Worst place ever. Had to find a substitute sandwich place since Sam’s Italian sandwiches was closed. Order process rediculous. Had to wait forever for a mediocre sandwich. Toasted bread was so dry it hurt my mouth to chew it. So disappointed! :(

Totally incompetent help and perhaps a totally unsuitable franchise owner. Here’s why — Bought 5 sandwiches on double punch Tuesday which resulted in a fully punched card to get a free sandwich the next visit. Sounds fine right? Well, on this visit they forgot to give us the free beverages with the two child’s meals which we did not realize until we got home. We also found out that they mistakenly did not provide the rolled lettuce instead of the roll for one of the sandwiches. They also had run out of their signature potato chips that day. The very next day I returned because my grandson wanted another sandwich. I gave them the fully punched card for a free sandwich and they told me it was invalid because someone had punched the box indicating it had been redeemed. I read them the riot act and did get the free sandwich after all for my grandson. But, my sandwich was missing the mustard and mayo which I discovered after opening it at home. Too many mistakes for a place that has been open for some time. I won’t go back.

First time I went here it was really good. Today, I ordered a grinder bowl with spinach. I got back to the office and started eating, only to notice that the spinach was ROTTEN. I’m not that picky, so I thought maybe it was just a little bit and I pulled it out. Then I say more and more, and before long, most of my slimy, disgusting, turning black spinach leaves had been pulled out. I gave up at that point. All I can think is that someone is going to get really sick from this! Hopefully it’s just a fluke, but I will never go back.

Love this place! Been there 2 times and both experiences were great. Since you fill out your own order on sandwich sized sacks you’ll get your sandwich EXACTLY as you want it. I always get the French dip with provolone and it’s made just how I like it. Thinly sliced beef with the provolone slightly melted from the heat of the beef. Au jus sauce is delicious without tasting overly seasoned. The only downside is they don’t offer fries. But it’s no big deal since the sandwiches are so tasty. I’ll definitely be back again and again…

Which Wich has been a favorite as of late. The sandwiches are quality and has them ready in 5 minutes if lines are out the door. my favorite is the club sandwich and they are not stingy with the bacon. The only reason for the four starts and not five is the pricing. to get a large sandwich and a small drink, you need about $ 15 and that I can’t do every day. Parking is pretty hard to come by in the area as well

I really like this particular Which Wich. I have gone to the location closer for me in Belmont and sandwiches are never as good as Burlingame. I do not know how this is possible but never the less true. The customer service is much better here also. I don’t go to the location in Belmont any longer but since this one is near my office… great sandwich for lunch when I am in the mood.

Quick Easy Fresh Walked in on a Friday at 1:45 and there were about 10 people in line. Pulled up a bag, checked off what I wanted. Everyone was super friendly, got the sandwich in about 5 minutes. Their shakes are awesome as well. Chicken with hot wing sauce was awesome. Philly was great as well.

The one star is for their completely defeating the purpose of highly customizable sandwiches. My friend asked for Swiss and Pepper Jack cheeses and got none. He did not ask for lettuce and still got it. I asked for candied walnuts, my favourite, and did not get any. How hard can it be to follow little red dots on the bag? Moreover, it is their own system! Taste is great as usual but then again, imagine getting chicken in a veggie sandwich going by the experience we had. Disappointing.

Worst ever. Not only are the menus the worst designed and most confusing on the planet. Sadly the sandwiches are anemic, the salad like the buffalo chicken is bizarre(sliced compressed chicken with a side of buffalo sauce, and the customer service is no better than a subway. 5 guys is a much better choice next door. Tried them on a few occasions and I want to like this place but it’s the weirdest.

