for dinner and got the $ 20 unlimited appetizers and sushi that you could want! For $ 20 this is an amazing deal, so naturally I was skeptical that the quality would not be good since this price seemed too good to be true, but the quality was excellent . For my appetizers I ordered the miso soup which was exceptionally hot just the way I like it. I also ordered the vegetable tempura and the crab Rangoon, both were delicious. I got 3 different maki rolls, all with cooked shrimp or crab because sadly I can not eat raw fish without getting sick. I got the spider roll, the shrimp tempura roll, and another roll I forgot the name of but it also had shrimp tempura in the roll. I will definitely be back! The service was prompt, the food was great, and I loved the atmosphere :)

I ordered the Scorpion King Roll and LOVEDIT!!! The crunch of the soft shell crab with the cucumber, imitation crab, Spicy sauce, is bomb. It’s a must order. It’s enough for dinner. I also tried the Salmon skin salad and OMG! It’s to die for, especially if eaten with white steamed rice. It could even be a meal in itself for fish lovers. Tonight will be another set of new items to try.

My favorite AYCE sushi restaurant! I’ve been to several other AYCE places but Sushi Grove has the freshest sushi and friendliest employees of the ones I have been to. It is an ayce sushi joint so any leftover foods will be charged. I liked how the servers didn’t creep around, making sure I ate every grain of rice like some other ayce places. The prices here are very reasonable and I love how you can order sashimi for ayce as well. They also have a mongolian stir-fry section which I have yet to try(but I probably never will bc. sushi). Everything is delicious here and I will be back and try not to over-eat! :))) 3 chins!

I came here on Saturday with a group of friends. I’m not sure why we were given and ordered off the dinner menu when we arrived at 11:30AM on Saturday. We ordered a variety of rolls and appetizers. Everything tasted good and service was surprisingly friendly. I was disappointed in the quality of the shumai and calamari. I wasn’t particularly wowed by the variety of sushi rolls either. But when it’s $ 5 cheaper than AYCE sushi in the city, who really cares?

Man, oh man. I wish I had more friends that wouldn’t judge me for how much sushi I can eat. I want to go back so badly!!! Sushi Grove has to be one of my top favorite AYCE sushi places. Our server, Jeff, was extremely attentive and thoroughly explained how everything worked. My favorite roll had to be the ISO Yuki Maki. A must have! Large cuts of fresh tuna, salmon and yellowtail with avocado wrapped in soy paper. So good! My boyfriend joked that they looked just like teardrops(so true!). Their thick cuts of sashimi(can’t believe that offer it as an AYCE option) are a dreeeeeaaaaammmm. Mmmmm
