I feel like the café next to the library changes every time I come back home, yet the offerings are always the same. This one seems to be slightly better than the others; all the options are solid but nothing amazing. Very pricey though, and the tables/chairs aren’t that comfy. Wasn’t allowed to use my Unilocal check in offer for some reason, which is disappointing. I guess if you’re at the library studying and need a caffeine break or food, this would be a good option; otherwise, stick with Starbucks or Element.

This is a great spot! The matcha green tea latte is my favorite, next to the Camarillo library which is gorgeous!

This place is great. More restaurants should take lessons from them. The pesto Italian was fresh, and perfect. The price is fantastic for what you get. These guys are dedicated and it shows. It will be my go to place. Do not miss this hidden gem at the Camarillo Library.

Excellent food, great prices, and super nice people. It’s wonderful to have a place where the owner truly wants his customers to be perfectly satisfied. A hidden gem of Camarillo. I can’t think of a better place to grab a sandwich and a coffee.

I’ve been twice for lunch and both times were delicious. The first time I had the Italian sandwich to-go. So yummy. I purposely went back next week even though I wasn’t planning to visit the library and had the ham & swiss. I ate outside and it was just such a nice way to have lunch. Also, I should mention the service is great. The guy behind the counter is friendly and makes you feel welcome. This is definitely a gem in Camarillo.

Friendly service, excellent coffee and sandwiches. Chris goes out of his way to make sure your food and drink are perfect. Add a bottled water and chips for $ 1 to any sandwich, best deal in town!

Adorable little café right outside the Camarillo library. The service is warm and friendly, the prices are quite reasonable, and the coffee is good. There is great ambiance and sometimes they even have live music outside. There was a good menu of sandwiches, although I haven’t had the chance to try them yet, but I can say that the cookies are pretty great. This place is worth a trip over, even if for some reason you aren’t going to the library.

Green matcha latte is delicious and perfectly balanced. The sandwiches alone are worth the trip; I recommend a grilled one. Keep it local!

This shop turns a really nice library into the best library I have ever been to. Awesome sandwiches, really good drinks and it is still cheaper than anything close!

What a nice little café to put next to the library. I intern close to Giant Step Café & saw that it had few but great reviews. They are limited here, but that’s okay. I ordered the Italian Panini with a bottle water & sun chips. The total came out to $ 6.25! Now that is proper pricing at its finest. The little meal filled me up perfectly! I really enjoyed it. Later on in the day, I came back for a little treat I had my eye on lol. I ordered a cinnamon roll & free coffee thanks to me checking in. It was decent coffee & pastry. I would back and try another panini! I don’t know many places that can beat these prices. I think Giant Step Café deserve the 4 out 5 stars. I also enjoy the fact that it is connected to the Camarillo Library. A perfect study break treat when I need that break: D

We were en route from LA to Northern California via the 101. We saw this place on Unilocal and gave it a try. The owner/counter person is very pleasant and accommodating. He custom-made a chicken Panini and medium roast coffee for us. The sandwich was good and it was pleasant to sit in the library courtyard. While it’s not somewhere to go out of your way for, if you’re in the area, it hits the spot.

5 stars well deserved! Dank ass cawfeeeee. Dank asss paninis. AMAZING customer service. Very on point . When I first started coming here I was always on that matcha latte. Sooo sooo yummmmmy ! Now there is the Mayan mocha & I’m addicted. FIRE ! Like little coffee fairies tickling your tastebuds of GOODNESS. Hot or ice blended it’s fucking bomb as fuck. Then you got dem paninis. Ohhh good lawwwd. All of them are very worth trying. especially the pesto chicken. NOMNATION. It’s worth coming to the library to get this great customer service & coffee rather than being a basic bitch at Starbucks

The Mayan iced coffee was perfect! My son loved his blended white chocolate and they accommodated our request to omit the coffee on my sons drink. I see this place is going to be packed when the new high school opens!

Giant Steps is a great little coffee shop. The quality of the coffee is what you would expect from a real coffee shop(i.e., not Starbucks), but at a lower price. It’s clear that the beans they used are freshly roasted and ground to order. They also have a nice selection of donuts and sandwiches. I will be back for sure!

People of Camarillo, put down your starbucks cup and make your way to Giant Steps! This new café is such treat and right in the courtyard of the Camarillo Library. This is the perfect café to enjoy the relaxing courtyard while drinking an iced latte and munching on a veggie panini(or maybe snag a bite of a matcha donut)!

Giant Steps is Camarillo’s newest café and is conveniently located in the courtyard of the Camarillo Library. It’s a cool little spot that offers coffee, espresso, teas, salads, paninis, croissants, baked goods and more! We tried a couple different things like the pesto chicken panini, the ham and cheese croissant, and the maple bacon donut. Everything was fresh and delicious. Soothing jazz music, excellent coffee and food paired with great customer service make Giant Steps Café the best café in town!