Indeed, the best thing about which which is the aspect of customizing. Whenever there is an option of customization, that’s really the best(What the customer wants!). I don’t eat sandwiches enough, but I have tried some pretty awesome ones and also some just ok ones. Which Which falls inbetween, so above average. It’s cute that you write on a brown bag. There’s plenty of choices as to what you’re feeling that day. I ordered The Grinder which consists of genoa salami, pepperoni, and capicola. It’s a really heavy and salty taste, so I put a bunch of veggies to balance the taste. I took it back home to eat at my own comfort. I open and the sandwich is well put together and everything as I asked. The first bite was good, and then a second, and then a third and then I’m done. It was tasty and I’m sad it was all gone. The ingredients were fresh and portion was good. Hm… Which Which shall I get next time? :)

I’m updating the review after Daryl P., the owner of Which Wich, messaged me on Unilocal and asked me to come back and give them another chance with two sandwiches, chips, and a shake on the house. This was so nice of him, so my friend and I decided to try them again. I got the black bean patty sandwich with lots of toppings, spicy ranch, hummus, etc. Instead of the shake, we asked for a cookie and the people helping us out were super friendly and accommodating! This time, the bread was better toasted, the toppings were actually there, and there was substance to the sandwich. It was a totally different experience, and we both really enjoyed our sandwiches. The cookies were also on point. It was a very enjoyable meal. Would I come back? I hope this is how it continues, because if so, I will definitely be coming back! Thanks, Daryl! :)

That was probably the best sandwich I have ever had. I ordered the Italian meatball sandwich with Parmesan, spinach, pickles, crisps, mushrooms, and marinara, and it was amazing! I only got into Which Wich about a month ago. I always see this place when I pass by, but I never bothered to try it. I came here after cross-country practice to grab a bite to eat. The store is exceptionally clean, and the service is great. Make sure to get a punchcard to earn a free Wich!

I love this spot, specifically because of the Wicked. We stopped in today to grab some yummy #lettucewraps and my lettuce had to either be about 2 weeks or more #old or their not storing their products properly. Super #disappointing from our typical visit. There were a few pieces of brown mushy lettuce so that tells me the lettuce for the lettuce wrap was probably sitting in lettuce soup. Something is either wrong with management or the employees are dropping standards. Not good for business and of all places to do this why #Burlingame? Those standards better be picked way back up!

This place has the right idea. Make your own damn sandwich! Funny story, the first time my mom and I came here to give it a try, we were enjoying our custom toasted sandwiches and house-made chips when this poor bespectacled man(manager or supervisor maybe) had to go over and write an order bag for this lady because she was too stupid to figure out how to use it. I think he went through two or three sandwiches on her before that because she said they weren’t what she wanted. They make what you write down, people! But this is a great place for a decent, cheap meal. It’s mostly staffed by teenagers so service and consistency is spotty, and if you’re going for lunch on the weekend you might want to order online because it gets busy. It’s probably busy during weekday lunch hours too, but I’ve never gone at that time so I can’t say. I love the Wicked and their tuna salad. I’m very picky about tuna salad, I hate the kinds that are full of crap like celery and olives and god knows what else, but theirs is very basic and great for topping however you like. Their house chips are nice and peppery, I like that. And their milkshakes are delicious! I usually go for the chocolate-banana. Also, ask for a free stamp card! Buy ten sandwiches, get one free.

Half the fun is writing your order on your own little bag-the rest of the experience is a average. It’s good, not great. Basically you go in and select what your base is-vegetarian, turkey, etc and pick a sandwich bag. From there you check the boxes(all on the actual bag) of what veggies, cheese and condiments to add. I opted for the tomato and avocado on a small wheat sub. The small is a 7 inch and more than enough food. While I was pleased the veggie topping options(mmm along with feta and pesto) I wasn’t really impressed with the bread itself. It seemed wheat only in terms of being a darker shade of beige than the white bread. However flavor and texture were lacking. The sub itself was rather narrow, so it didn’t hold all the ingredients very well-everything was sloshing out the side. Perhaps if you go, think about checking off less toppings since they don’t really fit well. Freshness factor was high on the peppers, tomato, spinach and avocado but I wasn’t overall impressed with my meal and Which Wich isn’t something I can see purposefully seeking out. The interior was bright, modern but not at all conducive to staying long-uncomfortable seats and blaring music. It seems good for kids, though. The family ahead of me was having a ball composing their meals!

