I went back here a few days ago for lunch with my co-worker and lone and behold… the woman who worked there no longer is. There were two Asian people sitting at the counter, dirty as hell eating. Thought they were there for lunch but found out they were the new owners. Whatever!!! Had my usual burger and deeeeeeeee-yammmmm the quality went from a 10 to a negative what theF@%$!!! As we were sitting there waiting for our lunch, the waitress brings over a new menu… Vietnamese Cuisine in a few weeks… claimed to be authentic. Reviewed the new menu, how can it be authentic when you offer french fries as a side to everything??? Hello. FEEE-Rench fries??? I ain’t coming here eva! Seeing the owners dress the way they did and the WTF quality of the food??? EEEEWWWWW! Also, it is dirty as F$#@! Shite! Happy eating!!! Don’t!!!

Been here a few times and have always been pleased. I believe this is the same place that used to be in Los Gatos as the menu is almost identical. The Skillet specializes in scrambles which they do well. This past time I had a scramble called a «Texas Ranch Hand» which is two biscuits topped with potatoes, eggs, and country gravy. Primo. They also cook their bacon to perfection which seems to be an issue at other breakfast places around town. Funny thing is, I hardly ever see anyone in this place in the morning which is a shame, I hope it makes it in this tough economy. The Skillet is a winner.

I’m sorry to see all the bad reviews… my daughter and I come here from Sunnyvale & both figure it’s worth the trip. I always get a hamburger or a cheeseburger. Have yet to try their breakfast. The burgers I get are great. You can get fries, a salad or soup with it. The gal who waittresses is older and she’s ALWAYS nice to us, and the service is excellent, she’s really attentive to us. My daughter likes to watch the guy outside, swinging the sign around, advertising the place. I’ve ordered the chicken nuggets and fries for her, and probably wouldn’t do it again, the nuggets aren’t very good –they’re like something we could buy at Safeway in the frozen food aisle, if they were more like freshly breaded and fried chicken pieces, I’d give this place a 5 star rating. Just because they’re kids doesn’t mean that chefs shouldn’t try. The fries are breaded with something and we love those –they can’t really be taken home, so plan to clean your plate there because they never warm up again to taste like they did when they first came out of the fryer. My daughter has also had the mini corn dogs and fries and likes that too. My burgers are always good as I said before, and the salad is a big side salad, really good and crisp. The unsweetened iced tea kind of balances everything out, unless I order the chunky bleu cheese dressing :-D We do come on weekdays, which might be why the service is so good, don’t really know if that’s a factor. Anyway, count us as satisfied. They have an area in the back for larger groups. Otherwise, it’s bar seating, booth or tables and a view of busy Campbell Ave.

I found the service to be great and the food we ordered(pancakes, an omelet, orange juice– pretty standard breakfast items) to be on par with what I expected. Pancakes were fluffy and delightful. My omelet was especially enjoyable and delicious. One thing I noticed was the place was deserted on a Saturday. Kind of strange. What was nice though was at 2pm, we could still order our meal because they serve breakfast all day. I also noticed a sign for G.B. beer @ $ 2.99 a pint 11am-2pm at their bar area. Not sure who starts drinking at 11am but you never know when game time comes around. I’ll be coming back to try the lunch menu.

For some reason my mom and BF really like this place. I’m convinced they like it because they think its cheap… but I chose quality over price. I’ve come here and had great service… I’ve see the reviews about a younger girl… and yes, I’ve seen her too and experienced the same. Not a good sign. I’ve ordered a veggie omelet, but the cheese inside wasn’t melted. That doesn’t seem like the kitchen is that experienced at cooking breakfast. I LOVE breakfast and this place won’t be going on my Brunch hot spots list anytime soon. They do have an infamous HUGE cinnabon that I wouldn’t mind trying if I get dragged here again. They also seem to have dinner and happy hour, but I’ve never been. My recommendation: none.

Serve breakfast all day — nice for my husband who enjoys«breakfast» at dinner time. Servings are generous, hash browns properly browned. And there are also a variety of egg white omelettes served with fruit for low fat/low calorie tasty meals. Cashew chicken salad is delicious with warm freshly grilled chicken.