Which Wich is fine. I’ve now been here a few times, and have liked everything I have had. I do typically get one of the breakfast options, even towards dinner time, and they are quite tasty. The food arrives hot and stays hot by the time I get it home. You certainly have a lot of options, which you can make your own by checking off the various choices on your paper bag. I think the whole«mark your bag» thing is clever — it helps them keep track of what you want on your sandwich, but it also helps you identify whose is whose if you have some big order. THATSAID, I’ve had a few times when mustard has ended up on my sandwich, and I am NOT a mustard fan, so I am not sure the sandwich makers always pay 100% attention to what you’ve checked off.(I suppose I could’ve returned it, but when you’re already all the way home, and you already waited a big chunk of time to get your sandwich, it’s not worth it.) They have a few chip choices — mostly Lay’s, but also their own types. And cookies, too. I wish they had more soda choices. Considering that there are other places on this street that have Freestyle machines, the selection feels pretty thin. The service is pleasant, though sometimes it takes A LONGTIME to get your sandwich, even when there’s barely anyone else in the place. Granted they could have been working on phone orders or something — but I’ve never been in here at Prime Sandwich Hour, so I’m not honestly sure what was up. As others have said, it’s a step above Subway(which I generally don’t even mind, but whatevs, this is not a Subway review). And it’s open later than, say, CJ’s, so if you are hungry for a sandwich after work you can pick something up here. My recommendation: if you come here, get one of the hot sandwiches(and don’t ignore the breakfast options, even at lunch).

I’m a fan of Which Wich because I think they make some pretty good sandwiches which are totally customized by yourself. It’s no Little Lucca or Bonne Sante, but their sandwiches are at least a few steps above Subway in terms of quality and selection. Here are two of my favorites: The Grinder! — Starts with Genoa salami, pepperoni, and capicola and then I just put whole bunch of other stuff with it to balance out the meat and veggies. The Wicked! — Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Pepperoni, and Bacon and choice of three cheeses. This was a monster! The customization and ordering system is really their bread and butter. Reminds me of ordering my sandwich at the WaWa in the east coast, but over there they use a touch screen whereas at Which Wich it’s a little more simpler with their brown paper bags. It’s fun ordering here but you do have to be patient when it’s busy. I do like seeing how creative people can be with their bag art to help identify their order on the clothesline. Me, I’m not so original since I use either a smiley face or a bunch of stars. Overall, I definitely recommend Which Wich for lunch if you’re in the area. It’s a fun and unique sandwich spot worth trying.

Excellent Home Made Shakes! Which Which is a step up from«Mcdees» and In & Out! They make your sandwich as you like it and you get to choose your toppings. I am a big spinach fan so that is a plus. You choose your choice of bread and topping by choosing a brown bag labeled beef, chicken or vegetarian. There are tons of toppings to choose from so you can get very creative. Then you order your shake using another brown bag and you can choose to add fresh banana, strawberry fruits to add to it or the basic vanilla or chocolate shake too. They hand make your shake and add a ton of delicious heavy ice cream which makes it so good. It’s probably one of the best shakes out there for a fast food. Pricing is not bad with your sandwich and handmade shake expect to pay about $ 12. This Burlingame location does have a lot of seating both indoor and out, and during the week for lunch it gets pack.

I was so excited to try this place! After driving by many times and seeing a line out the door, today it was meant to be when I wanted an early lunch(11.15am) and there was parking right outside Which Wich. Perusing the menu, I got utterly confused, which the cashier noticed and he was nice enough to take a few minutes to explain their system to me. Pick a protein or a specialty combo off the menu, then grab a bag with the corresponding number. You can then still customize your sandwich by picking your type of bread, toasted or not, size, cheese, sauces/spreads, mustards, mayos, dressings, onions, veggies & more, and oils & spices. Lots of variety to make sure you can build your ultimate dream sandwich. My heart jumped when I saw the sign that announced that they now do lettuce wrapped sandwiches. During the week I try to avoid carbs and grains, so this healthy option was right up my ally. I went for The Wicked, which is their most popular combo and consists of 5 meats(turkey, ham, roast beef, pepperoni, bacon) and your choice of up to 3 cheeses(I went with swiss, provolone, and feta). I marked all my desired sauces and condiments on the brown paper bag, handed it to the cashier and paid without adding one of their amazing looking milkshakes(no need for extra push-ups tonight). $ 7.31(including tax) seemed very reasonable to me for a meat and cheese loaded sandwich. After I ordered and paid, I realized that I didn’t feed the meter and went outside to take care of that. I figured 12 minutes would be plenty of time for my sandwich to be done. I was wrong, it was expired when I finally had it in my hand and hopped into my car. It was certainly too long of a wait for how few customers were inside. I can’t imagine how long they take when it’s really busy, maybe that’s why there’s a line out the door so often, not because it’s so popular. Back at my desk I unpacked my lettuce wrapped Wicked and went to work. On the first bite I noticed that there were mushrooms in my sando, which I didn’t check on the order form. And the caramelized onions I was so looking forward to were not there. Big sigh! I assume the sandwich maker looked at a different order form when assembling the condiments. I like mushrooms, but they did nothing on this sandwich and the caramelized onions would have stepped the flavor profile up a notch. The spicy mayo was not spicy at all, or maybe there just wasn’t enough of it on my sandwich(or they put regular mayo on it). The amount of cheese was good, but the meat quantity was lacking. I would have expected twice as much meat. Judging from other reviews, they tend to be stingy with their meat. Not cool with this carnivore! During my wait at Which Wich, I witnessed a couple of conversations between the sandwich assembly workers and customers that lead me to believe that some staff training is highly needed here! One customer had submitted an order online for 11am pick-up. She was there at 11.15am and her sandwich wasn’t done. The employee kept telling her very loudly that he got an online order in for 11.30 and so they still had 15 minutes. His co-worker finally looked at the customer’s brown bag, which was already hanging up in the assembly area, and saw that it was in fact for 11am. The way the employee talked to the customer was really unprofessional and in a rather demeaning manner, with the rest of the clientele inside overhearing this. Had it been me in the situation, I would have told him to shove that sandwich somewhere dark and walked out. The cashier was great, however, helping me out initially and also telling me about their Vibe rewards program(sandwich specials & coupons via email) and gave me a customer loyalty card and marked two sandwiches instead of one. He also informed me that on Tuesdays they do double punches for each sandwich purchased. I have very mixed feelings about this place. My sandwich wasn’t made correctly and with too little meat, most of the employees lack hospitality business training, and the wait times are too long. I’ll probably give them another shot at some point to see if they can do better.

Having already been to the San Jose location a few months back when it first opened I also decided to give this one a try today just to see if it was any different and it is slightly but not by much, it’s just a little more organized. The concept the same at every location where you pick up a brown bag, mark what you want on it, then hand it to the person at the till where they will ring you up and then it’s just a matter of waiting while they make your sandwich to order. I had my usual Turkey on Wheat which I found to be very average in terms of flavor. Admittedly, I didn’t get anything super exciting but then I get the same thing where ever I go and I’ve had a lot better Sandwiches elsewhere. It did fill me up though which was much needed after the 15 mile run I had just done. I didn’t realize just how hungry I was until I had finished it and noticed I didn’t do my usual of whipping out my phone and snapping a picture. lol Sorry! Fun concept and convenient location(right next to Yogurtland!) but also a little pricier than other places locally. ** BIRTHDAYTIP ** Sign up for email alert and get a free ‘wich for your Birthday.