Hmmmm… My son and I stopped in here for a quick breakfast before his ball game. First of all, I didnt even realize that the girl that took our drink order was even an employee as it looked like she had just rolled out of bed. Not even kidding, she was horrible. She had no apron, and a hair clip clipped to her lower sweatshirt. We sat and sat and sat. I ordered«must try this» or something like that. and it was decent. Seemed a little soggy, but it was ok. My son ordered the kids breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns and bacon. Horribly burnt and how they were ok with serving that mess is beyond me, They forgot our toast, so when they finally remembered, we got 1 piece of cold toast. I would NEVER come back here for breakfast. Ever Ever…

I came here for a breakfast meeting and had a great experience. Call it luck — but they had corned beef hash and eggs on the menu and this totally made my day! On top of that, the lady(I think she’s the owner) was quite friendly and saw me eying the dish, knew I was going to order it when it was my turn to order, and simply nodded questionably and I eagerly nodded my head back. I’d definitely come back here for breakfast — and I know my office will. It was nice and quiet, unlike Stacks and Hobbees, where you have to scream at your meal companion. Definitely a restaurant conducive for a breakfast meeting. Also, service was expedient. :)

My husband and I took our 3-year-old there for dinner for the first time last night. First, it’s important to know what kind of restaurant this is. It’s a diner with a small bar(with 2 TVs showing sports). It’s a breakfast place(priding itself on its half pound cinnamon rolls) that also does lunch and dinner. It’s a Mexican restaurant that also has American options.(This is not obvious from the menu.) It was pretty empty when we went on a Tuesday night. My daughter got 5 pancakes on special for $ 2. She loved them, even though there was no jam on the table and apparently no butter. My husband got the NY steak, which he liked. I got the tostada salad, which was probably the best tostada salad I have had in my entire life, anywhere. The ingredients were fresh, the shell freshly fried, and the shredded beef was perfect. The salsa looked and tasted fresh, and had just a little spiciness. We followed dinner with a slice of cherry pie. The cherries were purple and sour, the crust was thin & crisp – obviously they weren’t kidding when they said it was house-made. The slice was small, but for $ 1.75, we weren’t complaining. The prices were very reasonable(especially for Campbell), and the portions aren’t overwhelming. We’ll definitely be back.

Went here a few times with my mom. She likes the pizza here, and I really cant argue against it. For the quality of food they serve here, you would expect a higher price. Ive only ever had the pizza and beer here, but both have been great. I normally drink pale ales, Hefenweizers, and things like that, and they turned me onto a really decent beer called Shock Top. Really good for a mass produced beer. The pizza was good, not very greasy. Great budget pizza. Im a big guy, but I can only finish two slices on a good day.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a non-crowded breakfast place late Saturday morning and we drove by this place. After getting a recommendation from a banker across the street we decided to check it out. It definitely wasn’t crowded which was exactly what we wanted. The place is really cute and has a lot of potential. We were told to sit where we wanted and were proptly given menus. Everything was great until we got our food. Both of our scrabbles were cold. The cheese on top wasn’t even melted. After growing a little bored with my food I devoured my toast and decided I was ready to get out of there. We were given our check and waited around 15 minutes before one of the waitresses came up and said, «Did you guys need something?» Umm… yeah, change please. With more than 3 people working and only 2 tables to serve we thought the service and attention were lacking. We both left wishing we had gone to one of the busier places.

My boyfriend has seen this place a few times and always wants to come in. So I finally agreed today and we came around 5pm. There were 2 other people there so it was pretty dead. Their menu is cool. I really like that they serve breakfast ALLDAY. They had some good looking breakfast omelets, belgian waffles, pancakes, healthy choices and more. They also have steak, pasta, salad, sandwiches, mexican dishes(fajitas, enchiladas, tamales. etc), and pizza. I decided on a blackened chicken sandwich with avocado. The BF got a BLT on sourdough. The food came out pretty quick and the fries were HOT. These fries were SOGOOD, they are seasoned and were crispy. yummyyyy! The blackened chicken sandwich was pretty good and they give you a good amount of avocado also. The sourdough bread was toasted and VERY crunchy. My boyfriend enjoyed his BLT and said he loved the fries. This place isn’t anything spectacular but its definitely not bad. I think we’d come back if around the area.

I have to say I did not enjoy this restaurant at all. We came in about 8:00pm on a Friday night. The place was dead empty… which to me is not a good sign. You see… we had been driving around looking for a place that was not busy, since all our usual dives were extremely busy.(but what can you expect on a Friday night right?) So we ordered. my partner got enchiladas with beans and I got a pizza that had tomatoes pepperoni and sausage and I also ordered an omelette that consisted of ham, cheese and a side of hashbrowns. Let me tell you everything we ordered was not very good at all… According to my partner his enchiladas were very bland and the beans accompanying tasted like they may have been spoiled. My eggs were also very bland and the hashbrowns were very mushy. The pizza was OK, but also could have used some flavor. The pizza sauce also had a weird taste to it. The only thing I enjoyed was the sausage on top of it which I ended up picking off and eating alone without the pizza. Overall did not enjoy the place. Maybe it was the night we went, since I’m seeing a lot of good comments about this place on here but as for me, my expereince was not good. I guess I should have known better since the place was empty on a Friday night at 8:00 when everything else that night was really busy…

I’ve now been to The Skillet a couple of times, aided by it’s convenient location close to home. Staff is always friendly and welcoming, though the place is a little dead on weekday mornings. Then again, this is nestled in Campbell, which is not the most hopping town in the world. On the first visit I tried the Southern scramble. The biscuits were soft and fluffy but the gravy was only mediocre — a little bland taste-wise and would’ve been better with bits of sausage. I liked the scrambled eggs but didn’t care for the ham. The hashbrowns were only ok — crispy on top but pretty soggy on the bottom. On the second visit, I opted for the triple header scramble. Once again the eggs were good, and this time I had bacon, sausage, ham, onions and green pepper mixed in. Definitely a better choice than previously. I tried the homefries this time, which were ok, but also nothing outstanding. They were cut into thin slices, as opposed to small chunks, and weren’t soggy but also not too crispy. Overall, it’s not bad for cheap breakfast close to home.

The people here give it a good atmosphere. They are always friendly and helpful. This time I had the S.O.B.(south of the border) omelette. I was not disappointed. it was good and it filled me up. But I’m not sure that this was the best food around. but for local cuisine, it is satisfactory. i would come back again to support the locals.

We had breakfast here the other day after stopping at ACE Hardware. This isn’t an area we frequent, and didn’t know the restaurant was here. Just saw it as we were leaving the parking lot. So glad we did! The food was really good and reasonably priced. The service couldn’t have been better. The people were friendly in a real way, not sales way. So nice to be served warm food by warm people! Nothing else much to say, except we’ll be back, probably the next time we go to ACE!

Good Breakfast! I don’t know why this place has such low reviews… maybe the other food sucks? This review is strictly based upon their breakfast. I ordered the special corn beef hash with eggs, toast and hash browns. My corn beef hash wasn’t drenched in grease and the eggs were cooked perfeclty over-easy. My only complaint was that the toast seemed a little sweet… our friend said it might be sweet butter. I don’t know what it was but I could have gone without the sugary toast. My bf ordered an Triple Header Omelette and our friend ordered an egg white omlette… All the food was good and the service was good. I would definitely come here again for breakfast.

Yeah, they still serve pizza here. :) I really like the breakfast here. It’s really nothing special, but it’s the right amount of food for the right price. You really do gotta try the ‘you gotta try this’ skillet, it’s good. I think the last time i went there i got the joe’s special(i think it had a different name) skillet, it was really good. HOWEVER, We went here for dinner once… meh. I got a chicken sandwhich, which was literally a piece of grilled chicken, some bread, a tomato and lettuce. boring! she got a shroom buger, which was pretty good, but i think we had to pay extra for the onions. They have a BUNCH of TVs here though so it would be a cool place to go eat and watch a sports game if you’re into that sort of thing.
